They have items i havnt even seen at stores like Petco & Petsmart. They even have a selfwashing station where you can bring your own pet and was them there yourself! Sierra was very helpful throughout my entire shopping experience. She answered all of my questions and helped me sign up with an account. She Let me know what the store offers in terms of ordering things that arent available at the moment with no extra charge and the deals they have with certain items, very helpful !! It was fun watching a fitting of a Ruffwear harness on Aura so I had a way to hold her as she still thinks play us to make me chase her. Their suggestions of teething toys were great. This business is very informative and offer excellent products that you do not need to question too much. Many natural products for you and your four legged friends. They have some cool products to offer your canine and feline buddies. Since I primarily shop for my dog I cannot say much about kitties. They have cool dog toys, leashes, collars, beds, stuff for grooming, doggie ice cream/cake, and doggie beer and wine! They also have Happy Howies here. Oh, and there is this automatic dog wash in the back. Must I go on? Yes! They were really super helpful for my schnauzer. Schnauzers, I notice, are kind of finicky eaters. For years I have had the worst time trying to find food that my dog will eat. I have tried all kinds of products from Zam Zows, Petsmart, and Petco. The lady in the store came up to me and asked some really good probing questions. It was great because she wasn't someone wandering around the store to sell some garbage product. She provided several different samples of Fromm dog food, which my dog devoured like she never ate before. I have been buying Fromm ever since this day! Bark n' Purr is the only place I have found that carries Fromm. You want to find something that is good for your dog? Look no further. It was my first time in Bark N' Purr today and I was mightily impressed. From the moment my husband and I walked through the door, the kind ladies behind the counter were friendly and attentive. We were on the hunt for kangaroo dog food. It's hard to come by but they carry it. I believe they're one of the few places in Boise to do so. One of my dogs has severe food allergies and the lady who helped us was willing to send us home with samples of dog food as well as guarantee if our pup didn't like the food we purchased, we could bring it back and exchange it for another option! The store was clean with attractive displays. Prices weren't noticeably higher than the major chain pet supply stores. A great experience. They also have a punch card system that nets you free dog food after the purchase of so many bags. A wonderful shop on the Boise Bench. I look forward to spending more of my money there! read more

I had previously submitted a negative review 18 months ago for Bark n Purr but recently stopped by and was thrilled to learn it had changed owners. The new owner was there and was very friendly to me & my pet and acted interested in helping me. This was a huge contrast to the previous owner who I had encountered several times, the last time was right after my dog Kansas' first chemo treatment and I was looking for some treats and good that may appeal to him. It makes me still mad to remember how she treated us and I literally had left the store in tears. She had acted as of he was contagious (he had lost a lot of weight and hair) & was mostly concerned her cat was getting close to him and asked me to pick him up and carry him instead of letting him on his leash. Anyways, that's all in the past & I'm so thrilled I can once again visit Bark n Purr & not have to leave my neighborhood to find quality pet products. On that same note, we were also anxious about finding a place to wash him. We went to a few different places and were never wow'd, especially with the grooming aspect. Then we tried Bark n' Purr and immediately loved it! The staff is beyond friendly every time we go, and they have a few "house dogs" that are just as friendly! Huge selection of food and treats and toys as well. But the main reason we often go is there little self-wash machine they have for the dogs. It's incredibly convenient and easy to use and always gets our awesome pup super clean in just 10 minutes. Needless to say, we have found our "go to" and will be there all the time! I am not a fan of some of the corporate stores, and some of their practices are unethical and immoral, so to find Bark 'n' Purr was really great. The store is beautiful, they carry really premium products and food, and the staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. There's also a dog wash station and no matter what size furry friend you have, this store has what you need.
