Fantastic selection, so much frozen food as well which makes it even better than other markets with international foods. Easy check-out experience as well, which wasn't always true in the past and one reason I stopped going. Put this place on your rotation and you won't be disappointed, a must-visit in the area! Star off for seeing a few products from different countries without ANY labels in English. I don't know if this is even technically legal in Delaware, maybe someone can let me know since I routinely shop in 5 different states and can't keep up. When I lived in England for sure they had to print out labels in English to stick onto food packages if there was no English already printed on them----and basic nutrition info as well (like our RDA's... this was like 20 yrs ago I'm only guessing this is still true). Seems reasonable, and the products I often saw with these labels were still inexpensive at warehouse-style stores in England. What about allergies? Or just knowing what the main ingredients are?

There's hot & cold prepared Amish foods and continental foods; butcher; dairy store; green grocer; bulk dried & jarred goods; and arts & crafts--all in one place. Here's my favorites: Smucker's Pretzels: Original pretzels and smokey cheezers (pigs-in-a-blanket). Made fresh throughout the day. Stoltzbus BBQ: Fried chicken, smoked ribs, and beef stew. Esh's Produce: Any fruit or vegetable from here is excellent. A & R Bakery: The cheesecake offerings are impressive; there's individual slices, half and whole cheesecakes. There's literally a wall of all types of cakes and pies, along with multiple shelves filled with cookies, donuts, breads, baked treats. There's plenty of free parking and public restrooms. Near closing time, local folks come pouring in here to get dinner and it becomes animated. Open 3 days a week; only operates during daytime hours. Vendors begin to put things away about 30 minutes ahead of end of business. Don't miss out by showing up at the last minute.

I was having some doubts a week or two ago about the place when a vendor said the tomatoes were from a different farm, and I'm still a little unsure about the bread, but the produce options just keep multiplying - people are bringing in stuff from their own gardens, it looks like, and it's really intriguing. Tried again because I wanted fresh butternut squash and mushrooms. Picked through the mushrooms to find a pack that was half way decent. They were all fuzzy looking like they are old. Bought a few onions, a pack of mushrooms and some squash. Got home the mushrooms were slimy and gross inside. The onions were molded under the skin. Good thing is I could save those by peeling the molded layers off. The mushrooms were no good. They advertise cotton candy grapes and had 2 bags sitting out with rotten grapes in them. As expensive as this produce is it should be fresh not old, moldy, wilted and unusable.

I used to get my flower baskets there but they have marked them up so high like Leon's across the street. I would always buy 12 hanging plants. Now I go to Lancaster to get my hanging flowers as they are never over 15.00. They have lost me buying flowers from them anymore & I still get some fruits & vegetables but not as much as it goes bad too fast. They need to go back to what they were doing when they first started out. Many people I know have stopped going to them due to this. Extremely nice people though.
