Location: It is located along Shalitzer Str. The interior is so pretty! I took a lot of pictures cause I felt I was teleported to Japan. There is secret garden but we sat inside cause it was raining a bit. Both were beautiful! Service: Amazing staff! They open at 12 and we arrived at 11:35. We asked if we can just wait inside and they said yes. The staff is very friendly and does not rush you. Food: all of what we ordered are delicious and tasty! No complains at all! BEEF PHO LOVE: the soup base is very tasty, the noodles are cooked perfectly, the beef are very tender and flavorful. TUNA STEAM: one of my favorites too! The tuna melts in your mouth, you don't even have to chew. The rice is cooked perfectly with a sauce that compliments the tuna. CRISPY TOFU ROLL: i was surprised cause the tofu has flavor in it and it was fried perfectly. LUNCH SET 5: this one has ashita rolls, 1 ebi nigiri, 1 maguro nigiri. All taste good, the nigiri were fresh. GREEN JUICE: my friend ordered this, she said it taste good. Price rating: 6/10 it is not bad at all! We spent $51 to everything we ate!! Everything I had was pretty good except the mushroom Maki which wasn't that good but still fine. My friend also got gyoza which were surprisingly good! As far as for ambiance...well let's say the affordable prices justify it. The menu cards have seen better days, the tables and chairs outside are a mix-and-match between cheap plastic chairs and old wooden tables and the service is not exceptional. Still though, good sushi, very fair prices and you don't wait long at all for the food to arrive.

One thing I didn't like was the fact that the rice of my inside out roll was quite loose and fell apart while I ate it. I mean it was still delicious (the eel was so soft and tender YUM!) but I'm used to different sushi. The salmon skin maki on the other hand was alright. The waiter were all friendly but slightly disoriented. They needed some time until I could order but to be fair: it was very crowded. Well... Since this place is super cheap I should give it 4 stars but I just can't. I am used to better sushi and better places and I am not sure if I will return here. Not because it's bad but it's quite far off from my place and I already have my favourite suhsi restaurants. If you are near by: Yeah why not! Once we decided what we wanted, we called and ordered (we needed to modify one item, and the online ordering didn't seem to provide that option). We were told it would be 45 minutes, and that's about how long it took to arrive. I'm no sushi connoisseur but I liked what I had. We ordered a peanut avo maki for me and a peanut avo cream cheese maki for my husband. The peanut was interesting but nice, though my husband said the rice wasn't vinegar-y enough for his liking. We also both had the nigiri inari, which we liked. Finally, my husband had the miso soup which was "OK," and I had the gemüse tempura roll without cream cheese, which was my favorite thing we had. The presentation of the delivery was nice, and they didn't screw up the order, which is a big plus. They gave us sweet and salty soy sauce, but there was no wasabi and only one small slice of ginger. All in all it was an enjoyable meal--I would put it at a solid 3.5 stars--but there were a few things "missing" that would have sealed the deal. I would probably order from here again, but I want to try out some other spots too.

This place is in the passage between the Sony Center and the train hall leading to the Arkaden. The Sushi Circle is horrible and expensive by comparison.

Also, Ishin is located on the 4th floor of a building on the Schlossstraße and has big glass windows, so you've got a pretty scenery outside - that is if you got a seat near the window! I ordered a Chirashi Donburi, which is essentially a bowl of freshly cooked rice with a little hint of vinegar and a lot of different raw fish (Sashimi) on top (I also got a geen tea on the house, which was nice). The fish tasted very very fresh and the rice was suuuper delicious. I was overall very happy with the meal. The only reason I am not giving the full five stars is that I wasn't really full after finishing and since the meal is 11€, I kind of expected to be quite full after. But that doesn't change the fact that the taste was superb and well, after all, sushi dishes are supposed to be light and healthy (which the Chirashi Don definitely was!).
