No cavities and no work needed. I had cracked a tooth prior which I knew about but didn't think it was serious. Well apparently it was and caused a small cavity. Dr Castanaro fixed my tooth up....despite me acting like a huge baby when he needed to numb me. He worked quickly and was gentle. Was funny and kept me entertained while he worked. Maureen & Stephanie at the front desk are gems and will always work with you to schedule an appointment at a time that works best for you and help in understanding insurance billing. They rock and are a pleasure to speak with. The procedure was over quickly after they took the time to let the nitrous oxide and novacaine dull my senses. I heard the also offer general anesthesia. I might have considered that if I was having more done. They gave me plenty of time to recover and did not rush me out. They sent me home with an ice pack, some extra gauze and instructions on how to care for the site. Staff was friendly and explained the bill to me before and after (and nothing changed). The doctor even called me at home that evening to see how I was healing. Gentle but strong - good qualities for an oral surgeon. If you need oral surgery, call these guys.

We also worked on a cost estimate, which was very helpful as some of procedures are not fully covered by insurance. I trust his opinion wholeheartedly, and he is one of the few professionals I met who will really look out for you. It is not easy these days, in my experience, to find an excellent professional who does not upsell/ recommend expensive procedures you don't really need. Dr. Scheweiss is that rare find!
