Fortunately for us we were not disappointed! The presentation of the desserts here is as immaculate as the white walls and white crockery they come on. The signature Patisserie Jin logo is stencilled in icing sugar and chocolate in one way, shape or form on the desserts and clearly each dessert is quite unique to this cafe. The little faces engraved on the spoons and forks here were also very kawaii! My dining counterpart's green tea creme brulee was sweet and custardy but balanced out by the fact that the matcha tea was used to flavour the dish. The triple chocolate cake was all mine and although small it was incredibly rich and a little bit bitter thanks to the use of dark chocolate. This is now the only dessert bar remaining on Unley Rd and so I think it will become more popular, but the atmosphere is slightly clinical and sparse for such a large space. It feels more like you're sitting in a bakery rather than a cute and cosy little dessert bar. The prices are also quite high for the size of the desserts you receive but they are rich in sugar value. Next time I'm craving a green tea dessert though I will be back!

It was like eating in a cafeteria and the layout was sparse, cold and sterile but the desserts were crafted with love, skill and fine ingredients. Expensive but it reflects the quality of the chocolate and ingredients. With late night dessert bars few and far between in adelaide it was a little busy but needs a little love, small details are lost in translation like plastic cups for water (super odd when most of the cutlery is custom) and the super low music. But again all adds up to a very different experience.

Have finally got to visit this hidden place!! Strange place for a dessert cafe really but it…read more somehow is busy every time its open! Obviously as the name suggests the main offering is waffles, but they also have crepes on the menu with a range of toppings for both. Most of them are sweet toppings but there are couple of savoury offerings. I had the Belgian Sugar waffle with belgian syrup and ice cream and it was delicious!! The waffle was fresh and warm with a sauce that, to me, tasted like christmas - kind of cinnamony, spicy, with a warmth to it if that explains it! Either way it was a damn good waffle!!! The shop is on the small side, you cam watch them make waffles from pretty much any seat and it smells great!! They is seating available indoor and some outdoor at the back! All nicely decorated. I would have given this an extra star but i do think its quite pricey for waffles/crepes which average $15 a serve. Drinks on top of that and soon mounts up! I will be back to taste some other toppings soon though..... maybe that will make me forget about the price!

It just recently opened and specialises in waffles and crepes. As I had hardly eaten that day, I was starving and didn't want anything sweet. But as my friends were keen on trying it out (we had heard about it from another friend) I went with the flow. Luckily, they have two savoury flavoured crepes. One is smoked salmon, the other bacon and egg with tomato. I had the latter - it was pretty good, the bacon was cooked differently. Not as crispy as I usually have it but still good. The waffles, on the other hand - uh-may-zing! The cinnamon waffle by itself? I reckon I could have it for breakfast every morning. My friend had the Belgian waffle with mango and dark chocolate drizzled all over it. It was the best thing I'd eaten in a while. The interior is cute and cosy, with Alice in Wonderland-like artwork on the back wall.

Eggless is hands down my favourite of all of Adelaide's dessert bars. It's not necessarily better…read morethan all the rest, but if I had to choose just one this would be it. Sure, the food is one part of it. Eggless is always changing their menu (monthly as it's been mentioned) and they're always plating up delicious homestyle desserts, but with interesting flavours. Whenever there is a dish containing either pandan, or banana & caramel, I'm completely sold. There have been dishes that haven't been my thing, but it's never put a damper on my night. There can be a wait, and people are used to it. It's rare to drive past and not see a line up outside. But I love that it's something they're working on, and now you can pop your name on their list, add your phone number, and go off and do your own thing. They'll give you a call when your table frees up and you don't have to wait around outside. I also love that I never have to worry about booking, because well... they don't take bookings. I like making spur of the moment decisions, and I know I can turn up at Eggless anytime and I'll never be turned away, I just might have a bit of a wait. The atmosphere is great, the staff are lovely, and you never get that feeling like you're being pressured to leave. It's great. You should eat there. Now.

