Good food and plenty of it I eat well like it or not everytime I ho there good memories with friends and family try you'll like it.

5 of us traveled to eat breakfast here. Several cars in the parking lot but it didn't seem busy inside the restaurant. They had a breakfast buffet which looked dried up and old. We decided to order off the menu. My husband and I ordered the farmers breakfast 3 eggs, ham, bacon or sausage, american potatoes with cheese and 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. OVER an hour later our breakfast arrived (YES 1 HOUR!) Our eggs were cold and the potatoes weren't cooked through. I stopped the waitress and explained the eggs were cold and potatoes weren't cook all the way.. she just looked at me then finally asked if I wanted them made again. I said yes and 20 minutes later the eggs arrived, another 10 minutes for potatoes. This is one of the times our drive to find a good "hole in the wall" breakfast didn't work out. So disappointing! read more

The other day, 4 of us went here for Mother's day brunch. We will not return! It is under new ownership with a new name now (Warrior Café), but the frontline employees (unsure about the backline ones) and the menu options are the same. At first I wanted to be positive, but after being at our table for 20 minutes and our waitress, Kathy, had still not stopped at our table, I was starting to get aggravated. Mind you that Kathy has worked there for years as a waitress. We have had her in the past as our waitress. She has almost always seemed to be grumpy or have a bad attitude, but she had always did her job, so I always overlooked her attitude. (Not everyone in customer service has to like me or have the best attitude, -in my mind everyone has a right to have a bad day- but they do need to do their job tho! Meanwhile some tables had cleared out and other new customers were seated nearby. Waitress Kathy visited them, got them drinks, and even took their orders. The hostess finally realized that she had not visited our table, and so he came by to speak with us, got us our drinks & took our orders. Near the hour mark, as more & more people were finishing and leaving, (including those that came after us) I believe the hostess realized the waitress was (blatantly) ignoring our table. He seemed to check backline for our food & spoke with the waitress, then came to clear a nearby table... i guess he was not happy with what he found! cuz he looked passed... but he didn't come say anything to us. By this time we were done with it all, we had given them more than enough of our time, we were leaving. We were patient & nice the whole time, we did not make a scene or been dramatic at all. But seeing his response just confirmed what we had suspected all along. So... we got up, as we walked past the hostess I handed him the money for the drinks, and we left. All without anyone saying a single word. So after this experience, we are done here and will never return. We will take our money and spend it elsewhere! read more

Nice solid consistently good home cooking. I've usually had breakfast, it always delivers.

Another hometown favorite. I've been coming here all my life with friends and family. Prices are reasonable and the food is pretty good. My go to is always a ham and cheese omelette with potatoes and pancakes. But if you're lucky, you'll come when they have Wisconsin cheddar soup...SO good! The staff is friendly as well as the environment. (Most people are regulars here because we live in such a small town, everyone knows everyone.) This is one of the only breakfast places in Winamac so when they see a unfamiliar face, you'll be treated well. read more

Name has changed to Warriors Cafe. I don't know about the history but this is a great restaurant. We ate at lunch time and my wife had a lunch entree while I chose something from their all day breakfast. The food was outstanding. The service was outstanding. We will make regular visits to this place. Cheery pie is delicious! read more

They have a nice $6 buffet breakfast with 5 or 6 choices. I decided to order from the menu--got a veggie omelet and fried potatoes for $7. Portion was huge, food was good (but had a bellyache rest of day, perhaps too greasy spoon?) Came out in a relatively decent time, maybe a little slow. Server checked in intermittently. Place seems "worn", tired. For a small town, the "vibe" did not appear warm & friendly. I'd eat here again but wouldn't rush to keep it on any list. read more

Reasonable food, low price. One slice of french toast really means a half of a piece of bread of french toasr; was surprised our portions were on the small side, but for the price, was just fine. read more

If you want to spend your entire day running to the toilet, eat here....greasiest food ever...everything is drenched in griddle oil.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food really is ok. Recommend their soups. Small town feel.

Have been eating breakfast at Kostas for years now, while visiting from Illinois, and yesterday I had my first taste of their Duke Burger. Embarrassingly enough to admit, my boyfriend and I are cheeseburger fanatics... this is the BEST BURGER we have ever had, hands down! We have been all over Chicagoland, and have even had the now legendary Kuma's Corner burgers... Kostas, you are the champ! Great place for breakfast and lunch. On weekends they serve a breakfast buffet filled with an assortment of home cooked food.

Cozy, friendly, classic Greek American diner just south of Winimac. We drove up here from Bass Lake for brunch one Sunday and was pleasantly surprised at how solid the food was. If you're looking for a plain old diner with a family atmosphere, this is a great place to stop. Pancakes are excellent! read more

As of 2013....Kosta's has recently completed an interior remodel with new, updated furniture. It looks refreshed, more stylish, and clean. The bathroom has not been redecorated, but maybe later... The breakfast buffet on the weekend is excellent ...and a half order of french toast and bacon is always EXCELLENT! They have great, smooth,mild coffee. Great family restaurant that Winamac is lucky to have. No smoking anymore, so that is no longer an issue. Note: Not open on Mondays. read more

Just had breakfast, order two eggs,American fries,sausage patty. Hash browns or they call it American fries were burn on top cold on bottom sausage patty looked and tasted like process meat. Eggs were ok. Services as of checking or filling coffee up from waitress did not happen. Table by us ask for jelly did not happen she had to get jelly off a table that left. Heard good things about this place but will not be to from out. read more

Love Kostas. The servers are very nice. In just one time being served for breakfast a new waitress had remembered that I drank regular and my friend drank decaf. I ordered the same thing I ordered the previous day. When she brought the order she remembered that I had asked for an extra service plate and brought it automatically the second visit. The offerings on this menu borderline on the hysterical. THere is so much to choose from at such good prices. I sat down and ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon expecting two soggy little patties on a small untoasted but. WIth a side of fries. The list price on the menu was 6.45. To my surprise I also received cup of delicious soup of the day with a rather large dinner roll. Gus knows how to deliver good food at a price that is downright unjust. Love his breakfast skillets in the mornings when we pass by. Nice guy, family run joint. Always fresh food and well prepared and presentable. We stop by everytime we pass through town. read more
