Metro stop in the city center, complete with a mall!
Aside from the station closest to my Airbnb, this was the station I utilized the most during my week in Copenhagen. It is centrally located, with lots of tourist-y and interesting things within easy walking distance. I mostly used the Metro area, and any main complaint would be that I'm not sure the exit is marked super well. We ended up wandering through the mall/store attached to the station, Magasin, as we tried to make our way to daylight. This was really only an issue and frustration the first couple times we used this station. So for locals and long-term residents...this is not an issue. I got acquainted to it fairly quickly so I am pretty sure you can figure it out quickly as well.
That said, during my visit to the city, this station was under construction as was some of the area surrounding it. It made things a little messier and more frustrating to navigate in that time. And since it is a central station, there are people trying to get tourists to go with them for tours or pay attention to them for...something.
I was also there around the time of elections so there was always at least one person, but usually more, at the top of the exit stairs trying to hand out flyers about their candidate or reminding about voting. I personally have no use for this information and it resulted in a lot of litter when people didn't want to hold on to their flyer. I expect that this isn't a typical thing though...
All said, it is convenient to the central area and you can go shopping while there. read more
