I got the Thai iced tea flavor and my husband got cookies and cream. My husband thought the flavor was spot on but the consistency wasn't there for it being vegan. Unfortunately for my Thai iced tea the flavor and the consistency were off. I could see for someone who is vegan that this would hit that craving. But for someone who does eat dairy, it wasn't quite there. However, the location is convenient and you can walk the boardwalk afterwards. But it is quite pricey for two kids cups going for about $13.

One time in all the 24 years I've known him. But after that first visit, he was raving about this place like it had changed his worldview. I heard about that dragon fruit ice cream for an entire year -- how it was "creamy," "perfectly balanced," "a revelation." You'd think it cured his seasonal depression. Naturally, when we finally came back, expectations were sky-high. We grabbed a few samples and... immediate heartbreak. What we got wasn't ice cream -- it was ice with aspirations. Watery, flavorless, sad little scoops pretending to be something they're not. I've had melted popsicles with more personality. It was like the spirit of the original recipe had died and been replaced by the ghost of freezer burn. Even my chocolate-obsessed guy, who was ready to defend this place with his whole chest, just stood there, spoon in hand, looking betrayed. Maybe we caught an off day. Maybe the dragon fruit lost its magic. But right now, it's giving "fruit-flavored regret. Pass

Backyard setting with al covered picnic style benches and tables. The owner is super sweet and she's now joined by her daughter. They also have hot dogs on the menu. The only downside to this place is that the hours of operation are inconsistent. The owners said it's because she recently a promotion at her regular job and had to switch up her schedule. So sometimes we drive by when they're supposed to be open ,only to see a lock on the gate. It's a seasonal shop as it is so if closed on a hot summer day it can be a bit disappointing but I get the reason . Overall the season closes just around Thanksgiving. Cash only. If you're lucky to catch them open it's a refreshing flavor filled treat.

Wow !!!! A little oasis in ENY Brooklyn …read more..... Been passing this Hawaiian Shave Ice Stand for the past few weeks finally had to stop today to get some relief form this heat .... Just take a look at this lil Stand, it's so welcoming nicely decorated with beautiful flowers and tropical colors a real Hawaiian theme going on which makes you feel like your on Vacation .... O, did I mention that they have Island music playing steel drums and all that Caribbean music which makes you forget all your worries !!! They provide shaded seating under a gazebo and what I really enjoyed was the water misters to keep you kool while waiting in line ..... Finally it was my turn to be served and this nice lady greeted me with a friendly smile and knew it was my first time here... she was so nice she explained how they make fresh snow as they call it, she actually made me a snow ball in the middle of July ... lol They shave block ice in a machine which turns it into fresh fallen snow ... then their flavor syrups get poured on top and the snow catches all the syrups just like it's gonna catch you !!! Over 100 flavor combinations to choose from & create .... I'm sold and will be back here with my girlfriend tomorrow night !!! Great spot for a lil date night .. Her name was Loreen and she let me sample a few flavors and every one she suggested was off the chain delicious!!! I finally decided to go with a large Hawaiian Sun Set which has guava, mango, pineapple & strawberry ... O and don't forget to add cream it's make the ice more creamy & delish !!! It's worth the .50 cents extra .... After hanging out here eating my ice I noticed that they serve Sabrett all beef hot dogs with all the yum yums !!! Sabrett Onions & Sauerkraut... I had to give them a try ... I went with the special 2 dogs & a soda for $ 5.50 great deal ... The dogs are fresh and had a nice snap when I bit into them... the onion & kraut was on point !!!! Glad I stopped in .... also got to see how the Lil kids really enjoy this shave ice stand .... A great spot to bring the family ... the kids will definitely love this place .... Thanks Loreen for the great service & awesome Shave Ice & delicious hot dogs brought back great memories from when I was a kid ... And, a lot of daring flavors if you are feeling adventurous (dill pickle? toothpaste?). It was so hard to choose flavors, but it's nice that you could try different flavor combinations if you do visit often. They also have sugar free flavors and some that don't have food dye. Also, they really pack in the flavors. No wimpy or cheap flavoring here. They make sure that you taste everything by filling up half of the cup with ice and flavoring and then more ice with more flavoring. And, speaking of cups, their sizes are big, BUT WAIT, if you think of it, it makes sense because it's mainly packed ice and flavoring, so if you want a lot, you'll have to order the avalanche. But it is pretty filling, so for your little ones, the smallest size should be perfect. When you order, you have to choose a size, 2 flavors (you can add more for a price), and then you can add other toppings like cream, etc. It took awhile to get our order because there were a lot of people ahead of us, but you could see how much ice and flavoring they add, which makes the wait worth it. This place was so good and refreshing that we went back again the next day. So sad that this place doesn't exist in my area. I would be here quite often if it was, but glad that I could look forward to stopping here next time I'm in the area.

We were quickly and warmly greeted by the young woman working behind the desk. She was finishing up an order and then took ours. I always stick to my tried and true favorite of Thai milk tea with boba. I would give my Thai tea a 4/5- it was tasty, but lacked a bit of the stronger/earthy flavors other Thai teas have. My husband got the pineapple tea. He forgot to request boba, so his was just the drink without the bubbles. I liked the stronger flavor of his tea more than mine. The cups were adorable, with cat shaped covers and ears popping up. If you are heading down the shore and are in the mood for a bubble tea, this is a good option. They also offer tangulu (fruit dipped in crunchy, clear sugar coating). We did not try it this time, but I will definitely be back to give it a taste. The only thing that really upset me, was that when I asked her to please raise the heat (it was very cold in the restaurant), she didn't. I left the waitress a $20 tip upon the insistance of my boyfriend. I was very disappointed that she didn't raise the heat. After all it was a raw, rainy day today. The kind of cold that seeps into you bones. I will go back there but will take the food home. I won't dine in until the weather gets hot.

Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner. Seeing the pouty little grump in a small fit, the girls at the counter coaxed him over with ice cream and stickers, which he of course eagerly accepted, pleased by the attention and confection, and was soon back to his endearing self. So I really appreciated their extra kindness! This is a fab joint for a quick-casual or just a perfect sweet treat!
