Love! Love! Lovvvve! This place! When I had Frankie (my last little guy) I sadly only went here a…read morefew times & it's a tad pricey so I never spent a ton there. Fast forward to today & I have Alfie. So this next part is gonna be kind of mushy, I apologize in advance lol. When I got Alfie, I decided to research different foods, treats, etc that would be the best for him. I did the same for Frankie, but part of me feels like I failed him and after he passed last year, I thought, maybe if I had done more research, I could have found a better food for him that maybe would have helped his health and he wouldn't have passed away. I know that's crazy because he passed from congestive heart failure & kidney failure is what eventually took him. Still, me being me, I will always wonder if there was something could have done to maybe have prevented his health issues. He was 11 1/2, so I mean, he was older but little ones last longer than bigger ones! At least that's what I've been told my entire life lol. I thought Frankie and I would grow old together lol. I have Alfie now and I am above and beyond grateful for my little dude. So I've done the food research and have him on a certain food. Insanely expensive lol, especially for the amount and naturally, he loves it. It's a raw diet tho. So I have found another food, a kibble, he isn't had it yet, but I'll be switching him to it. Also an expensive food, but their track record is absolutely pristine compared to literally every other dog food company....from the things I've read. This place is the only place that carries these foods and a variety of other *higher end* foods. So yeah, it's "that" kind of place lol. It's truly a fantastic store. Super super clean, the layout couldn't be any more perfect, the selection from foods to toys to treats is amazing. I am so glad I finally decided to go in here and it's super close to my house too. Alfie is still scared of cat rides lol, so when he finally grows out of that, I'll take him in so he can pick out some toys and treats himself. He will be 1 on January 3rd, so HOPEFULLY before then, he will get over his fear of the car rides lol. The staff here is incredible. I have yet to come across a rude one. All so friendly, incredibly helpful, and they engage. So many in retail don't anymore especially if their phone is in reaching distance lol. You really couldn't ask for a better pet store. Sure Petco and Petsmart are good and convenient because they huge and everywhere. Northwest Pets is a smaller store and just feels good supporting the smaller businesses...especially nowadays. Petco and Petsmart have nothing to worry about. The treats I get Alfie, bully sticks, can be found at Petco and at NW Pets. They're pricey little chew treats, but he absolutely loves them and they take awhile to devour lol..so it's worth the $$ and he's definitely worth it. Both stores are comparable in prices with those. NW Pets just has the foods that Petco and Petsmart don't carry. They have a couple, but yeah, NW Pets definitely has brands not carried at the bigger stores. Anyone who lives in the PNW and who has a cat and or a dog I guarantee have been to this store. It's such a great store. Again, glad I finally started to go here and regret waiting until recently. And if you've never been and want quality foods for your cat or dog, check it out! We have a few locations in the Boise area. Thanks for reading, Yelpingers! Cheers!

What a fun little place this is. Located RIGHT in downtown Boise this store has tons to offer…read more January 3rd was my little Alfred's 4th birthday! (Criesssss! They grow up so fast! Yelp! Let us use emojis!! Haha) Finding ANY place in Boise that sells birthday cakes for dogs...next to impossible. Took Alfie here on his Birthday bc they actually had some cakes and cupcakes for dogs. They're made by someone outside the store and who have a partnership with Mollys. The cakes were like $30!! And they're small! But too big for Alfred lol. Cupcakes were like $8 and perfect size for my little man. I got him one of those and he absolutely loved it. My apologies to the food truck who makes and sells these for not remembering their name. I've bought from them before at Green Acres when we had a Pound Fitness event for the humane society and they came out. They sell great products, all naturally made. Sorry. This is a review for Mollys haha. I'm just glad Mollys had something to choose from for his birthday. The store is beautiful laid out. I really love the inside. Obviously in a very old building. It's just so random to see a pet store in the middle of a downtown area...but wonderfully random. Will you pay a little more? Sure. It's downtown. It's not a big box store like Petsmart or Petco. It's privately owned and there's nothing better than supporting small businesses like this one. We walked in and place was packed. Tons of people and they all had their dogs with them. Pure heaven for me. Alfred is very shy and was a little overwhelmed lol. I was able to find everything here EXCEPT small bully sticks. They're his favorite and it seems like a lot of stores are no longer carrying them. Very sad. Northwest Pets stopped carrying them too. HOWEVER! I don't think Mollys stopped, they were just out. Hope that's the case. The man working was sooo nice and you can tell immediately he loves his job. Seriously tho...seeing beautiful doggies all day! How could anyone hate that job! They have a super clean area for you to bathe your pups too. I was very impressed with how clean it was. Another area that has all kinds of meat products for them to gnaw on...like actual cow meat/bones. I know I'm using the wrong terminology for it, but can't think of the right words haha. Alfie is too small for those but how convenient to have. My roommates dog would benefit greatly from that room. Plenty of toys, food, treats etc to choose from. Seriously, this store is an absolute gem. I'm so glad I finally discovered it. It's fun to bring my lil man downtown and now we have a place that's made just for him and his friends. Definitely check this place out. Go and support local businesses! Supporting local is great but when it comes to supporting a local PET STORE!! Hell yeah! Thanks for reading, YelperDoggos! Cheers!

The woman came out and confirmed the trim I wanted for my Maltese. She told me, it would be approximately 2hrs. (12:30 start) I came back by at 1415 to try and get pictures of his first salon visit. I was told," he didn't like the dryer,so they put him in a kennel that had a dryer" they would bring him up for grooming in 10 minutes. I went back home to wait for a text. 30 minutes later, they texted me that he was ready. I went back and picked him up. Nails were trimmed, however nothing was done that I asked for, privates trimmed, ear trim/cleaning/gland expressed, feet were minimally trimmed. So very disappointed! Stupid me didn't check all out before I left, and gave groomer great tip...never again will I visit again!

My kids have had betas before so we have the left over tanks. Since I'm traveling a lot they stay with their grandma and like to bring their fish so I got a travel tank AND all the other stuff needed including a new fish. After sifting threw their half dead collection of fish my wife and I settled on one. Once we finally approached the counter and the man assisting us had rang up everything we had, a small very rude woman comes up out of no where after my wife and I spent 20 min in, what she later told me, was her section. She starts very rudely saying I need a different tank. I said, okay I have a tank... And then she asks, "well what are the dimensions?" I then replied with, "I don't know exactly, are you really not going to sell this to me?" She then goes on to say she is the animal care taker and this is "HER" department and "SHE" decides who gets animals. Which is crazy because half the fish were dead and we were in "her" department for almost a half an hour and she was no where to be found until we where all rang up and ready to pay. Has anyone else had to bring proof of tank to buy a beta fish and spend money with Petco? The woman's name was Ember and she was extremely rude. She could have approached the situation a thousand different ways that didn't make my wife and I feel so small and demeaned. So now unfortunately because of Ember, I can no longer get a beta fish for my children at my neighborhood Petco because apparently Ember decides on who is and who isn't allowed to buy and own beta fish from Petco in eagle. My final comment is more of a question.... how do you give the dimensions of a fish bowl??? Honest question if someone knows the answer.
