What caught my eye was the more "dressy" items that you normally don't see in a resort town shop mixed in with the more casual and "beach" clothing. This shop holds an amazing collection of clothes, accessories and gift items. The staff could not be more friendly or less intrusive! They are extremely welcoming and helpful.

Another year, another update. On vacation again, doing laundry again, and needed to spend the "dry…read moretime" so walked next door to Daisy Jane's. Still an aesthetically pleasing place to browse, and they have a select quantity of beautiful clothing, shoes, and accessories. So many lovely, quality items! This year I bought two ample-sized shawl/wrap/scarves (Daisy big wrap) for when it eventually gets cold (it was in the 80s the day I bought them, but I know winter is a-comin'). They are incredibly soft, and come in the most gorgeous colors (I bought one in a deep plum color, and another in a rich teal. I hate winter, but I will be prepared to keep warm in style. The wraps were just $24, and I already know I'll be getting many compliments when I wear these. I also bought a light, airy poncho that can be worn several ways. I bought one here last year--in indigo--and I wear it over solid-colored basics. I never fail to get compliments on it (and it adds just the right amount of light warmth and coverage, as well as a pop of color--sorry, I normally stay away from using overplayed terms like that, but it fits). It's the Van Klee poncho, just $22, and I got one in fuschia. I fell in lust with some of their fabulous jewelry but had to get back to my laundry. I think I'll be back before heading home on the weekend. As noted in my previous review, the ladies working in the shop were friendly and helpful, but not right on top of me as I shopped (thank you, thank you). This is my favorite shop in York.

Not only did Cathy have the current version of my fav red Wolky Sandals from 3 Yrs ago, she had them in a black dress version and both were 1/2 off! I gladly replaced my clothes that were stolen the week before and am ALL set for ANY event. I just arrived in NY for work and play and am outfitted with everything I need. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us when we entered, offered to hang up our coats for us if we didn't want to wear them, and engaged us in conversation. Buddy, the dog, is a well known fixture at this store. Though he is ten years old, he didn't seem skittish around customers at all and welcomed belly rubs. Very cute! Great little gift shop! Two employees were chatting as I walked in, and just gave me a cursory look when I said "hello". On the way out I heard a "have-a-nice-day" as quick as could be. Just eh--honestly. I took a picture to prove that the displays are well done, and they do have a dress I would have purchased for my niece. She has made the varsity team as a freshman, is tan, and is well, hot. I wonder if the customer service would have changed if she were to have walked in. The sale was lost, either way.
