Why did I not know of this before now, I ask you…read more I originally first fell for the Black Box brand on my first foray into The Department Store in Takapuna. Now that I know they actually have their own store,and things are actually cheaper than where you would buy them originally I am hooked. It helps that they had a babe'n sales assistant on the day when I went in there, all dark hair and tatts and well dressed and oh my god did I tell you I love this store! He was actually very helpful. This isn't your typical outlet store, they actually have stuff that is being sold at other places at the same time, its not end of lines or just stuff that no one bought. It's cheap AND its not last seasons. As well as great clothes, they also do amazing shoes too. Sales assistant guy: call me!

All of the clothing in here has a discount of between 50 and 70% off of its original price. What's great about it is that, unlike outlet shopping in malls like Onehunga Dress Smart, this store is actually full of really great clothes. I recently bought a really cute pair of Ksubi denim shorts for way cheaper than their original price. Also unlike most outlet stores, the clothing is still really well merchandised, with everything sectioned off into styles, making it really easy to shop. There are few places (in fact, I can't really think of any) like this in Auckland so make the most of their great selection of labels and even better prices.

They have such a sweet as range of different colours and styles that I would be put to the test to decide on the right one. Other than those famous Brazilian jandals loved the world over, I really like the range of Sanuk shoes in store- so comfy and for the eco conscious shopper. The Bach Surf shop has been present in Matakana village for many a year since the early part of this millennium. I love the brands they offer- my faves are Billabong, Quicksilver, Sea Folly, Dragon and Havaianas. So remember if you have mistakenly left your sunnies or hat at home on your way north, pop in to The Bach and they will provide you with style and quality.

They have a few outlets in exotic NZ location and Waiheke Island is one of them. The shop is in the heart of Oneroa and is a good place to browse their product range which ranges from kids gear to mens and womens designer pieces. But you will have to pay for the quality, the cheapest item is still over $20 and it is just a head band which doubles as a neck warmer. With the nice designs that Glowing Sky create I know I would get wear out of a lot of their items so the $200 or so you need to pay for a cardy is probably worth it when you think about how much use you'd get. Quite steep though. Keep the focus on the quality and you won't mind about the price. This is great NZ fashion, glad they chose Waiheke as one of their outlet stores.

I have twin 16 year olds who have grown up wearing clothing predominantly from Hallensteins they are fussy but have a sort of simplistic style/trend, they love the tailored look as well as the different trench coats, chinos & merino tops on offer. Of course as a mum of twins I absolutely love the two for one deals!!! If their are any part-time jobs going the boys said that this is one of the places they would be happy to apply/work at - which also speaks well of their experiences in store also. Their book section is another favourite, it's good for seeking out those really old classics that the library has long got rid of. They have quite a bit of bric-a-brac, which I don't have much time for but Mum spends hours ferreting though. I've always found loads at the WW hospice shop, probably loads I really don't need, but at least I know that my money is going to a fabulous cause (and not to one of the richest men in the country who runs Save Mart!)

The staff member was so astute, and yet casual in his demeanor, I couldn't fault him. I forgot we had service like that in menswear stores in Auckland. However this does not mean there are huge distinctions between the mens and womens areas of the shop - there is actually quite an androgynous feel about the clothing on display, from the beanies to duffel coats, bar the odd Lonely Hearts dress or two. This makes for a nice range of casual, easy-to-wear street gear, perfect for days at uni but easily styled up with a pair of heels or some dress shoes. In terms of the service, I was helped today by a friendly girl who sympathised wonderfully with my proportion dilemma with pants and did a great job at trying to help me what I was looking for (unfortunately it was one of those cases where that 'in-between' size does not exist). I will certainly be back though, as Area 51 is a boutique filled with a great range of some of the best NZ and international brands.

I've recently done a few trips down in an attempt to find something awesome to rep to the 21sts I have coming out of my ears. I've yet to be so lucky. This is the kind of place you need to sift through the racks and you're either going to find something great that happens to be in your size or find nothing at all! I always head down to the back where the sales racks are! There are pretty darn good prices on some of the dresses. But there are also pretty horrendous prices on other things. Again - you have to search and find. My sister just bought a great bikini from here and a friend of mine was looking stunning last night in a blue peplum dress she found hiding in the sales rack!
