Although this time we only got to savor the coffee, we were able to hang out long enough to get a good sample of the local hospitality and ambiance. We found the Harriman's building occupied by friendly folks, some of whom remembered stories about one of our relatives from decades ago. They have a HUGE variety of coffee and non-coffee beverages as well as these incredible (and highly-coveted) caramel buns (I think that was what it was called) that are apparently available Saturday mornings only. We were fortunate enough to try one - only because the lovely people in front of us in line heard my husband was dying to try one and said they wouldn't order the last one so he could have it. One final note... they have an "apple caramel big train". I'd never heard of that drink before so ordered one. It was DELICIOUS. From what I could tell, it is something between a milkshake and a smoothie.
