The captains on the boat were so nice and did such a great job! You definitely need sunscreen and don't wear a hat, you'll definitely lose it! They have cold water on board for $3 each, so convenient as it is hot! The tickets were about $35 each and parking was $10. The ride is one hour, 30 minutes at a smooth pace and then FAST for the 30 minutes back. I highly recommend this ride if you haven't done it!

My family and I met the tiki boat at lynnhaven public boat ramp. Captain Robbie was our guide he greeted everyone with a smile and a lei that was a nice touch. The boat was a 30 by 15 foot pontoon boat wonderfully decorated tiki style with ample comfortable seating no matter where you sit had a great view of the inlet.Learned a lot about the inlet on the cruise over to our first destination lots of bars restaurants and beautiful houses cruising down the river every one waving at us. Tiki boats bring good vibes . We then arrived at the park beach Captain Robbie expertly docked us. Had a swim call and picnic it was so nice pretty much had the place to ourselves. Then back on board to cruise the rest of the inlet. Watched a beautiful sunset! I am really happy with this tiki trip my daughter said it was the highlight of her week. My wife and I have been sailing a few years on lakes in 25 footers and wanted to get out on some…read morebigger waters and on bigger boats. We also wanted formal training and certifications and we found this place online. We also thought seeing Virginia and the east coast a bit would have been a great time for my wife Brittany's birthday. So we flew to Virginia's SailTime courses instead of one of the the ones in our own state. We flew from California and I spoke with Connie and she was kind enough to let us stay on a 41 ft yacht (Adiona, a 41 ft Jenneua) for our stay in Virginia which saved us about half a grand on hotels. When we landed a lady named Brooke made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. When we got on board to unpack there was even a note waiting for us that said happy birthday. Brooke was a sweetheart for sure and we felt like family by the time we had set our bags down. She made sure of it. We met our captain the next morning. A man named Jim Lant who took us through our 101, 103 and 104 courses over the next 6 days. We had a GREAT time and I honestly didn't want to leave when we finished up our last tests. Those six days we sailed every day and every place we sailed too seemed to have friendly people there who all knew each other and our captain Jim. The first ocean sail my wife and I ever did together was from Norfolk to cape Charles and that's pretty cool. Well miss the people and sailing for sure! Everyone who loves sailing should come here and meet Connie, Jim and Brooke. You won't regret it and we won't ever forget it. Jim is the BEST captain.

Captain Jim was absolutely amazing. He was so patient and did such a fantastic job of teaching us about sailing and he allowed all of us to take part in one way or another. He was so good at including everyone and making sure each person received direct guidance from him. It's generally really hard to find activities that all 6 of us enjoy due to the age range but this turned out to be an absolutely perfect day. I would highly recommend Sailtime if you are thinking of trying this adventure! Working with them on scheduling was so easy and smooth as well. Be warned, you will want a sail boat afterward.....

Captain Bill is an expert sailor and prioritizes safety. We felt comfortable at all times. We especially enjoyed learning more about the science of sailing and waterway protocols. Upon learning that our teenager sails, Captain Bill invited our son to crew and even temporarily take the helm. What a treat! Now, I'm not much a fisherman, never really enjoyed it but never disliked it, just isn't my thing. However, these guys made it a good time. More than willing to educate and talk me and my son through anything and everything fishing related. Overall it was an amazing experience for my family. Would recommend, and will book with them again next time we make our way down here.

I've walked up to this many many times and shopped for fudge and beach-themed goodies and seen…read moreOcean Eddie's but I've never fished here or paid to fish here. This past weekend my mom and her fiancée were in town and we had a boat fishing trip planned that was scrubbed due to wind and waves and surf. Bummer. So, we brought him here so he could at least do some fishing and hopefully catch something! It's easy to roll up and rent a fishing pole and buy some bait which you do on the left side shop right before the pay booth for the pier. Once you do that - you pay to go through. I might be off on the pricing but it's around $15-20 to rent a fishing pole and get bait - then something like $13 to fish for the day and $4 for an observer (no fishing). Once you're on the other side there is a small snack bar serving burgers, fries and hot dogs and two bathrooms on the right. Then, the pier. There are tons of benches lining both sides and it goes out pretty far actually. Even crowded as it was the day we were there, we easily found a spot to fish further down. I recommend you bring a folding chair and cooler with you if you plan to be here for a while - while there are a lot of benches - it wasn't enough for everyone. And you'll want somewhere to put your fish if you catch them (duh). There is a "station" of three areas to clean your caught fish about 1/3 way down the pier open to anyone and most people were amiable and friendly and willing to share their space to allow you to scrunch in. All in all - a fun day and a fun trip. But I wouldn't pay to watch too often bc after about 30 minutes I'm ready to go. lol.
