I had a terrible experience with waxing (this turkish lady burned me during a bikini wax and when I complained, she left me there, on the table and went up to ask for help.... nobody came (from the two other ladies working in nails upstairs) and what is worse, I later complained (by phone to the manager (or owner) Renee, and to me it seemed she really did not care: she agree to call me so I left my number (it was a Saturday, so she was not there) and she never did. It is a poorly ran, with poorly trained staff (morale and energy are quite low) business in a "centric, convenient area" of Basel. They tried to become a "cool" salon in a picturesque street in downtown Basel: I even happily thought it was going to be the alternative to Pure aveda (which is totally overpriced and at least a couple of years ago, also quite mediocre ), but Alas, it is unfortunately pretty bad. I will not return. I think there is a real opportunity for good quality, solid service nail and waxing salons in this area, I hope someone grasps the opportunity soon and delivers!

Ity is always very attentive and patient in listening to exactly what I want, and she is diligent in taking her time to get me there. I rarely do threading because I've always found it so much more painful than waxing, but with Ity, there was no pain at all...I found her threading to be even more painless than waxing. I would highly recommend Ity for threading, and each month I looking forward to my appointment with her. Moreover, Ity is very friendly, and I always have a great time chatting with her. Since she works out of her home, her schedule is pretty flexible. She's quick to respond via SMS, phone, or e-mail for setting up appointments. She does the threading at her dining table, so it's not a salon-type setting, but I never have any problems with it. Ity makes sure that you feel comfortable and at ease in her chair, which I always do. I've had my brows done (both threading and waxing) at all sorts of different places in both San Francisco, CA and Houston, TX (my previous 2 homes), and without a doubt, I'd confidently state that I've had the best experience out of all of them with Ity.
