The monastery church St. Katharinental resides within the St. Katharinental Klinik complex. It was built in 1732-34 and is a wonderful example of southern German Baroque influences. As is the whole monastery, the Church is owned by the canton of Thurgau. The Church is used for services, but only in exceptional cases. The main entrance of the Church is open between 7.30 am and 6 pm daily, but the Interior of the Church can be entered only up to the grid under the gallery. It was recently restored and there is a museum which can be toured as part of a group or via a pre - arranged tour. We visited the church as part of the recent MuseumNacht 2012 event. read more
