She cost my friend her son, she…read morecost another friend a reasonable divorce settlement, she cost me just about everything that a first year law student could have easily obtained in my divorce settlement. I later was able win something in appeals court with a new Attny but because Ms Kidd failed to enter basic particulars into evidence during my initial divorce trial, after I had argued multiple times to enter, i could not appeal for those particulars. Basic things such as shared equity in our long term home, retirement pension, of which even in a short term marraige the leaving spouse is entitled to a percentage that is typically determined by years of marraige. Time & time again I begged for the basics like temporary spousal support, & attorneys fees of which she would've obviously benefitted. The attorneys I consulted with & ultimately used moving forward had told me that I could have & (looking back now) should have filed a complaint with the NY State Barr Assoc. and also sued Ms Kidd for what I had should have been awarded in a simple settlement. At every turn I was scared about the outcome ahead but her constant reassurance ie manipulations led me blindly into an extremely unfavorable settlement. I had never been thru something like that & was wholly dependent on her guidance as my lawyer. It's been quite awhile that I've had to contemplate the outcome & I still hold her responsible. So this isn't blind anger anymore, this is the fair warning I truly wish I had been given.
