Kreepy Halloween is an off-shoot of Glendale Halloween apparently. This store is located off of Riverside Dr. & Woodman Ave. in Sherman Oaks. It's a big store dedicated to all things Halloween and Christmas, which is a weird mix but whatevers. There's hardly any circulation inside the store and it doesn't help that everything smells musty, which tracks considering how old the costumes are. There's a decent selection of everything you could possibly be looking for, but they're outdated and it feels like someone's trying to offload a bunch of things they've been keeping in storage. Overall if you don't want to shop online and want to look at Halloween things in-person, it might be worth a look. The name of the store is indeed Kreepy Halloween, for some reason it's still listed as Glendale Halloween, because it's affiliated with the original Glendale Halloween Store, their former flagship location which makes finding it extra online confusing. Even their website lists this location as Kreepy Halloween... But they updated everything... I get using the same domain name, but there's ways to make it easy to find or navigate... "Kreep Halloween - Sherman Oaks" but use the same everything else. It's a huge emporium of all things costume, cosplay and halloween from awesome wigs and accessories to incredible masks, props, replica weapons and beyond. There's sections and areas for all ages, sizes and genders. Outstanding holiday decor from the moment you cross the threshold and are greeted by their friendly security and/or helpful staff. I wanted to check out the lay of the land, this being the former Joann's (Fabrics, before they went out of business) and often a Spirit Halloween location prior to that. Honestly enjoyed Kreepy Halloween and while it was a little chaotic, over packed with product and the week of all hallow's eve, everyone does their part to assist and keep this store up. A lot of the Joann's signs are still up and/or very visible, which is to be expected with such a short turnaround time. I believe this store physically opened here in August and additionally there is a Kreepy Halloween in Los Feliz as of October, second location. Customer service is personable for sure, however the line was a little confusing with not the best clear signs to guide you or markers to let you know where the line physically starts. They had me go up past the first few registers not in use to just behind a gap where employees enter and exit... I made sure there was room and didn't stand in the way of the opening, but no indicators, marks or instruction for this that I could noticeably see... Other than that, they did have up to four to five registers open and the line moved quickly. I'm actually blown away by this place. There is SO much to explore! They have ALL of your Halloween needs. Tons of costume options If you get easily overstimulated or are sensitive to loud noises, maybe not the best place to shop. I came in here looking for a very specific costume and I had plenty of options to choose from, however they didn't have a lot of sizes of each particular style. The customer service was good and the changing room was easy to find and clean. I loved their selection of accessories and wigs. They had lots of options for tights but again, not a lot of variety in the sizes. Prices can be a little steep, but if you are in a pinch and need that halloween costume stat, you will be set! What a random Halloween store. I guess Joann's shut down very quick. I remember it like it was yesterday when Joann's changed location to this spot and now it's gone. Tough times. Creepy Halloween now takes this place, and it's okay. There are two floors to this location, but only one is used. It looks like they need the space too because everything is on the first floor and is all bunched up together. It feels congested, and there's stuff everywhere you turn. This over-crowding of items makes it hard to look for anything because your eyes are just overwhelmed by so much going on everywhere. They have a lot of costumes and a lot of stuff for sure, but it's so overwhelming you don't really want to look. This store is the definition of it is not always a good thing to have so much stuff. But If you are going to have so much stuff, at least use both floors and separate them. It would be good if the first floor utilized the animatronics and costumes while the second floor utilized all other Halloween goodies like decor and toys for the costumes, perhaps even the shirts and weird collectables. The first floor even had dead ends because of so much stuff blocking paths. As for price, it seems like everything here is about 5 bucks higher than other places, but then again, I've only gone to Spirit so far, but the stuff I did see was a bit higher in the price range. No Spirits are open yet so it's great to just wander around and pretend it's Fall in LA. They just opened, cut them some slack!

First time coming here and last. I went in October 2024. I was immediately followed around the store. There was one section near the entrance to the mall (near the overpriced Hello Kitty stuff). A man almost immediately ran over, scaring me, and started talking on his walkie-talkie, calling more people over. While staring at me, I was so confused. I never did anything wrong. I just walked through the store, which was filled with dollar store items and priced way higher. I literally had to say at one point. "Why are you following me?" to a worker, and he just looked at me, shocked?, and started scurrying away to that same man who had ran over to me. Definitely do not recommend this place if you're Hispanic, and I'm saying that because I only noticed them targeting Hispanics. read more

This Halloween store has EVERYTHING anyone could ask for. The selection of costumes is unreal, ranging from women's, men's, and kids. I was able to find a costume easily, as they let you try on costumes in their fitting rooms. I've seen costumes that I've never seen anywhere else. They also have a free walk through maze in the back of the store! It's filled with different animatronic's and feels like you're at Halloween Horror nights. It was super cute seeing all ages enjoy the maze and gaze at the detailed animatronic's as you can't find them anywhere else. Customer service is also amazing. Asked for the price on an unmarked costume was told it was $60 so when I asked why another costume of the same line was marked $20 he grabbed it from me and said it wasn't $20 and it was also $60. He then explained to us in a very egotistical manner that anywhere we go women's costumes will start at $30. Very unprofessional and rude. I used to sell vintage costumes and know that's simply not true. Could've been nicer about it or honored the price. I love Glendale Halloween! Once September rolls around, you know the Halloween shop is about to open. just sucks once November is here and you know you have to wait another year for them to come back. Kinda makes you wish they were open all year long. That might just because I've been going here for years and it never disappoints. The shop is overall your typical Halloween place, but there's just something about them that just has that extra "Umph". Besides costumes, they also have decorations, props, masks. make up and inflatables. My personal favorite is the maze they put up every year. It was sad they didn't open in 2020, but glad they did the year later. What I needed wasn't actually for Halloween but rather a video that was being shot, so I don't know if I'll get a chance to get back in but pushed back up to 3 stars due to prompt attention from the owner once the first review went up. ------------------ This location appears permanently closed. The website should reflect that and does not. I was pretty unhappy spending a lot of time looking for it in the very complicated shopping center only to eventually find an empty building. Went to every Spirit Halloween Store and Party City searching for costumes, but the selection is always the same and very limited. Thank goodness for Glendale Halloween!!! There are endless amounts of men, women, and kids costumes to choose from, and they have all the accessories to go along with it. I noticed there's a slight markup on everything, but that's just how it is when they have products in inventory that nobody else has. I definitely think the price is worth the convenience! Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Most costumes have been worn already or picked through so they are missing accessories, props, etc. They sold my boyfriend a costume that the leather straps were peeling and crumbling like it had been worn like 5 times already and wouldn't let him return it the same day. You can't sell this secondhand trash and not give refunds... they are just scamming people. My costume was sold to me without 4 of the 6 pieces but luckily they gave me a discount. Stay away from this place. HUGE disappointment. Also when we went to make the return there were several other people attempting to make returns for the same reason (missing parts, etc.). So shameful.
