I wanted to check out the Progress Ave store to browse what they have. The salesperson will jump on you the moment you walk into the store so you don't have the the privacy of just checking out the store on your own. Found the taps rather expensive. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEM. NOT A SHRED OF INTEGRITY OR PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AMONGST EVERYONE I DEALT WITH. THEY MAKE STUFF UP TO GET A SALE, CAN'T BE BOTHERED DEALING WITH YOU WHEN THEY DON"T LIVE UP TO THEIR PROMISES, AND THEN TRY AND RIP YOU OFF WHEN THEY CAN"T DELIVER. Ordered a number of items for our kitchen and bath renovation. Because the contractor moved up the start date, we were scrambling looking for items. Went to Kolani specifically asking for items they have in stock. We picked our items and made our payment and Adam told us they would be ready for pick up the following week because "they had one guy working in the warehouse" and he was backed up. A week goes by and no-one form Kolani calls. The following Monday we followed up and get told the delay was because they ordered most of the items from manufacturers and they had no idea when they would be in stock. After getting upset with them, the Araam decided maybe they should check when the items would be available. Got a call the next day saying everything would be ready for pick up on Thursday (1 week late). I called on Friday to schedule pick-up. They now said everything was ready except the vanity sink. It was on order from the manufacturer and would not arrive until Dec 15. Went to pick up the items they had and the Dec 15 date for the sink became sometime in January. They suggested they had a 3 hole version of the sink but the only faucet that would fit was $600 more. When I refused, they suggested switching to a quartz counter/sink. They had charged $400 extra for us to upgrade to the porcelain sink over the quartz and then offered a $300 refund to go back to quartz. Shameless lack of integrity. It's pretty pathetic when a store's customer service staff try and suggest it's not their responsibility when or if you get your order. read more

Buyer Beware - you will not get accurate, factual informatiion for this company. First, take note of the lack of details about the products listed....it's a clue about the sloppiness of this business. I had to reach out several times to find out basic information about products on their website - there are inaccuracies about products they sell. As a result, before ordering a new vanity for my bathroom renovation I inquired about the timeline to get the vanity from Nandini in customer service. I inquired to ensure we had it in time for my contrator for install. She confirmed it would take 3-5 days for me to get the vanity based on where I lived. I am coordinating all the materials for my contractor. After 10 days I still haven't received the vanity. Nandini tells me today that they are still waiting to receive the vanity from the manufacturer and should have it soon. With many emails back and forth she didn't answerr very basic questions, did not tell me they do not have it on site and now blames the July 1st holiday for the day. The holiday was always on July 1st and she did not factor into account that they needed to order the vanity. This is complete incompetence from this business. There are many mistake on their website and I have zero confidence the vanity will arrive as she says this week....and very concerned about the condition based on these reviews. I am so annoyed at myself for not reading these reviews first. My bathroom reno is finished except we have no vanity. Thanks to kohlani for giving incorrect and misleading information. Ordered a twenty four inch towel bar. Paper work says 24 inch but the product is 21.5 inch. They said they would get back to me by phone in five minutes and now they appear to be blocking my calls. read more

Purchased a set of faucets for my bathroom in May 2021. At the time of purchase I've been told it will take 2-3 weeks to deliver. I was on a time crunch and this was main decision driver to go with this supplier and brand. Once I made payments, I've been told it will take 4-6 weeks, than I've been told 8 weeks, than mid July, now I'm told august 2021. I found missing parts of order from another supplier and Kolani doesn't let me cancel items from order. They probably don't give a crap about a mom with two kids spending extra months living in basement, neither paying triple to contractors to return and finish remaining renovation. Dishonest sales reps providing unrealistic timelines just to make a sale.... read more

if you are purchasing product from this location "buyer beware". You see it on the sales floor and they tell you "we get you brand new in a box" and when the time of pickup occurs and you open the box it's the identical unit on the floor and they then deny it is not? Fortunately pictures were taken on the floor model and "abra-cadabra" the joint separations and larger drilled holes than knobs are identical. The store comment is "do you have the box"? Where has the pride and professionalism gone in people. Purchasers do yourself a favour and take a picture of the Demo or floor model because the shell game will be played. What a shame that anyone would allow a proud business to have no set standards. Their Woodbridge location as well as their concord location have staff members that are completely unreasonable. I purchased a $3000.00 vanity from them and when it came the drawers weren't smooth and the hinges were different colours. They threatened to not sell me the vanity after waiting 2 weeks for the vanity to arrive. I was forced to take it in the condition that it was in as I couldn't risk losing the contractor who was installing it. The company didn't care that this happened read more

