I recently applied for a Kohl's card. I was approved. Went back in today to use up my Kohl's cash. I was in line and the associate in charge of queue told an associate who going to get in line, that she can go ahead of the queue because she's an employee. I stood there thinking, I never heard of such a thing. Especially when the queue was getting longer. The other cashier was busy and waiting for her customer to do her own price check. Another cashier came over to help. Debi, who's the cashier that convinced me to sign up. She's always nice. I did call the store to speak to the MOD. Placed on hold for five minutes that the phone was picked again by an associate named Rosie. She couldn't understand why no one picked up. I stayed on the line for a bit. Then hung up. I tried to do the survey but the website wasn't downloading. Just wanted to give Debi a good review. I ended virtual chatting with customer support. It was confirmed it's not Kohl's policy for an associate to go ahead of the queue. And I can say this associate was very comfortable saying it was policy. I will continue to go Kohl's. Hopefully it won't happen again. read more

The store is very clean and the staff very friendly. They bend over to help you. Just dealt w Debbie K and she spent lots of time making me happy This is the way shopping used to be. I also was happy with the quality of the clothing. There are lots of selections and sizes and a great deal of different brands to chose from. I definitely will be back!! read more

I was visiting the area and I had a Kohl's coupon I wanted to use so I stopped in here to give the store a spin. They had a lot of really cool clothing and accessories for ladies. I also shopped their beauty department and saw a few nice things in there as well. The shelves in the store were kept really neat and the layout of the store was pretty good. It was very easy to find the items that I was looking for. I ran into some employees in the various departments that I shopped and they all seemed very nice and told me to let them know if I needed any assistance in finding anything. There were lot of items on sale at the time and since I had a coupon to use on top of the sale prices I ended up with some pretty good deals. There was a little bit of a line at the cash register area but they opened an additional register and I didn't end up waiting very long at all. I mainly bought sleepwear this time and I really like what I bought. I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm out this way. read more

This location is not customer friendly at all! Have an order to pick up at this store and can't pick up in time due to weather but they refused to extend!!! Very upset!! Will do business with Newington store for now on! I literally just called another retail store for the same pick up extension due to weather issue, they were so accommodating and willing to extend for another week with no problem at all! I personally love this store, I can never go here and NOT buy something. I agree, some of the t-shirt display shelves are messy, but that's to be expected when you have disrespectful people who can't refold and place things back the way they found them! The only time I've encountered an "unfriendly" employee is in the shoe section, asking if there's a size outback is like the end of the world to them! On two separate occasions I've asked about a shoe size possibly being out back and without hesitation both times I've been told "Use the kiosk, order them online." Wow. The lines are usually long, but generally move pretty quickly. Black Friday at this store is HELL, don't do it!! read more

I have been shopping at the Rochester NH Koh's since their opening. I am very pleased with the items they sell and the coupons they give out. I'm in this store at least 2-3 times a month and always get the best deals on clothing, housewares, etc. The people that work there are very attentive and pleasant. The cashiers are graceful and always have smiles on their faces no matter how busy they are. I will continue to shop at Kohl's and want to let others know they will get their money's worth shopping there. Also, the store is always clean and the restrooms are also very clean. Definitely not impressed with the Rochester Kohl's store.... If you're looking for a good variety of quality clothing at good prices the best place in the Rochester area is JC Penney at the Lilac Mall. While it may be small, and I haven't been there in a while, it used to be a place I stopped often up here, and I always found exactly what I needed. Kohl's at Rochester Crossing has a very limited selection of everything from men's clothing, summer sandals, and even small household appliances. I thought it would be a perfect place to get a few sweatshirts, since it was getting sort of chilly on the lake. They had nothing that was a good deal, and had very little in my size anyway. I also stopped in thinking that not only would I be able to find a sweatshirt but could also get a toaster and microwave, even though I'm not at my summer place often, they would be useful to have and I've been meaning to getting around to getting some things like that. They had a very small selection and didn't have anything on sale. In addition, when I was leaving the store (as in the pictures I posted) you can see there is a line of at least seven people. With only a few registers open this place is really a joke. What's up with this Kohl's? Definitely not even close to the level of the stores I regularly shop in Massachusetts. Much, much, much smaller than the other stores too! Definitely a steep downgrade for the Rochester location. Found the small appliances and sweatshirts I was looking for at Kmart at the Lilac Mall. I wouldn't suggest this place unless a major overhaul was done. Definitely a disappointment. 1 star for the Rochester Kohl's. read more

The level of chaos in this store is mind boggling. The store is cluttered. There's stuff always on the floor, clearance items thrown in with regular priced items, entire areas in the store that need full recovery. You have lines at the registers cause they ram the credit card down your throat and demand you open one instead of getting the line under control while management just stands around watching. On top of it all too if you're going to be rude which 9/10 times the cashier is at this location, I'm not going to sign up for your credit card. I used to like Kohl's but it's not enjoyable trying to get through a cluttered maze or stuff spread throughout 5 different areas while still falling in the same category, and when you find something being stared down when you say you're all set on opening up the credit card. Another retailer who hasn't learned lessons from other failing department stores. read more

Lots of cheap clothes, most of which are sadly made in China or countries you've never heard of. Displays are often untidy and in no particular order. What drives me nuts is when I find something I like, see that the hanger is marked as the right size for me, but the item itself is a totally different size. How difficult is it to pair hangers with the matching item sizes? I guess some people working at this store have difficulty with a very simple task. Also, everything is always "on sale". Always. Nothing is ever not "on sale". Something like a shirt will be displayed with an "original price" of something no sane person would pay, but it's marked down to something more reasonably priced because it's "on sale". Seems like such a cheap gimmick to make it look like you're getting a deal when you're not, I wonder if anyone ever falls for it. The worst part of this store is the checkout process. Waiting in line takes way longer than it should. They either need to hire more cashiers or cut the chatter so no one has to wait so long. I blame it on the relentless credit card offers. It goes something like this: "Are you paying for with your Kohls Card today?" No thanks, I've got cash. "Do have one?" No, thanks. "Would you like one?" No thanks. "If you sign up today you can save X% on your purchase" For crying out loud, just take my money so I can go home. Truth be told I only come here when they send me a free $10 coupon in the mail. read more

My all time favorite shopping destination. Coupons at always available and the selections are abundant. They have great quality products and the staff is always friendly. Training might help in some scenarios by management picks up the slack. read more

The employees here are very rude and seem like they just don't care. While I was in the dressing room I overheard two employees complaining about having to put clothes on the discard rack back in the showroom (hello, isn't that your job?). The clothes there are either a hit or a miss, you're better off just to walk two doors down to Maurices. They are much nicer and have much better clothes. read more

very rude staff. bathroom and displays messy. in addition the new layout is terrible and plus size selection is very small and we are pushed into the corner. Coupons have changed Kohl's use to say coupons you can use on anything. Now it's on shoes or jewelry. I use to love Kohl's we had a coupon and couldn't use it asked to speak to the manager, when he came over he started off being rude, defensive and talked down to us. we left and will not shop here anymore and also get rid of their credit card read more
