I've met a friend for lunch here twice now and I'm pretty underwhelmed.
I feel like it's very "average" for so-called sushi bars in Sydney, where the standard is pretty LOW. That's the only reason they get 3 stars, because the standard is so crap in this city and they are pretty average. Their fish and what not is fresh and the authentic items you can manage to get your paws on taste good and of a good quality.
HOWEVER, I am so sick of rice rolled up in seaweed with some chicken schnitzel inside being called SUSHI in this city. What the FUCK is that? Seriously?
I get that idiotic people show up to sushi bars who want plain, bland food served to them, because God forbid they actually expand their culinary horizons and broaden their palette to something slightly beyond that of a petulant 5-year-old who doesn't want to try anything new, but Iif i show up to a sushi bar, you know, actually wanting to eat sushi, most of the things on offer should be available and the majority of whats on the train should be non chicken schnitzel and vegetarian items. You know, a broad range of actual FISH on offer.... call me crazy?!!
Last time i was there i was like "can i get tuna sashimi".. we have no tuna.
Ok, "can I get the oysters?"... we have no oysters.
Then I asked for another, you know fish item. They didn't have that either. They only had salmon that day. Right. Okie dokie. Tons of chicken schnitzel though!
Also, the service is pretty sub-par here. Think zoned out space cadets. Yep. read more
