Any parent who has toured daycares knows that's not always a given, and it's a small but telling sign of how seriously they take cleanliness. Safety is also a clear top priority: secure entry, age-appropriate equipment, and staff who are always alert and attentive. I never once had a moment of worry dropping my child off. The caregivers are what truly set this place apart. They're warm, patient, and clearly love what they do. They take the time to learn a child's personality, preferences, and routines within the first week. The daily activities and curriculum are thoughtfully put together, and it shows that this school takes early education seriously. They use the Creative Curriculum, a research-based program that does a wonderful job balancing structured learning with hands-on, play-based exploration. My child comes home having learned something new almost every day, and I love knowing that the approach behind it is intentional and proven. It's also worth noting that this school is a GROW NJ KIDS Rated program, which speaks volumes. That rating isn't easy to earn it reflects a demonstrated commitment to quality care, staff development, and child outcomes. As a parent, knowing the school has met those standards gives me real peace of mind.

I honestly would not recommend this school. My child attended here, and while there are a few good…read morethings, there are also a lot of concerns that parents should know about. The classrooms are often dirty, cluttered, and poorly maintained. What bothered me the most was the way some of the older teachers speak to and handle the children. and constantly telling children to "be quiet" instead of redirecting them appropriately. I honestly came a few times in the past to pick up. And heard rough talking It created an uncomfortable environment that did not feel warm or nurturing. A lot of families seem to stay mainly because they've been there for years and have relationships with the director and owner. But overall, the atmosphere and treatment of the children was disappointing and not what I expected from a preschool environment.

My daughters have been attending Apple Montessori School in Oakland for almost 3 years (oldest) and…read more2 years (youngest). We transferred my oldest from another school because the other school did not mesh well with her personality. The moment we moved her to AMS, almost instantly, my daughter fell in love with the environment and the warm staff so much that the struggle of getting her to go to school was no longer an issue. We find the activities and curriculum to be engaging, logical and incrementally challenging. The math bead system that they have introduced to my daughter is a gold standard for education. I know my daughters will be very well prepared for later years in school. I think, overall, the best aspect of AMS is the fact that Ms. Ferentinos knows exactly where both my daughters stand in their learning journey. She has a great plan in mind for both my daughters and I'm confident she will continue to challenge them. The assistants are equally as amazing. Its the little things they do that makes the experience even better. Ms. Buckley braiding my daughters hair makes my daughters feel so special. And its an absolute comfort to drop them off every morning because of Mrs. Dermos' and Ms. Rolos' warm bubbly personalities. During these difficult pandemic times, we've seen the school really step up their game and implement world class safety precautions. This really makes us feel comfortable with sending our girls to school. Even before the pandemic, they had all ready upgraded the schools with the large UV sanitation cabinet equipment. We're very pleased with the level of education provided by AMS and we're so lucky to have found this school!

There were some good teachers too that had a positive impact. Overall a very mixed experience, if all children are treated the same it would be a great school for kids.

I left her there on the first day not knowing anyone and my nerves were through the roof. Once I picked her up that day she was so excited about couldn't wait to go back (she never did that in the other school) When I tell you my daughter learned SO much it actually brings tears to my eyes, her teacher Mrs. Liz is the absolute BEST. The place is filled with friendly teachers & staff, all classrooms & facilities are SPOTLESS & most importantly it felt SAFE. I'm so sad my daughter is leaving the school to start kindergarten in the fall but let me just say they are BY FAR the best! Thank you TLE of FRANKLIN LAKES you have exceeded all of our expectations & we will forever thank you for everything! Milania & I will miss you!

We started them off slowly with half days and found that they asked to stay longer. The teachers are incredibly caring, attentive, and truly invested in his development. They truly understand toddlers and create a warm, nurturing environment where little ones feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. We've seen our little guy become more independent, confident, and curious every day, which has been so rewarding to watch. The Montessori approach is thoughtfully implemented, encouraging independence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. We've seen such amazing growth in our toddler. The school is also exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which gives us so much peace of mind. Everything feels organized, safe, and thoughtfully cared for. Communication with families is fantastic. We always feel informed, included, and supported, which makes a huge difference. The sense of community here is strong, and it really feels like an extension of our family. We're incredibly sad to be leaving as we're moving. It was honestly one of the hardest parts of our decision--Guidepost made it so difficult to go. That alone says so much about the impact it's had on our family. We're so grateful to have been part of this community and couldn't recommend it more highly!

Erika, Jessica, the lead guides in the classrooms, the floaters, and everyone we've interacted with have always left a positive impression on us. Our child is growing and learning so much from the guides at Guidepost. We've learned so much along the way about Montessori thanks to the team there, there are endless opportunities to meet other families and connect over events that happen every month, it has truly been a great experience for us. We were in a different school prior to Guidepost and I don't feel like it's even fair to compare the two. The care and thoughtfulness at Guidepost is different than anywhere else, the attention to details and how much our child has gained from Guidepost has been so impactful to watch. I'll also mention for any caregivers who have children with allergies or dietary restrictions - Guidepost is extremely thoughtful with our Vegan child. Whenever there are events, they go out of their way to tell us about them and make sure our child is included with a vegan option, they keep vegan treats when the class is having ice cream or cupcakes, the guides are constantly in contact with us about the snacks and substitutes that we can bring in, it's been a really wonderful experience compared to the last school we were in and we appreciate how thorough they have been with our family and always making sure our child is included.
