UNRESOLVED AND EXHAUSTED: The owner of Kreative Kennels has gone through great lengths to write letters to my credit card company, falsifying information yet, didn't lift a finger to try and resolve this with us. His lies include: dog's tooth was not broken when he was sent to us (even though a vet examined him on arrival), Dog was not sick when he was sent (poor animal has had daily diarrhea for 6 months) painted us, the Buyers, in a negative light saying we were trying to make this dog look like a monster to get a free dog. This has been a terrible experience. The Dog is slowly learning how to behave in society. I'm convinced he will become more civilized than the owner of Kreative Kennels. read more

We purchased a German Shepard and my dogs name was Gerit. He was shipped to us from CA. When he arrived he was covered in dog feces, however I felt that was due to the long cross country trip from CA to NJ. As the months passed the dog become very aggressive to the point where he attacked my daughter numerous times. We had the President of the local German Shepard club come by to check on the dog and he too was attacked even while we held the leash. At this point we felt we could no longer deal with this dog. I contacted Mike and said I had to send him back which I did. When we brought him to the airport to ship him back the dog became so violent in the crate that United airlines refused to take him on the plane. I told them I will leave the dog there if they don't take the dog. Finally they took dog. I was supposed to have my create sent back which they never did and they wouldn't reimburse me me money for the dog. As dog lovers we called numerous times to make sure the dog was ok. We never got answers. I don't know how it all emended up. I would tell anyone who reads this to stay clear. Buyer beware. read more

I can't say enough about how much my husband and I appreciate Nicolle and the Kreative Kennels staff. We are from Hawaii, and to import dogs here from the mainland can be a real pain. We purchased two female German Shepherds from them. Due to Hawaii's importation/rabies laws it took about 90 days to finally receive them. They kept us updated with the rabies vaccines and the titer test. We cannot be happier with the pups. They are beautiful and adorable girls. We were extremely happy with their customer service and they let the dogs play together so they would be used to each other to help with the transition to their new home. They also sent us videos so we could see the pups. What impressed us was that they continued the pups training during this period. When I was ready to get a new dog, I called and said what I was looking for. They evaluated the litter I was looking at, sent video and help make my decision. I can't be happier Quan of kreative OFA H/E DM neg is truly a spectacular dog everything I could ask for he is working IPG, sheep herding, fast cast (lure coursing just for the fun). We adopted Jazz of Kreative, a low-drive, "family pet", gorgeous female GSD that was born on Dec 20, 2016 at Kreative Kennels. A family originally bought her from Kreative along with a high-drive female. The high-drive female was attacking Jazz, so the family eventually asked a rescue org to rehome her. The rescue called Kreative to find out about her training/general history. Kreative refused to talk to the rescue. Jazz was adopted by a family and immediately started aggressively guarding the mom against the dad. They immediately gave her back to the rescue. My family adopted Jazz on April 23, 2019, knowing she had guarding issues, very nervous pacing, and circling issues, and generally only bonded with one person. I was her chosen person. She started aggressively guarding me against my husband, and two adult daughters. We were committed to helping her through her issues. After a few weeks, she bit both daughters. Our vet prescribed Prozac and valium. Last week Jazz bit a daughter again. I left a message with Kreative asking what age Jazz was when sold. They never called back. Two trainers and both our vets recommended euthanizing her. We struggled with the decision!!! Jazz was so nervous even on meds, all the time. Guarding all the time! We put our beautiful Jazz to sleep on Monday, August 26, 2019. We are heartbroken but supported by vets, trainers, and the rescue. I would strongly recommend not buying a "family" GSD from Kreative Kennels. They will not contact you after the sale if you're having issues or just asking questions!!! Very poor business and irresponsible breeding practices. read more

I am on my second dog from Kreative. My first dog is an intuitive, tolerant, wicked smart, gorgeous and worshiped member of our family. We now have a new 9 week old puppy. I have had nothing, I mean nothing, but the most amazing, positive, responsive, and responsible treatment from Kreative. What I find incredibly interesting about the negative "reviews" below, is that in many of them, the reviewer can't even spell the fucking name of the breed of dog they just purchased. Kind've a dead giveaway that something is fishy. Also a bit odd to expect a dog that's been in a car all day, or on a plane all day, to be in pristine condition. If these people were so concerned about the condition of their puppies, then get your lazy asses off the couch and pick your own damn dog up yourself. Unfortunately the laymen hasn't a clue about the true working line GSD, which becomes incredibly transparent through the ignorance of some of these reviews. Not caveat emptor, as some are saying, but rather cave canem, which is the whole point of shopping for a pup here! If you want a soft, vacant, lapdog, find something that ends in "doodle." read more

