I have been wanted to go to this place and today I finally did. The store is open weekends only from one to 6 and the staff is super friendly. As you first drive in the parking is located at the back of the building. To get to the parking. You have to drive between two building. There is plenty of parking. Once you enter the building. The decorations are pretty neat. The tattoo parlor is to your left. It is an interesting place to visit because of the decor. I saw old fashion dolls around. It was diferent. The store is to the right side. No photography allowed inside (bummer) inside is a store. An odd type of store. Is like stuff that was left from a freak show back in the day. It is really earie. I felt like I was in American Horror Story Carnival. It was very cool. They have a sign at the entrance. The sign reads something like browsing is welcome and that donations are appreciated. Not exactly on those words lol. So if you are browsing like me. You might want to bring a few dollars. read more

unsatisfied and felt lied to I booked this appointment 3 months in advance with a clearance on size, reference, and placement with Rafael and his assistant. Upon arrival Rafael drew something up to his liking of my reference but it was completely different than what I was expecting. In minor shock I was silent. I have two full stomach tattoos, 3 portraits, a half leg sleeve, and a back neck tattoo all done by differing artist and none have ever changed what i wanted so drastically. Rafael felt my vibe being off and then offered me to work with him on what we could do. Not dead set on the tattoo I originally showed him 3 months in advance I asked if he did portraits as I would like one more. He pointed to one that I already had and blatantly asked "why don't you just go back to that artist?". Once again I was taken aback by the comment. After discussing not doing another tattoo we set back on track for the original reference and idea I provided. He drew something much closer to what I wanted but I asked for more detail. He assured me there would be more detail in the actual tattoo than in the drawing. He also assured me that the sizing wasn't an issue and would connect to my other tattoos. After he was 'finished' neither promises were kept. The tattoo looks unfinished in detailing especially in comparison to what I asked for and in the look of my tattoo style. The tattoo also does not fade into my other tattoo shading. This is so disappointing as he had an apprentice with him who was listening to Rafael call himself extremely talented and gifted and naturally amazing at tattooing. This also left me so unsatisfied I decided to pay and leave as he did not want to (or could not) do what I asked for. I will now have to spend more money with a different artist to finish what he started. read more

Was here on 10/9/2016 with two friends for one friend's first tattoo. We came here by recommendation of a bartender from Louie Bossi in Las Olas. We were admiring his tattoo and he said to go see Anthony at Kreepy Tiki. We called and he was working that day. We walked in and after looking around, my friend decided on her tattoo. Something small and dainty. Anthony was very patient and super cool with us. As he finished with her tattoo, my other friend decided to get the same tattoo in a different body area. Lounging around in Lauderdale biker bars, roaming the beaches and the streets of Lauderdale I get to see plenty of inked skin; everything from the womanly backside now out of fashion tramp stamp, the tribal arm, leg or shoulder décor, the Harley emblem, the skulls, snakes and dragons, the belly button stars, right on own to what is now because of age, the malformed skirt raised lady sported by a few of the surviving old time Navy sailors of WWII vintage. Amongst them, I've seen some horrid examples, generally the atrocious but laughable misspelling or misuse of a word such as under a depiction of a girl the words "My deerest," or much, much worse when the tattoo artist doesn't know a "pea" from a "pee" and somehow tattoos her as being his "Sweet Pee." Great grief! Having to sport something like that piece of idiocy for the rest of my life wouldn't be fun. However, to the point of this review, I've had the good opportunity to observe both the tattoo art work and the tattooing process at Kreepy Tiki Tattoos and it is the best, cleanest, most clearly defined and well done that I've seen anywhere. True, I have no personal experience at it, but I do know what I see and what I have seen has really been top notch. It's not only that, but in observing the various tattoo artists here, I've noted their friendliness, their good approach to their customers and the pride they take in their works. read more

I had a design tucked in my wallet and after passing by Kreepy Tiki on my way to the hotel, I decided to make an appointment. The parlor itself is very cute, just about everything you'd expect in decor for a Tiki themed tat place. Josh Cabrera was my artist and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Josh was professional, considerate and added his touch to my design in a way that made it even better than It looked on paper. Josh also touched up my finger tattoo at no additional cost. Of all the tattoo artists in Florida, I was incredibly lucky that I chose one who was a perfect gentleman. If you are in this part of town I highly recommend Kreepy Tiki if you'd like to get some great ink. The shop is clean, the décor is vintage, the music was spot on, and theres a nice bar adjoining the shop, which is a nice touch. Tony Logan performed the work. I walked in on a Friday with an idea, and after a quick meeting with the artist, the idea quickly materialized into a much more concrete image. I lucked out and was able to grab an appointment to sit down and ink the next day. Not only was I fully satisfied with the tattoo I was getting, I was already planning the next tattoo that I will get here. I'd recommend this shop to the first timer, to the veteran looking for something simple or for anyone looking for something time consuming and involving intricate detail. The amazing artists here will make you feel right at home. This shop also happens to be one of the biggest shops I've been inside, and also one of the cleanest. Anthony was amazing to work with! I needed a cover up done and had a couple of ideas of what I wanted. He was honest about what would work and educated us on why certain designs wouldn't. In the end he designed a custom piece that was absolutely perfect. He is a pretty funny guy and made the sittings a breeze. All in all, he is passionate about what he does and takes the time to properly educate his customers as opposed to just saying "No" or " That's a bad idea".
