This is the best hotel stay in Wyoming. We've been here three times for a little couples retreat and every time we come is such a joy! The craftsmanship of the cabins plus the privacy makes you feel like you're in a 5 star hotel and is such a cozy experience! Our favorites are always the fireplace, surround sound system, double shower, soft sheets and soaker tub. The breakfast buffet in the morning is such and delight and everyone is kind and helpful! For a cozy couples retreat, you don't even need the fancy cabin! The king room has a fireplace right across from the bed and a double shower, perfect for a romantic getaway! This time there were a few things I want to mention to the owners that I think would really elevate the customer experience and provide a more enjoyable stay! 1. The hot tub closes at 9PM. It's not even dark by then in the summer! We never got the chance to use it because it closes so early. I would have it open until midnight! 2. There's a microwave in the room, but no plates or cutlery. It would be so helpful if we had some plates and cutlery to heat and eat leftovers! Then a small container of dish soap would be much appreciated as well. 3. The shower had a strong mildew odor this time around, so I would just make sure shower cleaning gets turned up a notch! We can't wait until our next stay and hope these few improvements will help make our great experience even better!

Seeing this online, planning our next stop, I was immediately impressed with the online pictures! We actually went about 50 miles out of our planned drive to stay here. Worth it! True log cabin inside and out! Beautiful! Plus total technology on the system, with the tv, fireplace on/off, surround sound! Awesome soak tub and two head party shower. Staff was great and included breakfast was delicious. We had the omelettes made to our specifications. We got great off season, so our rate was super competitive!

We decided to take a little weekend vacation to afton Wyoming to explore. We reserved a cabin at the Kodiak mountain resort. No complaints. This place had a great presentation and beautiful wood and log work. It was impressive. Our cabin was cute and cozy but very nice clean and new looking. The concierge told us about some amenities including the spa where you could get a hot stone massage or a facial. My favorite part was that they offered an outdoor jacuzzi that was open 24/7. We wanted to go but fell asleep too early. The shower was incredible. Had 2 shower heads on opposing walls. It had a beautiful separate bath tub. Great quiet place for families with small kids and older folks. They had a cute playground off to the side. Breakfast had a fair share of options including waffles, pancakes, pastries, fruit, yogurt and someone making ham cheese and veggie omelets. The omelet was pretty good. Would definitely recommend to drive a little out of the way to stay here.

We were exhausted and finished hiking the Grand Teton and were looking for a local RV park that had very good amenities and Kodiak Mountain Resort did not disappoint. Clean bathrooms, amazing Rv sites with campfires pits, campground store, laundry room, $5 breakfast buffet, and an amazing indoor breakfast eating area and outdoor picnic eating area. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and they are open until 10pm I highly recommend you stay here if you're looking for a very nice place to stay. I will be back!!! BTW- They are less than a year old, you should give this new RV park a try.

Everything about our stay was very comfortable except for the very bright lights shining in both windows of our cabin. It made it very hard to sleep, and sleeping was the primary reason we were staying there! We ended up bringing the curtains from our camper van inside and trying to clip them up over the windows. That helped, but it was still hard to fall asleep. I suggested to management that they dim the lights, so hopefully they will make that change in the future. Very nice bathroom, double sink, bedding, fireplace, very clean. Nice that they have a large mini-fridge in the room. Breakfast looked pretty standard for a Holiday Inn type hotel. We prefer healthy food so we brought our own.

I am not sure how I found this place on my search for a quick place to stay in Afton as a stopover on the way home, but I am lucky I did! The cabins are large, spacious, comfortable, modern, beautiful, and very reasonably priced. The four of us were sad we only had one night here. On property, they have a BBQ food truck, picnic area, playground, and small hot tub. It appears as if they are currently building a large clubhouse as well. If you are looking for a place to stay in Afton, this is it!

Wonderful stay at Kodiak Mountain! Super comfortable and clean cabins that gave us a warm relaxing night's sleep. I'm a picky traveler and Kodiak way exceeded my expectations! We will definitely return!

Easily the best place we stayed in our travels across Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah! The family cabin was beautiful. High quality craftsmanship. Hot breakfast served in the morning at the main lodge. Easy access to fishing, hiking, and horseback riding within a 15 minute drive. Family owned, friendly, and welcoming!

We stayed in the small cabin with 2 queen beds and the cabin is a lot larger than it looks from the outside on the highway. Cabins are brand new and very well made with modern amenities. The manager made us feel more than welcome and was super helpful and enthusiastic. In town for the vaquero loco 50K trail race and this sure beat camping out after 31 miles in the mountains!

When I contacted Marriott about the above-referenced, they told me that Don McGee (from Fairfield, Afton) claimed he called and spoke with me and advised all the problems were Marriott corporate related. The management clearly cares, we were stuffed and happy, and the prices were still fair! Very well-prepared cocktail according to my husband, too. We felt special, ate special, and will be back tomorrow. We're also staying at the hotel and could not be happier. Thanks all!

