There are water fountains at several points as well as bathrooms. The bathrooms in Gambier are in a normal structure, not porta potty, and the woman's was well maintained and clean. This trail is fully volunteer maintained so a clean bathroom, freshly planted flowers, and smooth asphalt is impressive. Every town stop also has a bike repair kit and manual air pump to keep you rolling.

It is also difficult to find someone to work on an I/O motor. I can't say enough wonderful things about a couple of Pier 36's boat mechanics (Caleb and Daniel). I could tell the minute I met Caleb that he knew what he was doing and had lots of experience. I needed my bellows replaced and he took the time to make sure everything was fine with my boat after the work was finished and we put it back in the lake. He even called me a couple days after he did the work to make sure everything was okay (great customer service in my opinion). Caleb and Daniel also replaced my ignition switch because the starter was engaging when I switched from forward to reverse which caused a terrible grinding noice. Caleb also adjusted some cables and now my shifter lever is smoother than ever. I am very pleased with the service I have received and I highly recommend Pier 36

This place is a mountain biking haven; most trails are off-limits to hikers, but there is a trail for hiking. Wear good shoes if you're walking a lot- Converse won't cut it. Can't wait to return with better shoes. Great views. Shelter houses, a playground, and monuments. Surely this place is packed with history- a great place to explore. Another thing- when driving to the top, there's a sign saying No Motor Vehicles, so I tried to turn the car around. DON'T do this- it's too narrow and dangerous- plus the road is one way. I kept going and was relieved to see other cars on top. There's one road up the mountain and another down, and one-way signs once you get to the top. The No Motor Vehicle signs are for the mountain bike trails.

There are steep downhill trails at the front of the park, from the main parking lot at the top toward the road. Then from the playground in the back of the park are flow trails with some jump lines. There are multiple trail maps posted throughout the park. There is also a crew of riders here almost every day that could point you in the right direction if you happen to need help. 10/10 trail system.

Great views and you may have an occasional horse trot through from the paths through the woods. The first time you play it might help to go with someone who knows the layout of the course as there are no signs pointing you to the next hole. Some holes are a good walk through the woods and you won't find them without some sort of map or guide (which I have not found yet.) Luckily I played with my cousin who's been there before, but I would still be out there if I went my myself. I can't wait to take my sons out there and play again. In the Summer once things grow in, you'll have a hard time finding a disc if you throw in the woods. but the fairways are very wide, think like football field wide, except for the 7-9 which play in the woods. + This course is not as technical as others, but requires throwing good distances. One of my favorites by far. + They have concrete pads on all holes + The pro tees are very fun to play on for a great challenge. + The course isn't really crowded, but more and more people are going out to check it out and it's getting more popular. Cons: Not too many... - It's a drive for many people, but well worth it, for the minimal amount of time it will take to get there if you usually play around Columbus. - The Summer months are more challenging, due to the growth. - Prepare to do some hiking! - The parking lot is small, but usually not a problem, because not too many people go out there. - If you don't know the layout, going from hole 3 to 4 is kind on hidden and can be confusing. Just get the layout and you'll be fine.

I have been going to this outdoor shooting range for over a year now and I could not be happier. The range staff is top notch safety range officers and are more than happy to assist you in any way they can. Just make sure you follow safety protocols when handling a firearm and follow their specific instructions or you will be addressed appropriately. I love coming here because of the fact that it is an outdoor setting and the facility is very well kept up. You can shoot both paper and steel targets and two shooting positions to practice on. The price is very reasonable and it's even cheaper if you have an ODNR pass. I go out of my way to go there ( approx 30 min from my home ) because I know that when I get there, I will be treated professionally and courteously and I feel valued as a loyal repeat customer. Trap, skeet, 5-stand, sporting clay…read more This was a super fun morning! We did the 100 sporting clays targets($42). There were 16 stations, 2 had 8 shots and the rest were 6. We did the red course which was mostly in the woods and a few were out in the open. The whole course took about 2.5 hours to complete and it was so much fun. Each station can be operated solo, with a friend or in a group. There was no rush and they even allow a test run of A & B so you can see where the clays are coming from. I can't wait to come back and try the Blue course and the other options they have. The course prices are a really good deal. My only complaint was that there was not enough signage to the clubhouse or on the course itself. We spent a little more time than needed looking for the clubhouse as well as walking around some extra paths unnecessarily. Now that I have been there and done the course it will be much easier to figure it out.
