I had home schooled her during her illness, but she still had to take her finals at school. I knew math was her weak area, and Algebra was her nemesis. After testing, it was revealed that my daughter had the math skills of a seventh grader. Yet, we only had three weeks to get her caught up with her Algebra lessons and prepare her for her final (even though it had been six months since she'd attended.) The staff at Sylvan was wonderful, sympathetic and understanding. The teachers were AMAZING. They taught my daughter different methods to learn the concepts. My daughter mentioned how weird one of the teachers was, whom sang his lessons to her. She said as she was taking her Algebra final at school, she found herself singing the songs in her head. The training was a success! The staff was as excited as we were that my daughter had passed! When we originally started going my daughter was leery about going. Corte Sierra is one of the safest and advanced schools in my opinion. They have done amazing at being support for my son who needed speech services, all the way to bullying. Some of the teachers are original teachers from when I was in 3rd grade back in 2002/2003. I travel 14 miles to and from to get my kids to CSE and it's worth every penny.

I understand this school is packed to the brim but it seems to have a method to create a functional foundation. I can tell my child is being educated and is advancing appropriately.
