This is a solid restaurant where I've been a number of times as it's only a short walk from my hotel of choice (Novotel).
As for the food, from the times I've been, I've had the filet with balsamic and arugula, the stoofvlees (beef stew for us English speaking types) and most recently the Irish steak - all were very solid! Beer selection is great and the patio is a nice place to enjoy a summer night in Leuven. As with a number of other local restaurants, they bring complimentary olives to each table which is always a nice treat!
Service has always been good which can be tough to find in Belgium but be warned this place is definitely not cheap. Most dishes are around 15 to 20 euro which a number over 20 as well. Generally the quality is there however and it's worthwhile.
Overall, this is a good spot close to the train station to grab a bite and a beer - check it out if you're looking for something casual that still has good food and a nice atmosphere! read more