I purchased a 2 yr old german shepard from kreative kennel 4 years ago. She was considered a green dog.. She is a great dog but just recently she has been diagnosed with severe hip dysplagia, both hips. I am totally devastated by this and now I don't know what to do. I had asked Gregg if her hips were ok but they hadn't checked. This is such an awful development I suppose it is something I should have insisted on before I purchased her. Bought my puppy from Kreative a little over a year ago. I couldn't be any happier with the service and personality of my now 1 year old. He was naturally protective of the car and house. Going to work with the dog and shoot for a SchH and SchI to start with. Dog has great temperament, quick learner and is okay with strangers only after a proper introduction. I visited Kreative and left feeling very disturbed regarding the care and treatment of these dogs. Maybe it's the norm for the DDR dogs I don't know, maybe it's the norm for kennel dogs, but they look unhealthy. Their coats are not shinny, they just don't look well fed. The trainers seem very nice and knowledgeable about training and the dogs they brought out, for me to view, seemed to like them, or maybe they were just glad to be outside in the sunshine and fresh air. My question is how often do these dogs get out to run and really be dogs??? When their not being trained, their in pens. One that I looked at was almost 3 yrs and had always been kenneled. All I could think about, was this poor animal and what he had endured in his life. He had never known companionship, love, taken for a nice walk, bathed, brushed and just played with, just to play, just Very Very Sad. In my personal opinion, there is no real caringt put into these animals, I'm convinced.... it's all about money. I would never recommend these animals for a family, their more for K9 use. That is, once they've been cleaned up and fed good for a few months. I know I was very depressed all day, I couldn't get these dogs off my mind and it's still disturbing. I don't recommend visiting this Kennel for family or protection. Find a breeder that has dogs on a much smaller scale and is socialized and cared for properly. J read more

This kennel specializes in German Shepherd Dogs and are trained for protection, sports, and family. I bought my first dog from here, and they were great. I would call them constantly with questions about german shepherds and caring for them. They were always very friends and more than willing to answer my questions. When we went to the kennel, they put on a little demonstration of what their dogs are capable, very impressive work. When I finally got my dog, they let me pick first and made sure that I was exactly what I wanted in my dog, from looks to personality to temperament, they go over all aspects when picking a dog that is right for you. Very professional and approachable, I highly recommend Kreative Kennels if you are interested in purchasing a REAL GERMAN SHEPHERD. Pricing is high but fair for such high quality dogs. When I bought my dog it was the cutest thing that turned in a protective dog, I feel like I got the best dog money can buy thanks to these guys, and my dog has not disappointed me in anyway and I am going on two years of owning him. Kreative Kennels is like no other! I told them I wanted to buy a female family dog and made an appointment. When my family and I arrived, the manager listened to what we wanted, asked some questions then selected 5 dogs for us to see, one after the other, each about 1-3 years old. We got to play with each one in their soccer-field-sized lawn. The dog we ended up buying is amazing. Very sweet, loving, NO house accidents (they come crate trained only, but with a little bit of work we were able to train her fast), good on the leash, quiet at night sleeping happily in her crate, no needless barking outside in her dog run and a good companion to our current dog. They really get to know their dogs because they are trying to train them to be protection/police dogs etc. and they realize that some of them are just not cut out for that so they sell them as family companions. They were very honest about each dog (e.g. this one is a barker etc). I believe my dog would defend me if need be now that we are bonded. I also think this dog is the most beautiful creature! My story ends in heartbreak. Do not think you can just be a regular person and purchase a finished personal protection dog here. You better be a professional, with a professional kennel and the ability to do consistent bite work. They do not always assimilate into a regular home life. I purchased a finished dog and made it clear I had no training with this type of work. I have owned dogs all my life including several German Shepards. I spent a bunch on the dog and sessions after the purchase learning as best I could. Everything was fine until it went bad and the dog attacked me. When I purchased the owner Mike said the dog would never attack me unless I hit it with a two by four. Mike you are incorrect and the scars on my arm prove it. Ultimately you are dealing with an animal and you never know. When I texted and called for help with this situation I got a text from the manager that they would call me with a plan. No one ever called me and they ignored me. I had no choice but to put the dog down and I communicated that. I did not expect them to do anything for free and just needed their expertise in handling the dog until we could resolve the situation. When I purchased the dog, they promised they would always have my back and would help me. Not the case when it went bad. At the end of this I was left with a $20,000 hole in my wallet, a broken heart as the dog and I were very bonded and several holes in my arm and a trip to the er. Prior to this incident the team had always been kind and helpful. It was very confusing to me. So disappointed and I doubt I will ever have the courage to own a large dog again. You have scarred me for life. read more
