Brush Creek runs through it. Three body weight exercise stations. Too bad the coffee shop at the entrance was ahead of its time & closed! Great park! Very clean.

The workout was welcomed; the course was laid out over a large area, with very little overlapping of holes. Each hole has 3 throwing options, typically with concrete pads at each. Only drawback was that the course does not drain well. There was considerable mud and no way around it. Overall, a great park and will go again!

I was only there on a cold fall morning to take advantage of the "hiking trail" loop around the fields. I put quotation marks around the words hiking and trail because I don't know how much of a hike I consider it due to the entire trail being paved. It's just over a mile in length with some elevation. Regardless, I found it to be an easy to find suburban community park where I felt safe to wander around when there were maybe only two other people wandering the trail. I also found it clean and well maintained. Park hours are posted as 7am - 11pm. There are 2018 plans for a disc golf course and a nature trail that I'm hoping will lead into the actual wooded area (and maybe into some more challenging terrain). I'll check out the park again once the trail is complete.

This is a nice place for heliophiles, walkers, runners, soccer players, and swimmers. There is a…read moreloop that's almost 100% unshaded and a mile long. You can traverse it in either direction, just remember to stay to the right (unless your passing). Inside the loop is a ball field, a few soccer fields, a playground, an outdoor body weight gym, and a large swimming facility with various types of entertainment. There are also a couple shelters with picnic tables underneath, that I assume you can rent for maybe a private party. There are a few restroom facilities with a water fountain as well. Half of the park is wooded and there is a approved plan in place to create an 18 hole disc golf course. The course is supposed to be top tier, compared on a national level. With a planned average of 588 feet per hole, I'm sure it will attract lot skilled talent and probably a competition or two in the first year. If you're new to disc golf, there is a handicapped accessible recreational course planned with six holes, averaging about 175 ft per hole, respectfully. One of the only thing I don't really like about the park is a portion of the paved trail butts up to the road. There is no space or physical barrier between you and cars passing by.

Never terribly busy in the mornings when I come, but lots of friendly walkers and a nice way to unwind and spend time outdoors. There used to be tennis courts as well but I understand they removed them in favor of the playground which is too bad as there aren't any other courts within 10 minutes or so.

I was looking for snapping turtles, but did not find any today. I did see a lot of dragonflies/damsel flies, butterflies and cute little birds on this sunny summer day. I might post some pics of the dragon flies and butterflies, but I did not get excellent shots because they were very skittish today. There is never anyone here unless there is some event going on.

Stop at this intersection on Kummer Rd. (facing McKinney Rd.), shift your car into neutral and the car will slowly climb the hill. This is a public road; WATCH FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC. If you have to turn around, there's a small turn off on the left side of Kummer Road. There is really no lack of gravity. It's believed to be an optical illusion based on the geographic layout of the land. Still, it's a fun and cool thing to experience, especially for the kids (or for those of us who want to pretend we're still kids, and see the magic in everyday things).

Golf Course Review: I had a fantastic time golfing at North…read morePark Golf Course for the first time. I am fairly new to this sport, so this was the perfect course to practice on. My tee time to play the back nine was at 6:40am, and I finished around 8:20am. My round was $18.00 including the cart. Every employee I talked to was kind and made sure I enjoyed myself. The course and cart path are both well taken care of. I can not wait to come back and play the front nine!

This is the shelter in North Park dedicated to viewing the Eagles nest. There are 10 binoculars in…read morethe shelter, although they are not high quality. Still they do help in viewing the nest. Most times I come here, there are frequent visitors that hang out to take photos and answer questions. There is lots of other wildlife to see, especially lots of birds. There's a small trail that goes through a wetland area, and that's just off to the left of the shelter. Just behind the shelter is a free library, and it looks rather new and in great shape. There's a port-o-jane in the parking lot, how convenient! No eggs in the nest this year, but there's high hopes for next year.
