The dead SUV and myself are on the way to Walmart to get a new battery. 11:30 pm Resurrected Nissan and myself are pulling out of the lot of Iceman Towing and on the way home. After a mechanic replaced the alternator and battery terminals, less than a week later, another breakdown. I called Iceman the next morning and he scooped it up and took it back to his shop. Now, although 40 miles away, the communication was as smooth and effective as the couple hours I spent with him just a few days before. I owe him a helluva lot more than he charged me. He first started saying, he can't take credit cards, then changed his story that his credit card reader is broken, then he said he would take whatever cash I had and charge the rest! Then when I challenged how that was possible if he can't take credit, he yelled and said "Give me your credit card"!!! He said "I've been screwed before by taking credit". The help number was completely useless and told me they can't help with lockouts on weekends. I got in touch with Bob, who responded within 10 minutes on a Saturday morning. I sent a photo of the lock to Bob and he was able to identify it as a high security lock that would not be openable without major damage to it. Bob went out of his way to contact apartment management through multiple phone calls, and got someone with a master key to help me out.
