This place is amazing, I'm so glad I found it! I was looking for some cheaper options to stay around Jackson, when I found this place. There's plenty of cabins (some king, 2 queens, or family sized cabins) with a jacuzzi tub, microwave, mini fridge, hot tub nearby, spa, RV parking, fireplace, and made to order breakfast. Breakfast consisted of omelettes or egg patties, pancakes, waffles, fruit, yogurt, various pastries, bacon, and potatoes. It's a beautiful setting and the cabins are spacious. The beds are super comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. And that double headed shower, ohhh. Staff was friendly as well. On my way to Wisconsin to catch a Packers game with my son-in-law, I decided to take a detour and go to Yellowstone National Park. I was driving on highway 89, and I came to a small town named Afton, Wyoming. Population about 2000. Since it was getting on to the latter part of the day, and rather than pushing on to Jackson and dropping a couple clams + for an overpriced room, I thought that I'd see what Afton has to offer. Good choice on my part. I found the Kodiak Mountain Resort located on the south end of town. It's a group of very well kept log cabins. In fact, they looked new. Absolutely pristine, on the outside, and absolutely spotless on the inside. Extremely well appointed with all the modern bells and whistles. I couldn't figure out half the stuff, so instead of trying to push the right buttons to get Roku or the other strange sounding channels working, I decided to sit by the fireplace and write Yelp reviews. I know how to hunt and peck. I'll leave the tech stuff to you younger folks. Anyway, as you can see by the pics, the place is uber cool (I can speak your lingo, or is uber not cool anymore. It never was to me). You'll love this place. They're going to feed me in the morning. I bet the food will be rad. Quick Tip: They give you 4 of those little cup things of coffee, and 2 cup things for hot chocolate. I'll take the coffee things home to Kotah, but the hot chocolate is for me. This is the best hotel stay in Wyoming. We've been here three times for a little couples retreat and every time we come is such a joy! The craftsmanship of the cabins plus the privacy makes you feel like you're in a 5 star hotel and is such a cozy experience! Our favorites are always the fireplace, surround sound system, double shower, soft sheets and soaker tub. The breakfast buffet in the morning is such and delight and everyone is kind and helpful! For a cozy couples retreat, you don't even need the fancy cabin! The king room has a fireplace right across from the bed and a double shower, perfect for a romantic getaway! This time there were a few things I want to mention to the owners that I think would really elevate the customer experience and provide a more enjoyable stay! 1. The hot tub closes at 9PM. It's not even dark by then in the summer! We never got the chance to use it because it closes so early. I would have it open until midnight! 2. There's a microwave in the room, but no plates or cutlery. It would be so helpful if we had some plates and cutlery to heat and eat leftovers! Then a small container of dish soap would be much appreciated as well. 3. The shower had a strong mildew odor this time around, so I would just make sure shower cleaning gets turned up a notch! We can't wait until our next stay and hope these few improvements will help make our great experience even better! read more

Seeing this online, planning our next stop, I was immediately impressed with the online pictures! We actually went about 50 miles out of our planned drive to stay here. Worth it! True log cabin inside and out! Beautiful! Plus total technology on the system, with the tv, fireplace on/off, surround sound! Awesome soak tub and two head party shower. We decided to take a little weekend vacation to afton Wyoming to explore. We reserved a cabin at the Kodiak mountain resort. No complaints. This place had a great presentation and beautiful wood and log work. It was impressive. Our cabin was cute and cozy but very nice clean and new looking. The concierge told us about some amenities including the spa where you could get a hot stone massage or a facial. My favorite part was that they offered an outdoor jacuzzi that was open 24/7. We wanted to go but fell asleep too early.The shower was incredible. Had 2 shower heads on opposing walls. It had a beautiful separate bath tub. Great quiet place for families with small kids and older folks. They had a cute playground off to the side. Breakfast had a fair share of options including waffles, pancakes, pastries, fruit, yogurt and someone making ham cheese and veggie omelets. The omelet was pretty good. Would definitely recommend to drive a little out of the way to stay here. read more

We were exhausted and finished hiking the Grand Teton and were looking for a local RV park that had very good amenities and Kodiak Mountain Resort did not disappoint. Clean bathrooms, amazing Rv sites with campfires pits, campground store, laundry room, $5 breakfast buffet, and an amazing indoor breakfast eating area and outdoor picnic eating area. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and they are open until 10pm I highly recommend you stay here if you're looking for a very nice place to stay. I will be back!!! BTW- They are less than a year old, you should give this new RV park a try. read more

