When you think of selling your home, your first thought is generally "I can do this myself and save…read morethe realtor fee." This is what I thought at first when I was naive. Not only would I NOT get help in "staging" my home for sale, but no publicity unless I paid for it, no professional guidance understanding and more importantly disclosing all necessary items and I would have the headache of rushing home after work or holding my own open house for people who were "just looking" and not even prequalified to buy my home. After I considered this option, I contacted Rick Turner with Remax. I could not believe the ideas that Rick had with staging my home. I knew to clean up and make it look nice but some of the ideas I had not considered really made a huge impact on "qualified" buyers. Rick brought qualified people to look at my home. Rick shared the importance of give and take with the selling price and negotiations. I could not have done this by myself without messing something up. Rick was there for me looking out for my best interest. Rick did such an effective job that he showed my home a total of 3 times including an open house and my property sold in the first two weeks. I want everyone who views this to know that Rick went out of his way to help me stage my home, price the home to sell and to have realistic expectations. The average home will sit on the market for about 90 days and mine was on the market for 14. The only complaint I had with Rick is that he made me find a new place to move to earlier than I had anticipated, I thought I would have had at least 45 days. Apparently, Rick was too efficient. I decided to go with Joe after meeting with a few agents because he had reached out to me a few times before I decided to list with an agent to sell my home. The first issue arose when I received a message from a neighbor who informed me they called the police because someone was in my home at 10:30 at night with a flashlight and the door was left open, this was also the same day of an inspection. I tried and failed to get ahold of Joe for three days who's phone was off. I called the office to find out what was going on and was put in touch with Dan. Dan informed me that Joe would not be working due to personal reasons and he would be taking care of my listing. Days went by and I had heard nothing so I called Dan to request to be released from my contract since Joe was gone, no one thought to inform me of this, and they were scrambling to cover everything (which Dan had expressed), he was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me raising his voice and yelling the details of the personal issues going on in their family, which I will not detail because it was very unprofessional of Dan to tell me, they are personal and I should have never been involved (I have never been spoken to this way by a "professional" or felt more disrespected) after repeatedly asking to be released from the contract he refused. Joe eventually came back to work and time after time I was unable to get ahold of him. After asking him the week prior twice to make sure there were not any appointments at the house on a certain weekend that we would be in town we were surprised by the buyer, their agent, and their whole family. We had another emergency issue the week before closing that I was also unable to get ahold of Joe for. To top off this experience Joe did not attend the closing for the full time but stopped by. I cannot imagine a worse experience.

He made sure he was with me every step of the way during my home buying process, even if it meant contacting me after hours and on weekends, which I greatly appreciated! He's easy to talk to and completely honest. I am also impressed with his professionalism when dealing with other unpleasant professionals. I remember him responding to a text of mine saying, "I like a challenge!" Lastly, because I work during the day, with only a 30 minute (if that) lunch break, Mick was willing to contact my loan officer and loan processor to help me get information on the status of my loan.
