I honestly and absolutely felt NO pain!!! It was truly unbelievable the quickness of my recovery which was so unexpected. Dr. Wu is professional yet kind and charismatic, he wears a genuine smile and he's such a pleasure to talk to. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease removing any anxiety one may have with the thought of acupuncture. I have now returned for a new issue after all of these years. Dr. Wu remembered me and he was the same as I remembered him. He assessed me and confirmed my suspicion of sciatica. After the assessment, he honestly told me that sciatica is hard to treat but he would work on me. He suggested a treatment of cupping and acupuncture. I agreed and am pleased with the result of lessened pain and the ability to walk without feeling the shooting pain from my lower back down my leg. Dr. Wu suggested 3 treatments total and I'm looking forward to seeing him again soon. I'll be back with an update after my next visit .

He told me, "That stuff's amazing! The best guy I know is on Shepherd..." I cut him off for both of us to harmonize, "Dr. Wu!!!" And then we had a moment, mainly with him saying, "I told you so..." I have multiple autoimmune diagnoses which were causing my entire body to stop working properly. I was at a point where I was almost completely disabled. Dr. Wu is nothing short of a miracle for me. This review is overdue but it's hard not to write a book here, so I'll be brief. I went in for something small, not expecting much. But 4 months later, I had gotten my life back. I have many things that I have to do to keep my autoimmune disorder in check, but acupuncture is the one thing that I cannot do without. And when I went in, it was for foot and tailbone pain, not autoimmune issues. I want to reiterate: I went in with no idea what would happen. Two weeks of appointments, the incredible progress started, systemwide. A few months later, I still don't know what happened. But, when I don't go, I can literally feel the pain and lethargy crawl back. I respond well to acupuncture. You may not get the results that I did. But, if you're not responding well to traditional medicine and have chronic nagging issues (inflammation, pain, malabsorption, mysterious diagnoses), I suggest you try acupuncture with Dr. Wu for at least a month, preferably two. I asked the NP Ashley if that was harmful , to which she replied "I'm not sure, but better safe than sorry." Which was a little unsettling for me. I thought to myself "You don't know...?" Moving on to my next concern...I have spent well over $2,000.00 for testing and 2 appointments with KALE, I was prescribed supplements for my gut issue, picked them up and started taking them a month ago. After taking my supplements for a month, I received a phone call a few days ago saying they prescribed me the wrong supplement and that I need to order a different one instead. Well, of course this raised another red flag because I'm pregnant and there are MANY things I cannot take while pregnant. I asked if there were any negative side effects to taking this supplement while pregnant that could harm the baby - and the guy on the phone was not sure and would have to ask the doctor. So I looked it up online and It is NOT recommended for women while pregnant. Received a phone call back and he informed me it was ok.....Are you guys just trying to save your ass? The third issue that arises is that I have food sensitivity to beef and they told me to put beef tallow on my face for skin issues I'm encountering. Mind you, this was prescribed before the results came in...but does no one go over the files of their patient to make sure things are still copacetic after results are in? I'm just dumbfounded. I don't even know if it would affect me the same as ingesting it, but geez. Come on guys. I really wanted to like this place. I understand we are human and all make mistakes, but these are not small mistakes especially when a woman is carrying another life inside of her. They grow microgreens for some of the restaurants around the heights, and have "pick your own" vegetables where you walk down the crop rows and you can hand pick out which veggies you want to buy and then the owner cuts them fresh from the plant for you! They said everything was Organic as well! They also have greenhouses with some weird specialty plants that I haven't seen for sale anywhere else in town, including Buchannan's. One of the greenhouses is a mini cactus botanical garden with all of the plants identified, and there were some really cool cactus in there I've never seen before. I bought some fresh Cilantro and some Thai Peppers to make fajitas with tonight, and a little succulent for my wife! Definitely will be looking more plants here in the future.