Everything about our stay was very comfortable except for the very bright lights shining in both windows of our cabin. It made it very hard to sleep, and sleeping was the primary reason we were staying there! We ended up bringing the curtains from our camper van inside and trying to clip them up over the windows. That helped, but it was still hard to fall asleep. I suggested to management that they dim the lights, so hopefully they will make that change in the future. Very nice bathroom, double sink, bedding, fireplace, very clean. Nice that they have a large mini-fridge in the room. Breakfast looked pretty standard for a Holiday Inn type hotel. I am not sure how I found this place on my search for a quick place to stay in Afton as a stopover on the way home, but I am lucky I did! The cabins are large, spacious, comfortable, modern, beautiful, and very reasonably priced. The four of us were sad we only had one night here. On property, they have a BBQ food truck, picnic area, playground, and small hot tub. It appears as if they are currently building a large clubhouse as well. With a stoke of luck, we were able to book this cabin south of the Grand Tetons when everything was booked in Jackson, WY. It was so worth the extra drive. The prices were great for the area and our cabin was spacious, well built and well furnished. We took advantage of the hot tub and the kids enjoyed the playground. We loved the large beds and showers with two shower heads. Our 2 bedroom cabin had a beautiful balcony. Breakfast was included and was phenomenal. Made to order omelets was a nice perk. We loved the stay so much we tried to book a second night at the last minute and wasn't surprised that they were all booked. Would highly recommend. read more

First off, let me say that I have lived full-time in my RV traveling throughout the USA for the last 5 years. I have stayed in approximately 100 RV Campgrounds from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from Mexico to Canada. With that history in mind, let me state that this is the best RV Resort that I have ever had the pleasure to stay. No exaggeration, no hyperbole. In fact, I already have my reservation for next year and I will be back for 6 months beginning May of 2023. Aside from their delicious breakfast buffet, soothing hot tub, and the rest of the all-encompassing amenities, the main reason that I am coming back for another extended period is because this is a family owned, family run resort. Both the family and all the employees are kind, generous and compassionate. The resort is owned by the Call family, and managed by Jordan Call and his wonderful wife, Rachelle. And if you are lucky, one of Rachelle and Jordan's two adorable children will be somewhere around the resort bringing smiles to all the guests! I feel very fortunate to have finally found a "home" where I am welcomed like a part of the family. The kids are always happy to see me, and I make it a point to stop and see them every time they are on site. I really appreciate that the owners allow ATV's and UTV's and snowmobiles to be driven to and from the exits for trail riding, but they are very good about not encouraging people to just joyride around in the park or be reckless, loud, etc. This is certainly NOT the place to come if you want to party and drink and get wild. Probably need to get to Jackson for that! LOL! Each RV site is a full hookup, with a picnic table and fire ring. The water pressure is excellent, and the Wi-Fi is generally very good. All the sites have a sizable yard with very nice green grass that is watered automatically. Each site also has two Aspen trees that are growing into very nice shade trees. I have found that Row A has the best Wi-Fi signal followed by Row B. Row C is furthest from the Wi-Fi and the resort amenities. There is a small bit of construction going on to accommodate further additions to the resort. As I understand, a large swimming pool is going to be built to compliment the hot tub that is already in use. Yet another exciting project they have started is a building that will accommodate a fully equipped gym, a gun shop and an archery shop with a 3-D archery range. I was also quite surprised and very impressed with the 4th of July celebration that the Call Family, owners of the Kodiak Mountain Resort, provided for the guests at the resort. Not only was the fireworks display for the resort guests, but the entire community of Afton, WY was invited to come out to the resort at no cost. The fireworks were a very big event! It was all computerized and would certainly rival any large city 4th of July celebration! Another very valuable benefit of staying at Kodiak is the treasure trove of local knowledge that the resort staff has. Most all the folks there are born and raised in the area. They have given me some very good tips on hiking and ATV trails to get into the backcountry and experience the beauty and solitude of the Rocky Mountains. It's nice to be able to get some inside information from the locals! The town of Afton is also a great place to visit in and of itself. The town has a beautiful Main Street with all kinds of shops and restaurants. I attended the Lincoln County Fair which was a lot of fun with great food! And if you feel up for a bicycle ride, it's very easy to ride into town for a bite to eat. I also loved the 2 massages at the resort's amazing spa. Both therapists provided excellent professional relaxation and relief of stress points. There was only one hesitation I had to overcome in writing this review; I don't want the Kodiak Mountain Resort to get too popular and me not being able to get a spot. However, since I have my reservations booked for next year, I think I am safe! read more

