He checks you out throughly. After finishing he prints out all referrals you need and gives you a summary of everything we went over. This doctor is extraordinary. If you ever visit him you will see what I'm talking about. The staff is awesome also. When ever I call them they answer with 5 minutes. It's not like other doctors where you walk out with a prescription but not really understanding why you have it. Really the only downside is that Dr. Sues is the only doctor in the office. So yes, you will need to wait if she gets tied up with another patient. The hours are usual business hours, which is generally fine. But it also means if you come down with something more urgent, there won't be evening or weekend hours. And of course, there's no in house lab, so you'll have to visit Quest or Labcorp if you need blood drawn. The location is convenient - basically at the intersection of 495 and Route 50.

We have really only used them for yearly wellness exams which have always been fully covered until this year. I had planned on scheduling my daughter's wellness visit with Nguyen Vu for a date prior to moving her into her college apartment at VT however the schedules didn't align, and I ended up scheduling with Erika Thomas instead because Nguyen VU doesn't see patients on that day of the week and it was the only day that would work. I HIGHLY recommend AVOIDING Erika Thomas at all costs. She backdated a diagnosis for my daughter that could ONLY have been made after her wellness lab work came back the day after her appointment. Erika Thomas also ordered tests for my daughter (healthy 19 year old) that are not part of routine screening and are intended for overweight humans or humans who are 45 years with other risk factors. This is causing my insurance to charge some of the labs to my deductible because of the diagnosis. I have contacted the practice Supervisor, Assistant Manager and also spoke with the Practice Manager Alhan Ataiefar today and all she did was gaslight me to say that not all insurance covers all wellness exam items. She also gaslight me by saying that the extra tests ordered are routine, when they are not. Well, she is wrong because I have had the same insurance for the past 6+ years and everything has always been covered up to this point. Not a single person at this practice has even attempted to research this beyond talking with the practitioner to even notice the backdating. I will also add that every time I call in for help I am put on hold for 10 to 15 minutes to speak to someone who then puts me on hold for another 10-15 minutes and half the time I am either disconnected or told that the manager/supervisor is out for the rest of the day or unavailable. This place is poorly managed by Dr. Kavian S. Milani and his staff are rude and unhelpful and most practitioners appear to be consistently ordering extra tests to bring in more revenue (read more reviews for other examples.)

When my sister had a mini stroke that left her unable to read, Crane-Lee said two things that may have killed my sister and could have killed any number of other people as well. First she correctly guessed that my sister had experienced a stroke, and she told my sister that she could drive if she felt like it. The most likely thing after a person has a stroke is a second stroke. The number one rule is to get to the hospital immediately. Secondly, she said that my sister could go to the ER, but she might have to wait all night, that she could line up various appointments instead. That is utterly ridiculous. When a stroke patient is taken to the INOVA Fairfax ER, s/he's going to be in a bed the minute after s/he signs in. There are numerous hospital-wide announcements every time a potential stroke victim is headed for the hospital. I was there for two months last year and I heard those announcements all the time. They take things very seriously in that ER. I was in a bed moments after I signed in. So was a friend with a broken arm. In fact, my sister did have a second stroke, after which she did go to the hospital, but it was apparently too late. I would assign a Minus Ten if I could.

Medications, like an albuteral inhaler and diazapam, meds that can be dangerous if stopped abruptly, are now a cause of anxiety because I never know of they will take a day or a week to write a refill. I will keep seeing Dr Lewis, but now I know that when I'm out of refills I need to make a visit to see him if I want refills in a timely manner. Luckily I have great insurance so this is not a problem for me, except for the time it takes to make an appointment that used to just be a phone call.

But I had a very frustrating experience with one of their doctors, Minh Tran, if remembering his name correctly, and he was a D.O. instead of an M.D., which is an interesting question to consider. I do not believe that I am the only person to have an issue with him although I'm sure any manager would assure me otherwise because they can't come out and be too honest for their own good. He was very dismissive, invalidating, argumentative, and claimed to have difficulty finding me while holding it against me in a small building. It's not a big hospital so such a claim seems implausible. The whole appointment seemed like a big joke to him while I was in pain thanks to a medical condition, which isn't something I take kindly to. Speaking of this, if I'm pissed off enough to write a review, then you know it's bad because I don't generally complain unless I think it's of benefit to others. And I honestly wonder if he's a narcissist after our encounter because of the victim-bully routine that is very familiar to me after decades of dealing with narcissists. I'm not sure how he made it through medical school and how a person with such an advanced degree of education wouldn't have better "Win friends and influence people" skills.
