And then she looked after all the reservations, flights etc. From perfect excursions led by wonderful guides, to hotels which met our needs, to seamless transfers between locations with pickups and drop-offs on time every time, it took all the stress out of travel. Our lead guide Jessica exuded competence, confidence, and professionalism on the top of the mountain and on the slope, while also having some great jokes while waiting for the cat. Tail guide Wiggles kept an excited group of snowboarders and skiers focused and paying attention, as appropriate to the seriousness of backcountry skiing/boarding. Mitch our cat driver had the most genuine and sincere smile on his face every time helping us load and unload that was a ray of positivity. Who can change an international trip with that short of notice? For my inconvenience they offered me 10% off, thanks but that doesn't match up with the inconvenience of changing an entire trip. Also, they didn't help me connect with anyone else that could replace the trip. When I researched other companies there were no other operators in the area with availability or a similar trip. Not only did they cancel but they did it so late I had no other opportunities. To throw salt on the wound, it's going to be a powder day when I was scheduled with them... I would not recommend this company as you cannot count on them to follow through.

Disappointing Stay - Poor Sleep Due to Constant Noise, Faulty Heater, and No Real Compensation…read more We checked into The Adventure Hotel in Nelson on January 10, 2026, and checked out the next morning after a very frustrating night. Upon returning to our room in the evening, we discovered the TV wasn't working at all, so no chance to relax and unwind as planned. The real issue was the lack of sleep. The wall-mounted heater/cooling unit produced a loud, intermittent buzzing noise that went on all night - impossible to ignore. The floors were extremely creaky; even walking to the bathroom woke up my partner every time. To top it off, around 4 a.m., someone in the room above us started moving furniture or chairs, creating even more disruptive banging. When checking out, I politely explained the issues to the front desk staff and mentioned I hadn't slept at all due to the constant noise. I was hoping for some goodwill, like a significant discount or a future credit, but all we received was a generic apology and a note that the room would be added to the repair list. They also mentioned we could have called for a room change (they had availability), but who wants to pack up in the middle of the night, move, and try to settle back in just to get a few hours of rest? We've stayed at the Hume Hotel several times and always had excellent, quiet, comfortable experiences there. We decided to try the Adventure Hotel this time for a change, but it was a big mistake. The location is central, but the noise issues made it impossible to recommend. If you're a light sleeper, I'd steer clear and stick with more reliable options like the Hume. Would not stay here again. 1/5 stars.

I ordered a well, well done (no pink) filet mignon meal. Let me tell you, compliments to the chef. I believe his name was Chef Paul. This was a perfectly seasoned piece of butter tender well done fillet mignon and the broccolini with potatoes and wine sauce really set it off!!! ADV Rider :{) I…read morerode up from the states and stayed the night at one of their tent spaces for a night. Spoke with the owners(wonderful folks) and rented a tent space for the evening. Beautiful scenery, Cabins available, well kept RV & Tent sites available, older but clean Bathrooms available. I slept like a rock listening to the nearby creek, very peaceful. They have a small Italian Restaurant with both inside and outside seating, a Boat Ramp/Marina and beautiful views of the Mountains and Kootenay Lake. I will most definitely be staying there again when i am back in the area. :{)
