She called and spoke with Austin yesterday to confirm. Not only did they not show up at 9 am, they did not call or return calls. Only texts from a brother making excuses. His brother and co-owner, Hunter blamed Austin and then FINALLY we got a call at 3 pm from Austin who said that they would make it right, also he was in Bay Minniette and that he would text his ETA. WE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN!! Time was taken off the work. And plans were made. All down the drain!

After conducting a thorough walkthrough of our property, he assured us that he would send over a detailed quote within a day or two. However, shortly after he left, we were surprised to hear the doorbell ring again. To my astonishment, Austin stood at the door, looking a bit flustered. He asked if I had any gasoline to spare, explaining that his truck had run out of fuel and wouldn't start. Since I had a container of gas in my garage meant for lawn equipment, I decided to help him out. I didn't want his truck blocking our driveway and making it difficult for us to get our cars in and out. Three days went by with no communication from Austin--no phone call, text, or email regarding the quote. I even reached out a few times, inquiring if he had been able to provide it, but I received no response. It was frustrating to experience such unprofessionalism after what seemed like a straightforward process. Complete waste of time! Do better Freedom Movers! We decided to go with Eastern Shore Transfers for our needs instead and would highly recommend them based on our experience!

They're apparently based out of North Carolina...so that's a bit disappointing. The guys showed up bright and early this morning and told me they were going to pick up 5 items (it was supposed to be 6) and this was the first indication of trouble ahead. The person that seemed in charge this morning didn't think his truck could get down the lane due to tree limbs and hanging telephone lines which is understandable, safety first right? So we walked down to the box truck (exactly the same size and design as the trucks that delivered our stuff in the first place, what a coincidence!) and I noticed that one lane was completely passible, but he said he couldn't bring the truck down and his boss was trying to call me. His boss (in North Carolina) asked me if there was a U-Haul nearby, so that I could rent a truck to ferry the furniture and appliances from the house to the truck. I replied that I wasn't aware of a U-Haul anywhere nearby. And as the appliances were upright full sized refrigerators, I didn't think that was going to be doable, and might remove the need for the big truck in the first place, so I told him that I didn't think we could do business. So his guys left. Hope they had a great breakfast. Too bad they didn't have a smaller box van with a lift gate, and too bad the men that showed up had a Can Don't attitude. As no money was exchanged there's no harm, no foul, but I have been hearing about this all day from my wife...oh well, I'll know better next time.

RUN. Do not use this moving company…read more The manager, Brian, sent two movers to help my mom move her furniture, and I was absolutely baffled by the attitude and treatment they gave her. My mom's beautiful furniture was damaged and thrown into the garage in a hurry. Before they even started moving, they argued with my mom about paying $180 per hour upfront. My mother eventually called me crying. Two men arrived, apparently decided the job was going to take too long, and then began slinging and throwing her belongings right in front of her. What kind of treatment and customer service is that? When my mom asked about the damaged furniture, she was simply told to call the claims department. This is heartbreaking. My mom is now left with her beautiful, new furniture damaged inside her home, with additional belongings sitting damaged in her garage, and she is left not knowing what to do next. There was no compassion, no accountability, and no sense of care for how this experience affected my mother. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. RUN!

I am a 65 year old disabled woman. When I called them to move us a person came out and went over…read morethe place and marked a list of what needed packed and moved. That was 3 months before we moved. I called several times for them to send me out boxes to hang my clothes. Never got those. She gave us a estimate of what it would cost. Between I think 1300 to a little over 1500. The day the move came the three men that came to move us wasn't aware of all they had to do. Even one of them said the paper she had was 3 months old. They didn't know they had packing to do also. They didn't bring enough supplies for the move. Had to get I think he was the manager to bring more supplies out. All this took more time. They were moving I think until 8 or 9 that night. The guys were wore out and tired . So by the time they got to our new place they just put things anywhere they could. They put things in my closet that I can't even get to still. Also my sister's closet is the same. Crammed in any way they could get it. They never ask me where I wanted things except my bed. They put my dresser in the wrong place and it's real heavy can't be moved now. Things that supposed to go in the living room is in my bedroom crammed in a corner. I can't get it out. They put the boxes in the livingroom and they have been hard to move and get in them. The guys did the best they could of what they had to work with. They didn't know they had to pack things. They weren't told by the person there was some packing to be done. My whole place is a mess. So I called and spoke to the manager in Mobile her name is Amanda. She called me back and I told her what went on and she said she would be out that Monday to fix things and move things that needed to be moved. She never called or showed up. So I called back later in the week asking to speak to her and they gave me excuses that she was on the phone . So I left a message for her to call. She has never called me back. They left my place in a mess. Also they said they had to charge me more because of the hours spent. About close to 900.00 more. So we ended up paying around 2300.00 for the move. It wasn't my fault they didn't get the correct information on my move. It is their fault for the extra hours, but I had to pay for it. They have not treated me right. Not coming out when she said and not calling me back at all. They just didn't care. They got their money and left. Is this how you treat your customers? I will never recommend your company to move anyone I know. And I will never get you to move me again if I have to. You should do better than this. My sister and I are just 2 older women and we needed your help to move. The girl told me before the move that I didn't need to worry about anything that they would take care of everything. They didn't. So I will sum it up. I have been very disappointed with this whole move and how I have been treated. This is my experience with Two men in a truck. Paula Gregory
