They make you use a laptop to update information, and the system was extremely slow . I was doing everything they asked, but by the time I finished, it said we were late -- and we were less than 5 minutes behind the appointment time . I spoke to the receptionist and explained everything, but instead of understanding, she just said, "You're late, nothing I can do." No help, no solution, no flexibility at all. They basically blamed us for the delay caused by their own slow and outdated system . That's just unfair. What really made me uncomfortable is that I couldn't help but feel there was some discrimination involved . We were treated with a cold attitude, and I honestly feel like it was because we are a different ethnicity. Why were others getting more patience and support, but not us??? Why no understanding??? This place is unorganized, disrespectful, and clearly doesn't value all of its patients equally. We won't be coming back.

I think her husband, also Dr. Khan has the other Davenport Pediatrics which is at the other end of Davenport near 192. When I was 7 months pregnant I visited Dr. Khan and several other pediatricians to try and decide where to take my new baby. I chose Dr. Khan because when I was "interviewing" pediatricians she was one of the only offices I went to where the doctor actually sat down and talked with me rather than just have me meet with a nurse. I also chose this location because it is less than 5 minutes from our house so should something happen we can have the baby over there in a jiffy. Another thing I appreciate about this office is that there is both a sick and well waiting room. All the moms told me this is a priority because when you are bringing in your well baby for a check up you don't want to sit next to a kid with strep. Finally, they do not charge for after hours calls here where some pediatrican offices do. I'm relatively new at this mom thing and I'm a little nervous. I may have called twice late at night and Dr. Khan or Dr. Sia called me right back. My husband jokes that he is going to record Dr. Khan telling me that "It's normal!" and send it to me every time the baby does something new. LOL I haven't seen Dr. Sia so I can't say anything about him, but I really like Dr. Khan. The only reason I can't give the place 5 stars is because of the wait. For our well baby check ups we haven't had a terrible wait, maybe 20-30 minutes. However, one time my son had a rash and I called and they said to bring him right in. My husband took him and waited two hours for them to tell him it was eczema and to put some lotion on it. He was VERY frustrated. Yesterday, we went in for a flu shot. That's it. Just a flu shot. We waited 1 hour and 8 minutes for a flu shot. That's crazy. When we asked what took so long they told us that there was only 1 nurse instead of two today. (They could have said that when we checked in and we could have rescheduled). Then they said we had only waited 30 minutes. Nope, maybe y'all forgot to check us in, but we waited over an hour. The wait seems to be worse in the afternoon when kids are getting out of school, but it is very difficult to wait so long with an infant. Additionally, if the wait is an hour it sort of lessens the convenience of having them right down the road. I really like Dr. Khan and the office staff is generally quite friendly, so here's hoping the wait times were just flukes.

Each time we go, they are always asking about the other kids and our spouses. It feels like a local neighborhood doctor. They are quick to respond if we call for anything. They are beyond pleasant with the kids, and NONE of the fear going to the doctor (even after shots). The office staff holds the same level of integrity as the doctors and are nothing but professional. We trust these two with the lives of our children. However, she lack experience with issues mentioned above. I will write my experience briefly below. I also do not recommend this practice in general since novice therapist cases should be supervised. if it was supervised correctly, may be we could have prevented whole incident with me. Thus, if you have issues that i mentioned above, please seek more experienced and experts on those specific issues to prevent more harm to yourself. she was my therapist for almost 2 years. Recently, i went to her after loss of family member. she prematurely initiated baker act (declared i was risk to my self, called cops, was taken to hospital to get psych evaluation). I was discharged few hours after psych eval which they concluded that i am just sad due to grieving. I am not accusing her initiated baker act but misevaluating and misjudging the risk here. That's where the experience and expertise come in. I hope this is a learning opportunity for her and provide her with valuable insights. Harmed by therapist: for past two years, she was not a bad therapist. I thought i healed some of my relational trauma. I thought i could trust her enough to share my issues. Post incident, i am now having hard time even trusting anyone at this moment. I feel betrayed and mostly misunderstood. She did not assessed or predict properly. I thought the baker act was impulsive (imo). Retrospectively, she obviously lack general experience and perspective to help me with my issues. I suspect, i was her first baker act and she was unaware of the process. I was blind sided and harmed by the whole incident in general. she may be fine if you are looking for someone to listen to your issue. even then, I would be hesitant to recommend her.Please do your own research. I would also not recommend the hope behavior itself. clearly, there was lack of supervision. she is a novice therapist, someone more experienced should have supervised her cases. clearly, it was negligent on her supervisor's part. I am unaware if practice provides her supervisor or not. it was just harmful for patient like me. lastly, I always want to support novice therapist/ mental health counsels. However, after having experience with her, I would seek more expert/ experienced counselor who have treated people with my issues and can assess me better. We were just incompatible.
