Wow. I went in to buy some jeans. It was 11 AM on a Tuesday. The jeans were a mess. Multiple pairs on the floor, jumbled up, the sizes not where they were supposed to be. The store had been open for two hours, but it looked like a tornado had hit it. I understand they are short-staffed, they were having a sale, whatever. Still, it made it difficult to find what I was looking for. Then I went into the dressing room to try on the clothes. Every single dressing room had several articles of clothing inside. As if no staff person is available to clean up the dressing rooms. I had to move clothes out of my way just so I could try clothes on. Even worse, there was a dead cockroach on the floor in the dressing room, and huge dust tumbleweeds rolling around on the floor. It was as if the dressing rooms had not been cleaned in WEEKS. I asked to speak to the manager when I was checking out. Jessica basically told me that they have a cleaning staff that is separate from the store (contractors). (Guess it's their fault the store is filthy? I don't think so.) She told me they are short-staffed. She gave me a half-hearted apology. The workers here are always so nice and helpful! I'm in all the time to return amazon products and to shop, and I've never had a bad experience. I've been to a few Kohl's and this one is def the nicest looking, I've noticed many are often all over the place but here looks great! This store is so far from ADA compliant that I was honestly baffled. I am a wheelchair user and even with my narrow manual chair (16 inches) I wasn't able to go into most departments because of the ways the displays were set up and how cluttered the floor was. I plan on calling and filing a formal complaint with this location and with the DOJ if I don't get a call back. I know this isn't the first time this store has heard this feedback and it's unacceptable. read more

I'd rate it zero if possible. I placed an online order for 8 items. None of the items were listed as low stock. A full 6 days after I placed the order I got a notification that 2 out of the 8 were sold out!!! Customer service offered to let me shop for other items.... I wanted the items I ordered for Christmas gifts. I am taking my business to Macy's or Penny's. Perhaps they actually value their customers and can pull ordered items FASTER than 6 days! read more

I love Kohl's and do a lot of my shopping on their clearance racks. They have good quality merchandise at decent prices (as long as you don't make the mistake of paying full price for anything - it will ALWAYS go on sale). The return policy for Kohl's is the best in the business - they will take anything back, at any time, for any reason, without a receipt. I will echo the previous reviewer who expressed her exasperation with a particular clerk (Jan). Yes, Jan still works there, and, yes, I am sure the reviewer's experience with her was accurate (I've overseen many of her interactions with customers, and always make sure I avoid her checkout lane). HOWEVER, please don't judge the rest of the staff based upon that one person. read more

I mainly wanted to leave a review due to my repeated interactions with one of the cashiers. She is an older lady and must be one of the main cashiers because she is always there and rings me up although I'd literally rather have anyone else!! I don't know her name though. Anyway, she is very pushy, aggressive, and rude about the Kohl's credit card or whatever it is. Very unprofessional. Also patronizing, telling me "this is how you get a credit score you know." I'm not sure how she is still there and acting like this because I'm sure I'm not the first or last to complain about her. read more

HUMILIATING. I use a cane to walk. In a perfect world every department store would provide mobility carts and wide lanes, and my t-rex arms could reach every impulse buy my credit card can handle. And now I know what the worst case scenario looks like. KOHL'S aka My New Nemesis. I came to return some shoes (a gift) and buy a little speaker or headphones or maybe both, for my Kindle. In the 20 minutes I was inside, I was forced to leave before I could cause the scene I truly desired. 1. The new bag lady carts are umbalanced plastic frames a full foot too short, to hold up a black mesh trash bag. Anything you try to buy will be one layer of canvas from the dirty ground and plastic wheels. 2. The "electronic department" from the website was actually a table between vacuums and jeans where no sales label matched any available product. No sales person for three departments on either side. 3. Between the squat collapsible cart and having to use a cane, I ended up twisting my knee, and had to sit, hidden, in footwear while my husband searched the whole store. 4. I gave up. But that didn't mean I walked out! No, I limpef to the front of the store and nearly had to have him paged--no line of sight from anywhere in the place. I 5. He found me. My knees couldn't take it anymore, I had to sit down. Thank you for providing benches Kohl's! Plastic ones. Outside the store. It's 27° outside. Awesome. I literally do not buy shoes anywhere else but here. They have the selection I need, at a price that's fair. And associates are always willing to help. And if you bought something off of Amazon, and need to return it for some reason, you can do it at their customer service desk. This store is a great asset to Bloomington. read more

I went to the store to help my boyfriend find dress clothes for an interview and it was very hard to find things. The store is a mess with almost nothing in the right place. There were women's shorts in-between men's dress pants. We had to search for a while to find anything that is his size. read more

Kohl's carries a decent selection of maternity basics in store if in limited sizes. Most are very casual, but I had good luck buying some work clothes online. What's nice is that you can order multiple sizes and styles online and easily return anything you don't want in store. read more
