So, I dropped my car off at Lithia for diagnostics. They weren't able to get to the car until the following Tuesday which was understandable because on the holiday. On Tuesday morning, I was given a quote from Lithia for $7,800 to fix my problem. I was charged $109 for the diagnostics. I explained to Lithia that I needed a second opinion due to the size of the estimate. I picked up my car and went straight to Babcock's Garage. They were so nice to me. I was treated with respect from moment one. My VW was completely repaired for........... $497.00. Need I say more? I would recommend this garage to anyone, especially VW owners. Related to this, they put on a tire and charged me over twice the quoted price, without discussing this with me. When I saw the invoice and complained about the tire price, became irate, and would not consider an adjustment. Instead, justified the overcharge by claiming they did other work on my vehicle for free.

Pulled up and was not impressed with the facility but, they were so clean inside the shop and so efficient. Very friendly. I am happy to support local businesses over a chain. Price paid was cheap, they did an excellent job beyond an oil change, and I left very happy. You could see how they took care of their customers, and the quality of their work. In and out in 1 hour. He told me they want to put my car on their expensive radiator flush machine but my radiator doesn't need flushing. Then I had a problem with a noise it was making when I had to make a tight turn, like in a parking lot. He listened to it (can't recall if he looked underneath) and told me what the problem was. He said it was very expensive (over $1,000) to fix and I didn't have to fix it. I said that it would get worse. He said, no, it would stay the same. Mike is a Master Mechanic who is totally honest and doesn't overcharge. I have now been there many times and have always had great results.