We loved learning that the in-door pool opened at 7am. Plenty early enough for us to still get on the road early for a leisurely drive through the Grand Teton in the morning. Our room was nice. Since we are elderly and our room was on the second floor (no elevator) , it was very convenient to have a room close to the stairs. We were amazed that there were no USB ports at all in our room. Who doesn't provide USB ports? The front desk staff were very helpful in providing information on nearby businesses where we could buy USB charging ports for our iPhone charging cables and our portable batteries. We enjoyed all the other amenities in our room. We loved the facilities themselves. The restaurant was outstanding! We were greeted enthusiastically as soon as we crossed the threshold. Our server, Jamie, was superb in every way--her demeanor, her knowledge of the food items, her interest in the fact that this is our "Birthday Road Trip" and her quality service. We are so glad Jamie raved about the Huckleberry lemonade and encouraged us to try it. That lemonade was delicious! The food was outstanding ! The portions were so large, as much as we hated to, we couldn't finish those huge steaks or all of the corn appetizer. The garlic mashed potatoes and garlic beans were delicious. What was especially beautiful about the beans is that they were cooked just right. Jamie served us bread with what she explained is their signature whipped mascarpone cream with honey . It was so very good. We loved being in the restaurant and lingered after our dinner. We loved the ambiance, the service (Jamie helped us celebrate our birthdays), the music playing in the background, the room temperature and the fire burning in the fireplace. It was a wonderful dining experience and we hated to have it end. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning.

We visited expecting a simple soak, but it turned into one of the most relaxing and memorable stops on our trip. The setting alone is incredible--nestled along the Bear River with canyon views that make you feel completely removed from everything. The mineral pools are natural and range in temperature, so you can move around and find your perfect spot. The water is rich in minerals and feels amazing, especially after a long day of exploring. What really stood out was how intentional the whole experience is. They limit the number of guests and require reservations, so it never feels crowded or chaotic--just calm, quiet, and honestly kind of magical. We also loved that you can turn it into more than just a quick visit. Between the camping, yurts, and cabins, it's easy to stay overnight and fully unplug in nature. Overall, Maple Grove feels like a hidden wellness retreat rather than just a hot spring. Afton doesn't have any large-scale hotel chains and nicer accommodations may be hard to find here. Our unit was a 2 bedroom unit that fit our family comfortably. Nice appliances and furniture were in the unit and everything was up to date. Flat screen televisions, Dish Network, tons of lighting, and a beautiful fireplace in the condo that had a cabin-type feel to it. Pricing was very reasonable and only slightly more than you would pay for a hotel room without multiple bedrooms or kitchens / living areas. These make it nice to hit the grocery store and prepare meals instead of eating out. The extra room also lends well to small children. The only opportunities we had with our unit was the heating. Apparently it is all radiant heating in the floor working in combination with the fireplace. That would have been nice to know going in and took some smarts to figure out. When you call and reserve your unit, ask about what amenities it has. Mountain Inn shares a common pool, hot tub, and laundry area but the individual units have different things. Some have dishwashers, some do not. Some have their own laundry, some do not. We are definitely keeping this place in the address book. Close to Jackson, close to fantastic ATV riding, fishing, outdoor activities, and, of course, the World's Largest Antler Arch. You can't go wrong staying here.

Did they not keep up so that it would stay nice all year like it used to? It did have a pool and then they had the hot Springs Divided by how hot they were and yes, it had a sulfur smell because they're hot spring real hot springs! I remember some being so hot they were too hot as a kiddo. Why is that unavailable in the winner now? I learned how to swim in that pool well partially and my Bear Lake. This was before it became the tourist trap. It's changed. I mean from when I was a girl to to now what a different world. I can't believe they're allowing some of it! Bear Lake was known for its beautiful blue pristine crystal clear water's the Caribbean of the Rocky Mountains, now it's green! When I was young, you couldn't drive down onto the beach, you couldn't because the water was too deep. Hence why the old pavilions are up so high. I could see from my neck down to my feet. It was so clear and clean. It does dip to an angle and that dip goes yearly, towards the east side. It is always deeper on the east shore. 2023 there were some bugs that I was annoyed by and had never seen before! They didn't clear when I got the sea-doo further out on the water. I thought they would, but too many flying black tiny flies and algae blooms! Never seen before! They said it would clear up. The Airbnb folk with their septic systems are supposed to legally have them done, but some of them were dumping them in the lake. Gross! Illegal as well! Growths is good but destroying it is not ok! I remember everything being so pristine and so clean and so beautiful! Including this hot Springs building that I haven't been into for a long time. The lake has a natural ecosystem that works great before people started messing with it. The hot springs were awesome. We went there in the winter, not the summer for the Hot Springs. Who wants to go in Hot Springs when it's hot? I know Bear Lake back then in the summer wasn't as hot as it is now because of climate change, but still they're nicer in the winter. The one that they're showing outside makes no sense doesn't even look hot. I remember the smell of sulfur, true Hot Springs smell like sulfur when they're enclosed or sometimes when they're even open. The building has no hours and is only showing summer stuff.
