I was in a car…read moreaccident 9 months ago and completed an entire treatment plan of chiropractic adjustments at a different practice until they said I was on "maintenance" even though I was still having severe neck pain, fatigue and numbness on left side of my face with headaches. I did a treatment plan of Physical therapy which helped some, but still did not resolve all of my symptoms. I was at my wits end when I called and scheduled with McAlpine chiro. For the first time since my accident, I finally felt heard and could sense his genuine compassion and eagerness to want to help me. After the first two adjustments I already had relief from the pain that I had for 8 months. Soon my mood improved, my extreme fatigue started to go away, and the pain was minimal. For 8 months my whole life was on pause. I was a completely different person. Once I went to McAlpine Chiro, I started making plans for activities with my family again! Going on bike rides, and making plans to participate in all the things I used to enjoy. Dr. De Young saved my summer. They took me in as quickly as they could, and were comforting and pleasant seeing I was in lower back pain. Dr. Ben DeYoung is wonderful. After x-rays, an assessment of my pain areas, he completely explained what he needed to do to help me. He is a good listener and takes his time with patients, giving them individual care with no rushed feeling. After a few treatments, I'm happy to report, I'm in good shape. I also do yoga and continued with some appropriate stretches that Dr. Ben approved of and felt they would help my home care. I would highly recommend the McAlpine Chiropractic Group. He adjusted the problem areas of my back and my neck with some other areas. I immediately smiled for the first time in months. So to set the story. I had been seeing other Chiropractors prior to Dr.Heath. I had been to 2 other offices that could not and did not want to fix me. I hadn't been able to smile or stand straight for months. I was cranky and lazy. I had intestinal issues. My blood pressure was sky high. I was a total wreck. I took a chance with this office. It was the best decision i have made in years. I have been through the talks about how you can solve everything with the right spinal care. The staff at Chiropractic First believe in this. It is not a saying that they use to get your money. (it works like that at other places) They actually showed me how i could be better and explained why. No doc ever takes the time to explain anything now days. The office itself is a bit old and dated. It is clean and does not smell. The equipment is in relative good condition. The staff are all super friendly. The staff is in good shape, health, etc. Appointments are carefully watched and if you miss one they call to get you in. There was not a charge for missing one of my appointments i couldn't make it to. Instead they went out of their way to find a new slot for me. I have been given a instructions on how to help myself with stretches and a little foam neck support. It turn out that i have a neck issue that causes the back issue. Nobody else noticed this. PROPS AGAIN to HEATH Dr. Heath turned out to be a bit of a comedian also. He makes jokes and has a fun time while he checks your alignment and then the majestic adjustment and you feel great. I don't believe in magic but some people have talent. I wont say that my neck and back are anywhere near fixed, but i am a new patient and i expect that he will get me there soon. This has been by all means the best care i have ever had. Hands down. I was a 9-10 pain when I went to Chiropractic First, the first adjustment I was a 5 and by the end of the week I was a 4-3. They said they would not schedule me see anyone else as I was a patient of only this doctor who left, not of their clinic. Which to me did not make sense, they just throw customers of their clinic to the curb because a doctor left? I had this happen with a medical clinic and they just assigned me to another Physician. Next, they told me I could wait a few months as they were possibly getting a new doctor. They did not care that I was in pain. I no longer recommend this place to anyone.

My "insurance Dr" told me I'd have to take Omeprazole the rest of my life and that everything I was feeling was due to my age, and it happens.. I haven't needed Omeprazole in 4 months. I feel 90% better than I did 4 months ago, I have no doubt that I will be 100% soon enough! You can't put a price tag on your health or a Dr that actually cares about your health, and fixes the issue vs throwing prescriptions at you! I can't say enough great things about DBC.