EGGLESS!! It needs no introduction, because everyone (hopefully) knows about it by now. I'm a fan…read moreand these past few months I've been going at least once a month, because of the monthly menu changes. It's almost always worth the hour long waits, in rain or shine, which can be spent reading the menu (although I do that online beforehand sometimes). You also have to leave your name and number of people on the list and then get called in after some time. I usually come with a few others since it's easier to order more desserts with more people. I'll talk a bit about the May menu since it was the most recent experience. We ordered a Pandanmisu, Turkish Coffee Cheesecake, Death by Chocolate Sundae and the Miso Creme Brulee. I usually go for an Iced Teh Tahrik (Malaysian milk tea) since I'm obsessed with HK or Asian style milk teas. While it can be pretty sweet from the condensed milk but in my opinion it's the condensed milk that makes the drink. My favourite by far was the cheesecake because it was accompanied by rose cream, rose jelly, Turkish Delight and a sprinkling of pomegranates and pistachio. It's a match made in heaven! The cheesecake itself wasn't overly sweet and had that slight salty & savoury taste from the cream cheese which was nice with the coffee flavour. But the real highlights were the rose cream and jelly. I really love the floral and fragrant flavour of rosewater and they did well because it can be pretty strong. There wasn't too much rose cream or jelly on the plate so it wasn't overpowering. The pomegranate, pistachio and Turkish Delight gives it some texture as does the chocolate biscuit base. The Miso Creme Brulee was another dessert that stood out, because I was thinking 'was that miso as in the fermented soy miso?' So I wasn't sure what to expect...was it going be really salty and funky from the fermented paste? Surprisingly there was none of the powerful miso flavour and the custard was more like a salted creme brulee, similar to what you'd expected in a salted caramel or salted chocolate. It was pretty tasty for the same reason and I would order it again given the chance. The Pandanmisu was solid, the tiramisu filling was light and somewhat subtle on the pandan flavour but you can tell it's definitely pandan. But it wasn't quite as nice as the first two. And finally the chocolate sundae (choc gelato, choc brownie, ganache and choc mousse and cacao nibs) which was my least favourite because I'm not a fan of excessively chocolatey desserts so it's not their fault, since everyone else seemed to enjoy it. I've been meaning to review Eggless for a while and the score reflects the past experiences I've had not just the most recent. It's difficult to fault Eggless, although the menu is a little more creative and impressive on some months than others. The prices are fine- usually $10-14 depending on what you get and the serving sizes are decent. It's always a good experience for me, chatting with friends or family over dessert and tea. The owner is always friendly and is quite a talkative guy! I always tell my friends who haven't been to go at least once because I really think it's one of the best dessert cafes in Adelaide at the moment.

For a coffee lounge this place has do much personality and I have never dined in a place like this. Apparently this place used to be a brothel and today I can see how it's still carried that intimate feel. The place is dimly lit and has a lot of couches and booths which make you forget you're in a restaurant. This place is always busy!! My Aunt once told me, only eat in places that are busy that's the best way to know a place is good. Well spats definitely checks the box for that! Whenever you go to spats be prepared to have to wait 10mins or so to be seated. Now on to the food. Spats is well known for their desserts and for a good reason, they are goood. All the desserts range in price from $10-13 so it will not hurt your wallet. Along with the desserts I would recommend their cheese platter, it is exceptionally good value for money for the amount of cheeses you get. I can't say much for the $16.50 cocktails, their coffee or savoury menu as I've always grabbed dessert there, so I guess you'll have to try that for yourself. F the haters, I love spats!

Quite a bit bigger then its counterpart - The Elephant Walk, Spats promises more little nooks and crannies in which to share an intimate moment with a loved one, friends or a soon - to - be loved one. However, I was taken into a second room which had 70's decor that didn't quite fit the same atmosphere. It was a booth of old crappy wood and yellow, aged patterned glass. The service was good but the desserts and coffees were quite expensive (and you need cash, which is a pain in the ass). To be honest - maybe it's my palette or something, but I ordered a Mocha and it came - without milk, but with cream - in a glass that was too hot to hold and i just didn't enjoy it. The last time I didn't enjoy something with chocolate in it was ... never. However the cake we had was presented well and really tasty! Its a different little place to go which is often open when other places are not and if you get seated in the atmospheric room you first come into and just have cake - it would be quite good.
