Recently we have experienced multiple lost items from this store. On a call today I was told it's impossible for them to lose items, proven wrong. They lost a $140 jacket of my wife and now I'm being told they don't have my suit separate vest, the one I was married in. The gentlemen said if I care to call corporate.... Wow, where to start? Against my better judgment I tried Klinke. I try not to go to chains but I was unable to find another place in my neighborhood. Upon entering, I filled out the page of information and dropped off one suit and one tie to be cleaned. I made sure to let counter person know that the tie had a small (fresh, about two hours old) stain. She said it would be no problem. Upon receiving my receipt I noticed the phone number was wrong. I let her and she replied: Oh, that does not matter. I insisted she change it as I want to be called if need be. Otherwise, why take my phone number? She took my number down but did not print out a new ticket. I did not want to fight over something so small, so I left. I returned one week later to pick up my clothes. They told me they had been done for four days. I reminded them that I had said I would not be back in town for a week and at the time they said it would be OK. I checked the tie, it was still dirty. The manager (Barb?) came over and would not let me finish a single sentence. When I asked why the tie still had its dirt spot and what was done to try to clean it, she kept interrupting me. Then said she would try to clean it a few different way, free of charge. She said there were three or four possible ways to remove a stain and only one was done. I asked why only one. She never answered. Instead she took the tie, gave me a new slip for picking up the tie. My info was still wrong and she said she would have to charge me to clean the tie again if I wanted to fix it. Four days later the tie was picked up, perfectly clean. Now I ask...why could that not have been done the first time? I hate this place. I will never go back again. If anyone reads this and they live in Fitchburg, please let me know of a great neighborhood place. read more

Unfortunately I have to write that this cleaners has really disappointed me in their service. I went there to drop off a few dress shirts and two suits I use for my job. I picked them up a couple days later and I found the shirts not cleaned properly in the spots I told them to spot clean. Also, one of my suit pants has been damaged with two holes in the pants that were not there previously. I'm highly disappointed for I was recommended this cleaners and the location. Yet, I have been thoroughly let down and now have a damaged suit pants that I'll likely not be able to wear again, prompting me to get another suit. When I brought the attention to the improperly cleaned shirts they said there was nothing they could do but try again. I called about the suit pants because I just found them when I got home and haven't received a response yet. I am not sure if this is common that they damage clothes, not fully clean shirts etc. However, it's quite unfortunate that I have to write this review about how let down I was from this service. read more

I've watched this business struggle over the 4 years I've been going here. The service and the quality are slipping to the extent I am compelled to address via a review in hopes that the business takes notice and takes a look at operations. Service is unbearably slow. I cannot remember the last time I saw more than one staff working and speedy customer service is never a focus. My clothes often come back with the infamous "sorry we tried to clean it" tag. Most actual stains are not resolved. The counter area and service floor are in serious need of deep cleaning and organizing. It looks like the junk drawer exploded and no one bothered to pick anything up. We need this local business to succeed please take a good hard look and make it better! read more

They do a good job getting stains out. I had a particularly tough one on some expensive wool dress slacks that came out eventually. Didn't come out the first time, and I pointed this out. They sent it through again, no cost of course, and now good as new. Overall happy with their service. The prices are higher that what I've seen in other cities. I have been going to Klinke Cleaners in Fitchburg for some time now. The service is good and they are always on time. The clothes are properly done with some exceptions like sometimes they miss obvious stains. This does not happen often. However, in all fairness, when I brought up these issues up, they have always taken care of the stains, if it was possible without damaging the fabric. I love receiving email updates when my clothes are ready and friendly reminders for pick up, if I have forgotten to pick up my order. The store manager, Barb, is very friendly, organized, and hard-working. On one occasion, she helped me bring the dry cleaning up to my car (it was a large order). She remembers my name, and even my orders, which is amazing to me given how busy they seem to be at any given time. The staff there is very friendly, including the young women who also amazingly remember my name. The store hours are convenient for the most part, except that I wished they were opened until 7:00 pm on Saturdays, or sometimes on Sunday afternoons. FYI, they do not wash the blue reusable dry cleaning bags, even if you ask them. The prices seem high to me, so I try to use coupons as much as possible because I spend a lot of money getting my clothes dry cleaned every month since I wear suits for work M-F. FYI, you can get printed coupons in the Dollars & Sense magazine, which are the best coupons. These are sometimes hard to find. You can also print some coupons from their website. Overall, they are conveniently located, and I enjoy their express check-out. I wished they had more reasonable prices, particularly for frequent customers, given that it gets expensive to get clothes dry cleaned on a regular basis. read more

I have been using Klinke Cleaners for over 10 years and i have been happy with their service on my shirts since i like them with heavy starch. This last time i brought in my shirts they were not up to par, very light starch. I will give it one more try to see if something was overlooked. read more

I come here about every 3 weeks to get all of my dress pants & shirts cleaned and is always convenient with their multiple locations in the Madison area.