This place was GORGEOUS! We will 100% stay here again if we are ever in the area. The separate cabins made it feel more like a camping experience. The scenery is amazing and the local shops are cute. We got there after 10pm, which is after their check in times so they were able to make it so we could still get in without help from the staff. You just call them and let them know you'll be there after the time. The bathtub was an amazing touch and the shower was luxurious. We stayed in the small cabin with 2 queen beds and the cabin is a lot larger than it looks from the outside on the highway. Cabins are brand new and very well made with modern amenities. The manager made us feel more than welcome and was super helpful and enthusiastic. This is a new location with luxury log cabins. High tech with Internet and high end television with Klipsch sound systems. Rooms ranging from one king to two queens and a family cabin with two rooms with full kitchen and sitting room with fireplace. Honeymoon cabin is not completed yet. They are adding a lodge and restaurant in the next year. One hot tub now but I believe a pool is in the future plans from what we heard. The location is not expected as it is just outside Afton, Wyoming. It is perfect however for those headed to Jackson or Yellowstone National Park as it is in the highway and not as expensive as those closer lodging establishments. You will never believe how nice these cabins are without getting a look inside, you won't be disappointed. Beautiful flooring with amazing tile work in the bathrooms. Family cabin has a soaker tub, king bed, amazing shower, large screen tv, and deck from the upstairs room/suite. The family cabin sleeps six. The Kodiak Mountain Resort is well worth a stay. I can imagine it will quickly become a favorite for many headed past the beautiful valley in Afton, Wyoming. Almost new individual log cabins. Quite a unique place. Looks like they spent a lot of money building each cabin. Comfortable beds, nice sheets, blankets, towels, fireplace, free wifi, free parking, coffee maker, microwave, very large bathtub in the main room, couch, chair. Complicated ultra modern controls for ligting, heating and tv. No standard tv but rather to see any tv station (very limited selection and a pain to switch from station to station) you need to go through Roku. No luggage racks. Ultra modern however to charge phones and tablets no electric plug right by dressers. Although we liked the beds and the spaciousness of the cabin we found them to be dark and the complex controls plus no regular tv to be a real negative and we won't be returning. These cabins aren't for everyone however they are probably "romantic" and certainly some people might love them. read more

This is a really nice and cozy place to stay, we are on our way to Yellowstone and decided to stop here and rest for the night. The owner was really friendly and showed us a cabin with one king bed. Everything looked really awesome as it is brand new and the technology included in the room was really cool! You can control everything with the remote including tv, Bluetooth audio (their build in subwoofers are sick) lights. The bathroom shower is what I enjoyed the most, with 2 shower heads and a place to sit (my bf and I were able to shower together without feeling crowded :D) Price wise I felt that I got my money worth from this place. If I ever visit here again I will definitely be coming back here! read more

This place is beautiful, you get your own cozy log cabin. It is gorgeous inside very spacious! There is a fireplace, huge smart TV, amazing sound system, the bed is comfortable, the shower is huge (dual shower head) and a bathtub perfect size for a couple to fit in. The lights, heater and TV work off the same remote. They put a book inside that tells you how to work everything, a list of the nearest restaurants it is a great place to stay. read more

Pulled this of the internet for a one night stop over in the RV park. Looked good on line. Reserved an RV spot and then read the small print about the lodge. "no dogs" was noted so I called them direct to cancel the reservation as we travel with two dogs. The employee was very polite and noted the dogs are, in fact, allowed in the RV section. On arrival we checked in and were directed to our reserved spot. The camping section is very obviously new and still under construction . After setting up, we went to find the showers and rest rooms. We could not find them. They have not been completed. There was no mention of this fact when reserving the spot, nor at check in. When we asked at the front desk, we were told they were not done yet. They did offer a discount once we complained at not having been told this earlier. One of the rules for pets is to keep the dog on leash. We did, but apparently the work crews did not have the same rules as their dogs wondered about freely doing what dogs do. We were forced to keep our dogs in to avoid any confrontation with the loose dogs. read more