We purchased a Virta Venace free standing tub at the start of summer. The tub stopper didn't work so we haven't been able to use it. We've asked Kolani repeatedly for help. Max hasn't responded to our last few emails spanning 2 months. We reached out directly to Virta for help now. I don't recommend Kolani to anyone because of this lack of communication. read more

I have only positive things to share about my experience with Max and his staff. We needed vanities, faucets, toilets, etc. The staff were very helpful in explaining all of my options, stayed on budget, offered fast delivery, and were overall a pleasure to work with. When one toilet was found to have a manufacturer's defect, they were quick to take it back and replace it. read more

I was on the scrounge for a bathroom fixture when I called Kolani they told me they had the one I needed in stock but they couldn't sell it to me unless I bought more bathroom fixtures from them. I told them I have all the other fixtures I just need this one, he told me to return what I bought and buy them all from him. Why would I do that? The next day he called me wanting to sell the fixture to me and I already found a replacement I asked him why wouldn't you sell me your stock to me to begin with? He knew he had what little stock was availble for this particular finish and wanted to get greedy, he said "IT'S BUSINESS".... Yes VERY BAD business and you will never see mine, he said he wanted me to be his customer knowing I'm a designer and can bring him business, but first impressions last the longest. They run their showroom like a used car dealership. I wouldn't touch them with 20' pole. read more

What a horrible experience once again. The first time, wasnt as bad and I was sure not to use them…read moreagain. But I gave them a second chance and it was horrible. First of all, no one can beat the price for the look. But, you get what you pay for. Cabinets are manufactured most likely in China, they are standard sizes by 3 inches and cannot be custom made. They are stained and painted here in Brampton. The installers are horrible. Always leaves with scratches and dents in my cabinets. I asked not to get the same ones, and guess what? I got the same installers 5 years apart...what a coincidence? I think not. Sales person gave me the incorrect sample door colour and so I had a few days to decide between their colour and a custom colour I was thinking about. I decided to go with their standard colour and emailed back the signed papers with the name of the colour we had discussed and so I thought it obviously was that door sample given to me...I mean why else give me the door sample for colour comparison right?? So for 1 month i took this door everywhere and colour coordinated my entire house, paint, trim, tile, hardwood, counter, and backsplash. Finally the cabinets arrive and its not the colour of the door sample given to me!!! Its their colour that we talked about, but not the door sample given to me as the mentioned only colour we had discussed. So they realized their mistake and at first was willing to take it back, but I let it go at first thinking it would work, but later realized it just wouldnt. I would need to change the entire design. So, final was, they were willing to take just the doors back and repaint them, but i would have to find my own painter to spray paint what was left behind, trim and base and kickplates. I would be paying out of my own pocket for this. So I found a painter, but they needed to know exactly the paint colour/code/formula/ and sheen required. Usually this can easily be provided, or some companies offer to sell their paints to you, but not Cartier, they backed me into a corner, and would not provide those details, as if it's such a huge secret. In the end, I had to pay out of my own pocket thousands of dollars to have it repainted to the original colour required, the colour of the door sample given to me. Horrible customer service! Extremely stressful, I dont think anyone deserves to encounter this issue. They seem a bit rude when you have to tell them they made a mistake, and of course pride comes in. But for goodness sake, correct it! We're not talking about 100 bucks here, its thousands of dollars. I know now for sure I will never use them. I will never ever recommend them. I will never use them on another house reno or house flip. I will ensure I explain in detail to many designers and real estate agents my story to ensure no one else has to have a bad experience with them.

I contacted a manufacturer of. 57" single sink bathroom vanity and they stated that they have a vendor in Winnipeg (where I'm located) and another vendor "Kolani" in Woodbridge On. the vendor here in Winnipeg quoted me over $6000.00. I then called Kolani and dealt with Nandini that quoted me $2,844.00 (including taxes & deliver to Winnipeg). Over $3,000 cheaper for the exact same item. Nandini was informative, accommodating and very friendly. We received a very well packaged vanity right to our door. It's beautiful and everything Nandini promised. Since they had the collection of the tiles too. It made our visit even successful. Kolani is the one stop shop for the home renovation.
