We have really only used them for yearly wellness exams which have always been fully covered until this year. I had planned on scheduling my daughter's wellness visit with Nguyen Vu for a date prior to moving her into her college apartment at VT however the schedules didn't align, and I ended up scheduling with Erika Thomas instead because Nguyen VU doesn't see patients on that day of the week and it was the only day that would work. I HIGHLY recommend AVOIDING Erika Thomas at all costs. She backdated a diagnosis for my daughter that could ONLY have been made after her wellness lab work came back the day after her appointment. Erika Thomas also ordered tests for my daughter (healthy 19 year old) that are not part of routine screening and are intended for overweight humans or humans who are 45 years with other risk factors. This is causing my insurance to charge some of the labs to my deductible because of the diagnosis. I have contacted the practice Supervisor, Assistant Manager and also spoke with the Practice Manager Alhan Ataiefar today and all she did was gaslight me to say that not all insurance covers all wellness exam items. She also gaslight me by saying that the extra tests ordered are routine, when they are not. Well, she is wrong because I have had the same insurance for the past 6+ years and everything has always been covered up to this point. Not a single person at this practice has even attempted to research this beyond talking with the practitioner to even notice the backdating. I will also add that every time I call in for help I am put on hold for 10 to 15 minutes to speak to someone who then puts me on hold for another 10-15 minutes and half the time I am either disconnected or told that the manager/supervisor is out for the rest of the day or unavailable. This place is poorly managed by Dr. Kavian S. Milani and his staff are rude and unhelpful and most practitioners appear to be consistently ordering extra tests to bring in more revenue (read more reviews for other examples.)

My Doctor Bao Nguyen is the best doctor. I challenge anyone to tell me that their doctor is better…read morethan mine. Dr. Nguyen's listens to your every concern. No matter how far fetched it might be. He takes in concerns from head to toe. He is not one of those doctors who say I can only check one thing at a time. He is friendly, funny and very caring. He checks you out throughly. After finishing he prints out all referrals you need and gives you a summary of everything we went over. This doctor is extraordinary. If you ever visit him you will see what I'm talking about. The staff is awesome also. When ever I call them they answer with 5 minutes. You never have to be caller#20 and you never had to wait 50 minutes or more like other offices. The staff is so friendly and personable. Going to this office is a joy.

I lost 17 pounds not quickly, but fairly easily with his guidance. Most stuff can be handled via email so I don't need to take off work. Highly responsive. Not a pill pusher, but highly respects my ability to make choices for my body even if it isn't the choice he would make. Financially I was able to pair his fee with a slightly higher deductible plan at work. The combination of the two was actually less than what I was paying working for a school system and I get significantly better care.

He is a very caring PCP, but I think where he lacks is experience. In all honesty, if you get a cold, or a cut, he is amazing. But if you get a bout of meningitis or another illness which is chronic in nature - i would stay away until his practice matures. I have total faith, it will. He's definitely not a 1 star doc and he is trying his best to be a 5 star. To me, Dr. Joffee is a 2 star only because I have seen better, thats all. Parking was probably the hardest part at this location, as I'm used to going to Reston or Tysons Corner, where parking is very close to the office. Once I found parking in a lot about a quarter-mile away and walked to the office, I realized I couldn't get in without pushing an intercom button. Again, not something I was used to at the other offices that I've been to. But once I got inside, checked in, and let them know that I was trying to get lab work before my visits, they took care of signing me in for both and getting me set up. The lab tech took me back shortly after, and it was someone I knew from the Reston office. After finishing with the lab tech, the nurse practitioner quickly called me back, took care of the reason I was seeing her, and had me quickly on my way to my next appointment. I can't say enough about One Medical as a practice, and I highly recommend you give them a try if you need primary care or a new doctor.

My absolute favorite doctor Dr. Lim has left the practice so I've been hopping around whoever has been available and have found each person that I have met has been incredibly kind, smart, and sensitive to whatever issues I am facing at the time. The back and forth communication between the app is amazing and has saved me hours of my life .. and the ability to make same day appointments is life changing. They have a children's practice as well, which I am highly considering switching to as I can see it being easy to schedule sick and well visits, get doctors notes, etc. My company used to pay One Medical Group as a benefit but it is so good that I continue to pay out of pocket. I am so glad that Amazon has purchased the company to make this type of quality health care more accessible for all.

So yes, you will need to wait if she gets tied up with another patient. The hours are usual business hours, which is generally fine. But it also means if you come down with something more urgent, there won't be evening or weekend hours. And of course, there's no in house lab, so you'll have to visit Quest or Labcorp if you need blood drawn. The location is convenient - basically at the intersection of 495 and Route 50.
