Add chucks of apple to your apple fritters and you'll be tops. Otherwise, a good bakery.

The middle layer was to be chocolate with the same cream cheese icing with pecans. The outside of the entire cake was to be done using cream cheese icing. The rosettes on the bottom layer were to be done in royal blue. The second layer had the simple royal blue ribbon we had given her to use for the color preparation. The top layer was supposed to be polka dots using the royal blue color. The cakes were set up on tiers and she was to use white roses between the 2 spaces and a couple on the top layer. So, the cake turned out all butter pecan with no added pecans in the cake or in the icing that was between the layers. The rosettes were play-doh blue and looked like an amateur had made them. The top layer had what appeared to be a little darker blue color, but looked like candy dots pressed into the frosting. Finally, the white roses that were to decorate between the layers were fake. They looked like the cheapest she could find, or maybe she pulled them out of an old vase from her home. She was supposed to set up the cake and was given another $20 to do so. She left the plastic wrap on the entire cake. Guests arrived to see that mess. I contacted her via PM on her business FB page. She assured me that this is what was ordered. I told her that me, and the the bride and groom were all there when it was ordered and I am certain she was told all of the above "supposed to be," information. She stated that that was not true. I told her to review her order and then get back with me. About 20 minutes later, she sent me a picture of some order form that she must have just rewritten. She said that that was the original order form. This just proved to me that she is a dishonest person. At that point, I knew there was no reasoning with her. If she is willing to rewrite a cake order, then that was that. In my opinion, she should have accepted and owned up to the fact that she did not make the cake correctly and that it looked very generic. We paid $324 for something we could have gotten at Wal-Mart for half of the cost and it probably would have been made correctly and been prettier. I thought that she should have stepped up and apologized and offered something to make up for it, i.e.: make a birthday cake in the future for free or refunded us half the cost of the cake. She didn't even try to make us happy. I don't think she is an upstanding business woman. I think her business is good for cakes that you would normally buy in a grocery store and she does have great cupcakes, but for something formal, I would never order from her again and I would definitely never recommend her to anyone. P.S. I rated her a 3 star because the cake tasted really good.

If you are ever in the Bowling Green, Kentucky area, and you are gluten-free or not, you absolutely…read moremust go visit Awaken Bakery | Always Gluten-Free! My husband had to make an unscheduled, quick trip to Bowling Green this week for work. I decided to travel with him. I will never skip a trip to Bowling Green again, just so I can go back to this bakery. I have been gluten-free for 13 years and have tried gluten-free baked products all over the country from Washington state to Florida. Awaken Bakery has absolutely broken the code on gluten-free bread and desserts. My husband does not eat gluten-free unless he takes a bite of something I have. Yesterday, he tried a blueberry scone, shared a toasty sandwich with me, shared a sausage biscuit with me, and also got a lemon cake cup. He said everything he ate, he would not ever have been able to tell was gluten-free and was absolutely delicious. Oh, he also shared my cinnamon roll with me. We devoured that thing in less time than it took to actually order and pay for it! That cinnamon roll was the BEST cinnamon roll I have ever had in my life, gluten-free or not! I also got a mini cupcake sampler that had wedding cake, carrot cake, and a chocolate version that I have not tried yet. Having traveled the country to eat, lol, I can tell you that this Awaken Bakery is one place that I will absolutely put on my list to travel back to any opportunity I have. I wish I hadn't been starving and had taken the time to take photos of their sweet little bake shop and all of our food before we started devouring it, but I did manage to grab a photo of the cupcake sampler, minus one cupcake, the French toast, cup, and the lemon cake cup. Everything was so delicious that I even bought a hat and T-shirt and ball cap from them. I am including a photo of that. The little girl that took our order was super sweet and very knowledgeable. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, and everything we have tried or devoured, was absolutely delicious! Seriously, gluten-free or not, go visit Awaken Bakery!

I can't…read moredescribe the wonderful, blend of yummy smells that hits your nose when you first enter the quaint bakery. I have tried a lot of their cupcakes ,I say I'm going to try something new, but it's the cake I can't turned down. On a rainy day or need a pick up, had my husband go grab lunch, really was as good as it looked, of course he brought home different yummy cupcakes filled with such cream it melts in your mouth! I found the main room to be a quaint beautiful room filled with decorative tables done with class. My husband and I found the best hidden gem in Hopkinsville Ky. It is really a relaxing and enjoyable for a break it's not one of those experiences to rush through but to enjoy with a friend , aI love one, or even a business meeting. We found the menu to be simple but a variety of classic homemade treats I have yet to try all yet. It has a simple homemade lunch menu, cakes. I can guarantee anything you want, they will make it, this is the to go place for every occasion but we use it for the army get togethers for those who retire, or move on to another. A huge hit, leaving those who want to know where we had it made. The last one went so quick we had to buy cupcakes from a grocery store. My husbands boss was leaving to a new job, we seen the ad on the internet, stopped by to see if they would make a speciality cakes. My husband brought the badge in and picked up the cake several days later to a beautiful cake piped by hand was the whole badge! The cake was a hit, so was the taste, another cake that was demolished by the guys. If we knew, would have bought 2. This is a place that I will tell you, it will never disappoint you, true to their word, a comfortable place you can enjoy sometime light with a cup of coffee or tea. I have to throw it in here, I am in love with the carrot cake where as my husband loves the peanut butter, you can't go wrong with the fluffy plain Jane. I just found out our church at LifePoint in Clarksville TN is having them to cater the women conference. I'm not sure what their doing for desert, but our small group will be enjoying a Cosmopolitan cake on Wednesday right after for our monthly potluck. I am dying to try this cake yet. Yes I highly recommend! Catering Light lunch Fresh local coffee Tea A whole glass full of yummy homemade candy. Custom Cakes Cupcakes is a must! Honestly I've never had an macaroon, my next try I believe. My only complaint is the hour's but I do understand. There isn't much here as people yet to move here, but we are starting to see, some moving here after Clarksville is pretty squish together. Good news though , a lot of young military are starting to move here, just enough, but like to see I Hopkinsville grows s little to keep these small business open. A great gem, one of the must stop!!!!

Very cute aesthetically, very poor functionality as a safe play for littles. Poor morals around not caring and trying to shift blame as to why a child. Do not take your kids here if you're looking for a place they can run around and play safely, I would go elsewhere.
