Kodiak claims to be dustless, and indeed they are. Less dusty of a process than I thought. All the workers were prompt and ready to work when promised. My floors look amazing. Pics attached. However, there was some harsh damage to a few of the baseboards. I understood there would be a couple nicks and scrapes, but I wasn't expecting gouges. A few baseboards look horrible. After the floor was complete, the installers cleaned up their mess and left better than the way they found it. Only negative was the baseboards. read more

We tried to be good DIYers and remove some tile ourselves. Rented all the equipment we thought we needed and gave it a shot. It was so much more work and harder than we could have anticipated, and it made a huge mess. Anyway, got a little done then decided to hire Kodiak to finish the job. Dallin came out immediately and gave us a fair estimate (even gave us credit towards the work we had already done). They gave us an appointment a few days later, showed up on time, and got the job done. When I say they did an outstanding job, that is an understatement. They got all of the tile, thin-set, and old baseboards removed in a few hours. The ground is so smooth now we can walk around barefoot. And the best part is the dustless removal. Hired Kodiak recommended by a friend. Not the least expensive by far. Paid extra to have the floor leveled. Obviously it did not happen. I blue taped the floor over 30 times for the grout to be fixed, it did not happen. My husband gave a horrible yelp review, Colin called and texted for us to take down, which we did. Now my husband comes home everyday and sees this and gets irritated of the poor workmanship we paid alot of money for. We will not be taking this down! read more

We had Kodiak remodel our master bathroom shower and tub. They did an amazing job! The previous tub cracked because the builder did not set it correctly. Kodiak came in and fixed the issue and upgraded the tub. They also tiled the walls and it looks great. Colyn has done several jobs for us, 2 bathrooms and our kitchen countertops/backsplash. The 1st BR (Master) was a few years ago, did a fantastic job. Next was our 2nd BR, great job there as well (except for the mess, they did not put up the "plastic drop sheet" separating the work space so my living room & kitchen got VERY dusty). The last job done May/June 2022 was our kitchen. Overall he does good work. There were a few issues on the kitchen job. The tile guy was horrible. He was unsupervised, wasted a lot of time while he was supposed to be working (on his phone) and on the 2nd day (when the backsplash had been scheduled to be completed, Colyn checked up on him and realized what a waste this guy was. They had words and the worker ended up walking out on the job. The replacement tile/backsplash guy sent the next day was great and completed the job. The countertop guy was also great. My biggest issue with Colyn on this last job (kitchen) was his lack of communication, When we contracted with him and gave our deposit, he gave us a start date. We text him the day before this start date to confirm, as we had not heard from him for a couple of weeks, at which time he advised us that he had to change our start date by about a week (I guess it didn't seem very important for him to let us know of this change beforehand). Unfortunately, we had already cleared up our kitchen cabinets anticipating the start date he had originally given leaving us with a packed up kitchen that we had no choice but to deal with for a week before they actually started working!!! His company has grown since our first job with him (~~2017) and we believe he is much busier. I think he would do a lot better if he had someone to help him with scheduling/communication. His prices are ok; he'll lower the quote if you pay him cash though). I wish Colyn much luck in the future with his company. read more

I was in a real bind, my tiles cracked and I had to get to the slab underneath before anyone could tell me what was wrong. The Kodiak Team were fabulous from the start. They gave a quote over the phone when I provided the measurements from the big box store. The price was the price - it didn't change nor did I get the 'here's the price but if you want us to haul away the debris that's X and if you want the tack strips removed it's Y and other dizzying nonsence in the midst of a bad situation. The team offered some common sense suggestions as they could tell I was in a frenzy. Nothing to run up the bill just some neighborly thoughts since they are experts in their field. On demo day they were prompt, pleasant and beyond courteous. The team set to work in an organized fashion taking care to do the job right. They were doing dustless removal. Some relatives in the trades scoffed and said 'that stuff gets EVERYWHERE, there's no such thing as dustless!' My very dark wood furniture and black granite were as spotless when they finished as they were when the team arrived. I was gobsmacked and moreso were the relatives that arrived at day's end. The team did a beautiful job. A friend who is retired from construction stopped by and stared for a full 2 mins then said - "When they say they leave the slab clean - they mean it - looks like new". In summary, professional businessmen, straight up quoting, no hidden fees or upselling after they are in your home, excellent teams, results that far exceed expectations. When I worked out the cost to clean including air ducts and the potential for me to be sick from conventional tile removal - it was a wash and dustless eliminated the potential health complications from breathing that dust for months to come. Colyn, the owner, took care and remembered everything small i had mentioned. Workers showed up and worked very hard every day. Everything moved much quicker than i thought it would and they helped move around everything and i was still able to live here while they ripped out every floor in my condo and installed tile.
