Years later, not much has changed. Same ambiance, same feel, no real meals /food (depending on the day you might get a pre-packaged sandwich). It's obvious the focus here is on coffee, and ou coffee. Their brew is excellent and like nothing I've ever tasted (as a former barista). My biggest complaint? The tea. The selection is atrocious. I drank through the decent offerings in a week. I mean, a box of Tetley? C'mon now. If you're touting yourself as the king of crema (and they are, it's amazing) the least you could do is offer something better than the tea version of instant coffee granules - cheapest ones you can buy. Today, with literally no palatable tea options, I paid $2 for hot water for my own tea. I'm also not a fan of their hours (they close at 530, like most places in Cranbrook). I mean, I get it, they make their money roasting. The shop is obviously secondary. I could just see this as a great hangout spot - one of the very few in town - for those not wanting the pretentiousness of Hot Shots or a bar. Just good coffee. I do love it here, truly. The wifi is great, the air conditioner freezing, the chairs comfy. It's difficult to work in though (my criteria for a good coffee shop, as a writer) unless you bring your own food. I really love the aesthetic of the building and there cups are really cute. There hot chocolate is bomb, but their coffee is really bitter. Also how they make they make their Italian sodas, they take club soda, and mix it with blended ice and artificial flavor syrup. I would definitely go back for the hot chocolate but do not recommend the coffee. read more

A great coffee shop in downtown Cranbrook. I have gone to this location a few times now and all of their choices are good. I have sampled a variety of specialty drinks, as well as some of their own roasted coffee and have yet to be disappointed. The baked goods taste home made and fresh. The service is fantastic with very knowledgeable staff. The sitting choices are also appropriate to suit all sorts of gatherings, there is something for everyone. The decor is quaint and some of it is for sale. The price is appropriate for a specialty coffee shop and not excessive for the quality. If you like their selection, feel free to buy a bag of your favorite roast so you can brew it in the comfort of your own home. Mind you, never have I felt un-welcomed to stay for however long i pleased, so it worked great for doing homework.
