I have never been treated so disrespectfully at a retail store. My husband, myself and my son stopped in to do some back to school shopping, but I also had an Amazon return. The store recently remodeled, so now all purchases, returns & Amazon returns are at the same area. I have done Amazon returns recently, and learned that they are completed at register 1 only, and the other associates handle kohls purchases & returns. There was one person in line, and I asked them if they were doing an Amazon return, and they said no. I then asked them if I could go ahead as they are only done at register one, which they agreed. and approached register one. I asked the associate named Kevin is this where you do Amazon returns, he said yes. But you need to get back in line and wait your turn. And told me to go back to the line, to which I did and more people joined the line. I then waited my turn, another 5-7 minutes, and Kevin did not assist any customers during that time. I was called to register 8, and told them I was doing an Amazon return, and they told me I needed to go to register 1, where Kevin told me he cold now assist me. I asked him why he couldn't assist me previously, when he never assisted any other customers while I waited in line. He said he was not going to help a non paying customer before a paying customer. That was extremely disrespectful and I let him know I spent plenty earlier in the day and was back to spend more. He scanned one of my barcodes, and told me I was done and was annoyed when I told him there was 2 separate items. I asked him to get me a manager as I was not happy with how I was being treated. He told me he was the manager, and the only one working, even though his name badge did not say manager. I told him I wanted the number to customer service and told me I could look it up online. I told him to write it down for me. He refused and stormed away from the desk. I never received my Amazon return confirmation and do not even know if it was completed. I'm so frustrated. We went to Kohls expecting to do some jewelry and handbag shopping. To our surprise there was hardly any jewelry or handbags. What happened?! Very disappointed. We then looked in the women's plus section. Again, hardly anything and what was there was really ugly. Why can't you carry fashionable clothes for all sizes? We've noticed that the clothing quality has been less than satisfactory. It will be a long time before we shop Kohls again. read more

I spent $371.25 on 2/27/21 online, so I earned $55. in Kohl's cash which I used on 3/5/21 along with a 25% offer on Kohl's site to purchase three pajama bottoms at the Jackson Mi store. When I got home I tried them on, but they were too big, so I returned to the store to swap them for a smaller size. They only had two pairs in my size, so I grabbed a pair of jeans that were on clearance, that would ~ equal the same price. The Customer Service person said I could evenly swap one, but I'd have to get a refund and wait in line again to purchase the other items and I wouldn't get 25% off because that expired, even though I returned them the same day. After swapping the one pair she gave me $29. back to purchase the other two items, but that wasn't enough, I could only purchase one with the difference she was giving me. After a lengthy argument I requested the manager, but still unsatisfied I asked for a refund instead and told her I'd never shop there again! read more

Can you say disaster. Went to find dress slacks, the whole men's department is trashed. I turned right around and left. Waste of time.

I used to love Kohl's, but I recently heard through the grapevine that corporate is cutting every employee's PTO nationwide regardless of tenure. So to hell with that company. I could understand if they were struggling fiscally, but judging from the stock market trends over the last 5 years everything is either steady or improving. The people they are hurting are their own. It's not right. I don't plan on shopping here again. read more

Poor customer service policy at Jackson, MI store I was returning a shirt that my husband received for Christmas (return value $8). They did not have another of the same shirt in his size so I selected another shirt that was a name brand and much more expensive ($25). Waiting in the "customer service" line, I had everything ready to go....my return with a receipt in one hand and my new (more expensive) shirt and Kohls MVC card in the other hand. I really felt I was helping the "customer service" specialist and the people in line behind me - just by being prepared. I explained I wanted to make the return and exchange it for the new shirt, handing over my MVC card to make up for the known difference. I was told I could only return the shirt and would have to receive an in store credit then go to a check out line in the front of the store to wait again and make my purchase. Asking why, I was told because it was not an even exchange and that there was a line behind me. I explained they did not have the same shirt in the size I needed, which is why I did not have the even exchange. Since I had everything ready and it was taking the specialist longer to explain this to me and create the in-store credit card than It would have to scan the UPC code and swipe my MVC card. I have to say I was most disappointed when turning around and seeing an elderly gentleman at the end of the line. He had a return in one hand of shoes/slippers and long underwear packages to purchase in the other. I didn't wait around to see if he was treated the same way as it was very likely that he did not have an even exchange. I sure hope the "customer service" specialist made an exception to this poor policy for him. Shame on you Kohls. read more

I don't know why anyone would give this store anything but a 5 star rating. The store is always clean and well organized (unlike the AnnArbor store). I have been greeted by the manager numerous times and the check out clerks always work with me to get the best use of coupons. Returning items is also simple, with no hassle. read more
