After being referred by a family member, we hired Dave to paint our house and at the time (August 2015), we believed it to be a wonderful job. He said it should last 10 years. Well, in less than a year and a half the paint started lifting and since it was fall (2017) and too late to paint, I texted him. He said he would take a look and tackle it the following spring. I followed up with him in spring 2018, he made various appts. to come and see it all summer, but cancelled. We exchanged some texts to figure out the color since it was custom and he didn't remember what he had done. I understood that this would take time away from his money paying jobs so I wanted to be patient and kind to a small businessman. Finally, he made it out to see it, and said he wanted to fit us in that year. Nope. Earlier that summer, I even told him that I would purchase the paint, but he said he already had purchased it. I am not certain, but I think that this was untrue. Why would you purchase it if the date had not been set nor confirmed? Later, he said we would be first in line in 2019. And in the spring...nothing. No returns to my texts or calls. Ghosted. It's sad because my house is a Old Victorian and it gets a lot of attention and he couldn't have gotten so much business from me if he hadn't given me the run around and made it right. If you would like a short lasting paint job with little to no attempt to make it right, hire Krantz's, they won't disappoint you. read more

Dave is very unreliable and unprofessional. He gave me a quote and agreed to paint my house more than 12 months ago (and even told me he purchased the paint and would get the job done soon). He then delayed and didn't respond to my multiple phone calls and messages over the course of the summer. I ultimately hired someone else to do the job. read more

We had the exterior of our home painted by Krantz Painting a year ago, They do a very good job with actual painting. They were very neat and courteous. We had to have some repairs done and Dave, the owner, had someone come over to make these repairs. He did a great job! Unfortunately, I can only give Krantz Painting 2 stars. They painted our garage floor, with the guarantee that it would not peel or chip. Within 2 weeks the paint began to peel. We left numerous messages with Dave requesting him to correct this situation. He never returned our calls. I also saw him at a grocery store and he said he would come over to look at it. He never came. He also left some boards which he said he would come back to clean up. He never came to get them. In my opinion, you can to a excellent job, but if you do not follow through, the excellent job becomes mediocre. So if follow up is not important to you, by all means, hire Krantz Painting. If you want to be able to have your calls answered and promises kept, look for another company. read more
