I told them I had two scheduled and took off work. They told me there was no way they could ever have someone here at 9:30 so I don't know what the hell is going on over there, but apparently they can't fix a simple leak and they have no idea how to schedule an appointment. Awful, awful, awful stay far away. And besides that, the price was absolutely ridiculous to come move a drain and a water line.

Had issue with toilet gurgling. Filed claim with home waranty service. Simrel Plumbing sent out a…read moretech. Described issue to tech. He checked and ran pressure through main sewer line. Advised he really needed a camera to see in the pipe and an snake with a cutting head which he did not have. He did say that the warranty may not cover it. I asked approx how much would it cost if not covered, he responded about $400. I said I could pay if not covered by warranty and he told me he would be back the next day with the equipment he needed. He did not show the next day and did not respond to text message. When I looked at the invoice he left the only note was a quote to replace the sewer line for just under $4000. A day or two later I got a mail from the warranty company the case was closed. I had the waranty company reopen the case advising what I was told and by the tech and that there could be an issue with the plumbing vents, a clogged vent can also cause toilets to gurgle. Simrel made appointment to come back out, they never showed. I contacted them back, they appologized and made another appointment for 2 days later to be there from 7am - 11am. At 9:50 I got a text he was on the way. Did not show. I called the office at noon and after a 10 min discussion was told they would not check the vent stack as my house was too high (my house is a 1 story ranch with a finished walkout basement) and sent my case back to the warranty company.

Not only that, they were able to remove the defective pipes, and put in 75 ft of new (correct) pipes in a few hours. We have water pressure again! Alvarado Plumbing was extremely polite, arrived on time both days they came, and charged a fair price for their work. They also saved us from changing out our water heater when they easily could've taken advantage.
