Staff and facilities are fabulous. Couldn't be happier with the treatment I've received.

*Update October 2022** Had a phone appointment, the time…read morecame and went, then the call came through 45 minutes later and I missed it. They sent me a message saying I have to now pay a fee before I can ever book an appointment again. Attempted to book a phone appointment today, which they declined and cancelled due to the fee owing. How is this fair? This plus the removal of bulk billing for all patients, I think it is time to finally find a new GP for myself and my two children. Such a pity as Bryce was there for the birth of my now nearly 13 year old son at the Angliss. --- I've been coming here for nearly 12 years now. The doctors are fantastic, particularly Dr Kimberley. However recently I've felt the receptionists are really ruining the caring feel of the centre. Twice now I've come 15 minutes early for an appointment, which happened to be during lunch time when the nurses sit at reception and lock the front door to have their lunch. This is FINE, however, I'm not sure if they are aware that you can hear EVERYTHING they say and laugh about easily from the other side of the front door. As I approached the door today I hear "we're clooooosed" in a loud and snarky voice, then someone comment saying "I wish people would just read the hours", followed by laughter. Someone then opened the door to tell me they are all having lunch and to wait outside. Minutes later, two separate elderly patients arrive and are let in as I sit in my car. It really shows that there is a snarky gossipy culture when patients aren't around, which is really disappointing as the building has some amazing doctors. I'm really unsure whether I will continue on as a patient now.

The Wantirna Medical Clinic on Harold Street has been my local doctors for years. The doctors tend…read moreto rotate pretty frequently - enough so that I've never really had a regular doctor but a string of random practitioners who I am unlikely to see again. This works out pretty well sometimes as it means I can ask whatever embarrassing medical questions I want with no fear of having to face them again in three months time. On the other hand it's also pretty annoying as it means that you have to catch each doctor up with your medical history each time you go. This practice never seems to be running on time with appointments with very long waiting times even when you booked well in advance. My advice is to book one of the first sessions each morning to avoid this. They have a kids play area in the waiting room and plenty of magazines and books for older people to look at. There's also a small television in the corner to keep you entertained. There's about four or five doctors who work here at any given time so they also accept walk-ins without appointments- however except to wait a really, really long time. On site they have a second building, which is equipped for blood tests, injections and x-rays. The staff in this building are really friendly and very good at dealing with people who are scared of having needles. Despite the waiting around, the service here is generally pretty good and because it's so local to me I really cannot complain.

In Loving Memory - Celebrating the Birthday of Dr. Robert Rustem Molnar (June 26)…read more On June 26, we pause to remember and celebrate the life of Dr. Robert Rustem Molnar, an extraordinary physician whose compassion, wisdom, and dedication touched the lives of many. Though Dr. Molnar has left us, his spirit and influence remain deeply present. He was more than a gifted doctor--he was a true healer, a mentor, and a pillar of integrity. His legacy lives on not only in the lives of his patients, but also in the broader community he served with such devotion and humility. Dr. Molnar approached medicine with both skill and heart, earning admiration from colleagues and deep gratitude from families across generations. His contributions to the medical field and to the people he cared for are lasting gifts. On what would have been his birthday, we honor his memory, celebrate his life, and remain grateful for the incredible impact he made. Gone but never forgotten. Happy heavenly birthday, Dr. Molnar

On Friday, I saw Dr Mohammad Karim following a back injury at work. His behaviour was very…read moredisturbing, his speech was confused and nonsensical, he refused to listen and he spoke over me with a raised voice to the point I became very concerned for my safety. He said that my injury was psychological and accused me, repeatedly, of having "a weak mind". He then tried to push daily counselling sessions on me, starting the following day (Saturday), with him saying that he would "make your mind strong again". I found him to be hostile and I felt threatened. Dr Karim's conduct and choice of words are disgraceful, and I have reported him to the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority. To anyone reading this, if you have had a bad experience with a health professional, you have the right to complain by contacting the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra), and you can submit a complaint online or over the phone.
