My daughter went to this company for some private SAT prep primarily focusing on the math portion. The price is the same as most all other companies for private sessions. However, my daughter showed up to their facility for tutoring and the tutor was not there, he tried to tutor her over FaceTime! No white board, or any visual adjuncts. He simply tried to talk her through the concepts. Unfortunately, her personality is not the type to say anything except at home, she was actually more confused and the tutor seemed to get frustrated with her. When I called the company up to get an explanation they were a little defensive saying my daughter is getting it, when she is standing next to me shaking her head no! This method of tutoring was not mentioned to us when we had the initial consultation with them and paid for the 14 private sessions and 2 SAT practice tests. The focus of the tutoring was math because that was here weakness with very little to no tutoring on reading comprehension. Funny, she improved 80 points on reading comprehension (no real tutoring) and only 10 points on math. Buyer beware! It appears this company is more focused on the the business aspect rather than the needs of the student! I would not and connot recommend this company. read more

This company rocks! I highly recommend Raphael and his staff for offsite proctoring purposes. I work full time and take online advanced engineering classes from Old Dominion University. As expected, all the midterms and finals require a proctor. I first tried the public library and they could not accommodate me, siting not enough staff. I didn't want to go over to Cal State Northridge as that would add an extra hour or hour and a half to the process. I rolled the dice and hoped that a tutoring center would be able to qualify as a proctoring center and they did! Know It All is professional and reasonably priced. Raphael has been very accommodating and flexible with my work schedule. He has gone above and beyond to make sure someone was available in the late evenings and/or morning for me. They made sure I had ample space and a quiet atmosphere for my exams. Want to know the best and my most favorite thing that Raphael did for me? I had previously sent him my full semester test schedule and ODU had sent the exam so he reminded me that my exam was coming up before I contacted him to schedule proctoring time. I looked online for a tutoring company to help me with grad school and was also referred to Know it all Tutors by my school and by a former professor of mine. I called Know it All Tutors and Raphael set me up instantly with Sodah who is familiar with my classes, fantastic, knowledgable and a great help and support. She tailors sessions based on what is most important to make the time together efficient and effective. Sodah supports me in more ways than one such as being a coach or therapist in times of frustration or need. Raphael is very understanding and makes sure the needs of a client is being met by asking how things go. I dropped out of high school in the 70's. I never went back to school or took the equivalency test because I was afraid of failing. This year I realized that I needed to get my high school certificate (a) for myself - if anything else, to know I accomplished the task, (b) for my daughter - to show her that no matter what your age or status is in life, we have the strength to do it (whatever "it" might be), and (c) so that I can go to college - because in order to grow in my career, I need a college education. I studied with my Know It All Tutor for the past two months, meeting once weekly. He was patient, never once was he condescending or did he make me feel inadequate, he made learning FUN and INTERESTING (even math, which I was terrified of), and he was always available to answer questions during the week when I was studying. In addition, he has been an incredible source of encouragement. He continually told me I could do it and encouraged me not to give up. Today I received my HISET exam scores ... and I PASSED!! I am now able to move forward with my education ... even at this later age in life. There are not enough thank you's in the world to appropriately thank Know It All Tutors. My son has been tutoring with Raphael at Know It All Tutors for about 8 months. I have seen great improvement not only in my son's work habits, but also in his grades. We called Know it All on a friend's recommendation when my son had to attend summer school for Algebra II. We expected to get great math tutoring, but we ended up getting so much more. The online summer school my son was in was a joke; we never received good information about requirements or any kind of academic support. Scott, our tutor, gave my son fantastic math help and was able to tailor his approach to my visual/spatial son's strengths to make the most of the instruction time.
