Fall, Lovers, here is why your next Pumpkin Farm visit needs to be at Milburn Orchard. Plenty of…read morefun stuff for the kiddos such as Pony Rides, Animal Feeding, Playground with Swings, Hayrides, Stackable Hay to Climb, Apple picking (additional fee), Corn Mazes and so much more. Customer Service-It was great!! All of the staff that we encountered were nice and helpful. Food *Apple Cider Donuts- THE BEST!!! Hands Down!!! I've been to a lot of pumpkin farms but baaaaaaby I have never tasted ACD like this. They had a nice crisp crunch on the outside and were soft on the inside. Oh, and they were HOT and FRESH!!!! *Caramel Apple Cider Donut Sundae-THE BEST!!! HANDS DOWN!!!! This is available at The Deck and you need to make sure you get one or maybe two because you won't want to share. Delicious vanilla ice cream at the bottom, apple cider donut. Then another layer of ice cream, topped with whipped cream and then a full donut and a caramel drizzle on top. You want one yet? *Freshly Squeezed Lemonade-It was loaded with bees around, but its delicious. Add Strawberry flavor and thank me later. *Kettle Korn-Popped Fresh on site, again hot and delicious Ambiance-Fall vibes Plenty of places for photo ops. Parking-Plenty of Free Parking on the lot

I think it's a cut above many orchards. It's definitely an experience. We go at least twice a year…read more It is very family-friendly. There is so much to do for kids--feeding the baby farm animals and the games. I love the market with all of the fresh produce, baked goods and sauces/spices. They also have scheduled seasonal events. I believe they lost their apple crop this year due to weather but it looks like there will still be many fun activities and the market availability starting June 5. I highly recommend a trip to Milburn Orchards.

But seriously go to the Newark Farmers market and compare the produce selection and prices to your regular grocery store. If shocked me a lot. The other parts of the market are amazing too for Asian and Mexican items that you don't see in regular stores. it's a really great place

Fantastic selection, so much frozen food as well which makes it even better than other markets with international foods. Easy check-out experience as well, which wasn't always true in the past and one reason I stopped going. Put this place on your rotation and you won't be disappointed, a must-visit in the area! Star off for seeing a few products from different countries without ANY labels in English. I don't know if this is even technically legal in Delaware, maybe someone can let me know since I routinely shop in 5 different states and can't keep up. When I lived in England for sure they had to print out labels in English to stick onto food packages if there was no English already printed on them----and basic nutrition info as well (like our RDA's... this was like 20 yrs ago I'm only guessing this is still true). Seems reasonable, and the products I often saw with these labels were still inexpensive at warehouse-style stores in England. What about allergies? Or just knowing what the main ingredients are?

It's both a shopping and a cultural experience…read more This is one of the best Amish markets that I've been to. The choices are boffo. There's hot & cold prepared Amish foods and continental foods; butcher; dairy store; green grocer; bulk dried & jarred goods; and arts & crafts--all in one place. Here's my favorites: Smucker's Pretzels: Original pretzels and smokey cheezers (pigs-in-a-blanket). Made fresh throughout the day. Stoltzbus BBQ: Fried chicken, smoked ribs, and beef stew. Esh's Produce: Any fruit or vegetable from here is excellent. A & R Bakery: The cheesecake offerings are impressive; there's individual slices, half and whole cheesecakes. There's literally a wall of all types of cakes and pies, along with multiple shelves filled with cookies, donuts, breads, baked treats. There's plenty of free parking and public restrooms. Near closing time, local folks come pouring in here to get dinner and it becomes animated. Open 3 days a week; only operates during daytime hours. Vendors begin to put things away about 30 minutes ahead of end of business. Don't miss out by showing up at the last minute.
