Well, it was decent enough, and the pub certainly did have a rather nice atmosphere, though it probably does have something to do with the nature of the crowds that tend to flock here. There are a lot of trendy places in town that charge about twice what you will pay here. The food is generous and the flavor is still there. Add to this the bread, veggies and potato bar area and you have a great meal at a decent price. We had a chicken plate and a Guinness beef stew dish. Both were way too much food but we ate them since they were so good. Drinks were normal price. It could get noisy in there but it wasn't the night we were there. Music was playing over the speakers.

I reminded me of one of those really cool inner city pubs you find in Melbourne, only it's in Warrnambool. It certainly appeals to the younger crowd, but I never felt out of place here, and the tunes they pumped out were nothing short of awesome. In fact I loved the place so much I dragged my friend back the next day to discover that they also have live music. Oh, they also have a pretty decent selection of craft beer on tap, as well as a nice array of wine. Definitely a place to visit if you are looking for a nightspot in Warrnambool.

Basically, aside form the bartender, there was only one other person here other than myself, which made me sort of wander whether there was a reason why this place wasn't packed full of people on a Saturday afternoon. I suspect that it probably has something to do with it being a restaurant rather than a bar. However I was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat, and this seemed to be the perfect choice, though it turned out that it was the perfect choice for everybody else, meaning that I ended up waiting ages for my steak sandwich to come. It turned out that it was worth the wait because it wasn't all that bad, however having to deal with the Easter Sunday crowds really wasn't that thrilling. As for a pub, it's okay, but nothing all that exciting - just one of those pubs that you find on the main road with a fairly bland, but modern, décor.
